question about an edit in a post

I noticed on one of my post it had ** and it said edit. I seemed to be bleeping out a website or something? it wasn't even a "bad" website. you can click on it :D no but really though why did they bleep it out? Is there a rule i missed about that or something? if there is I'm sorry that i broke it. Im one of those types of people that always likes to fallow rules.

I removed the name of a competing chat site which albeit is not a "bad" site, we don't exactly appreciate our competition being advertised here........kinda like walking through Walmart with a Target sign on your back.
