I don't believe in Satan, and neither do they.

Keep your fear, I don't want it.

You can keep your pity, too. Save it for the weak.

I will continue in prayer for you as without Christ you are actually weaker than the weakest weakling that ever was weak you just are oblivious to the fact, Just as I was prior to salvation. :)

Well *I* appreciated the story.

*sigh*

I suppose that's about all I should say, since I don't want to set off some huge debate on how we should treat or interact with those who believe differently than us.

Go spead the gospel the good news of Jesus if you go into a city and they do not accept the gospel you are to shake the dust of that city off your shoes and depart , this is what Jesus said to do, now we don't know but while one was sitting around in the skinned tepee did they witness for Jesus and if not why, didn't they want to upset the grandpa worshippers or didn't they want to let those wonderful people to know the only way to heaven according to Jesus was Jesus Himself , or was they ashamed of the gospel and ashamed that we think that Jesus is the only way when they believe themselves with the grandpa worshippers that they are many ways into heaven and if this is true then they need it quit saying that they are christians,

1jo 4:1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.1jo 4:2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:1jo 4:3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.1jo 4:4Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Wow, Wow and Wow again, just when ones thinks that maybe time in this forum is wasted and someone posts a thread about unity or lack of it. look i am so uplifted by this post not that someone mingled with a false religion but Look at all the posts that takes a stand against idolatry and a stand for Jesus being the only way , but to those that are struggling with this very issue, listen. all religions can't lead into heaven and all religions are not true, if all religions are true then all religions must preach that they are not the only way in, but all religions will lead us to the Way , but if One religion says that they are they only way, then all religions can't be true, we have to determined the true one. now for example muslem teaches you have to be a muslem and even that it is ok to kill infidels actually this will help you get in. so if the muslems and Christians say that their religion is the only way then all religions that say all religions are true can't be true , think it strange that muslems make the same statement about being the only way, as christians do, but christians are the only ones hated by the world for making a statement like this. think not that They hate you, for they hated me first: thus sayeth God, alot of people don't want to preach this about our God anymore but this is just as much Bible as John 3:16 is

Ex 34:14For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

so when we mingle with others religions thinking that we are pleasing our Father who art in Heaven because we are loving another as He has commanded , we are actually breaking His Heart because we are saying that grandfather could be Him . or budda could be of him or the hindu gods could be of Him. and all Jesus ever did for any of you was to love you enough to pay your sin debt but yet His followers can only say that Jesus must have been wrong when He said that He was the only way to the Father, for Grandfather said that there was many ways and theirs was one of them, Now I am starting to understand what Jesus meant when He said Father forgive them for they know not what they do!!

Way to be, what a tolerant person you are, making such a mockery of the 'grandpa worshipers' in the 'skinned teepee.'

Your ignorance brings my blood to a boil, you are another prime example of why the world cannot be a tolerant place, where everyone, of every faith can embrace one another as brother and sister.

The God I know would most certainly **** those of us with intolerant, hateful hearts. You call what you say love? Hardly. It is scorn and fear speaking. Does your Christ approve of such behavior?

Continue to praise the weak minded who cannot see beyond their own nose, because most certainly no good principled person will. Hate begets hate, ignorance begets ignorance, keep fueling the fires.

The self-righteous indignation of the evangelical makes the Catholic in me want to scream.

Edit:

Pillaged this most appropriate quote from another thread.

"Until the philosophy
which holds one race superior
and another inferior
is finally
and permanantly
discredited
and abandoned
Everwhere is war!

And until there's no longer
first class and second class citizens of any nation
until the color of a man's skin
is of no more significance
than the color of his eyes
I've got to say 'War!"

-War Bob Marley, paraphrasing Halle Sellasie's speech to the UN in 1963.

He is not any more, or less credible of a source than you, MaggieMye, Cup-of-Ruin, myself on such a personal topic.

Figure it out.

If Veritas or myself were to quote Yeshua in this thread, Mahogany, a majority of the posters would find themselves against what he said ;)

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
1 Peter 3:8

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear ... "
1 John 4:18

That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
1 Corinthians 12:25-26

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
1 John 3:17

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
Luke 10:33

To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
1 Corinthians 9:22

The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
Mark 12:31

Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Luke 6:31

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without
expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you
will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
Luke 6:35

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
John 8:34

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:8

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:7

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
1 John 4:18

And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Colossians 3:14

So much about loving others just as you love God, and a perfect love entails tolerance and acceptance.

Practice the things that you so vehemently preach.

...although obviously most of those quotes are referring to christian brethren in the body of Christ.

Nonetheless, what Thaddeus said about Jesus being the only way to heaven and not begin ashamed of the gospel was correct according to what Jesus said.

That kind of love that Jesus and God taught is not pluralistic , but objective towards seeing lost sinners saved by faith in Christ, the only way to heaven. To deny anyone that opportunity to salvation in the name of "tolerance" or "love" is equivalent to hate, from the Christian point of view.

In that sense it is no more ignorant than a doctor who prescribes radiotherapy to cancer patients as it is proven treatment, instead of sending them to the nearest natural medicine quack which will not work.

So, the old 'If you aren't one of us, and you refuse to be one of us, screw you!' approach?

Not everyone is an evangelical Christian, not everyone is going to become an evangelical Christian. Maybe it's time we started to accept that fact, and learned to coexist rather than fear one another.

God is not going to fault you for it, he is omnipotent, he can see your intentions through whatever it is you are doing. If you love an Atheist or a Wiccan as your closest friend, I can only imagine that God is going to praise you for such a display of perfect love and compassion.

If you shun them or treat them as inferior to yourself, I can only imagine that a god so rooted in the concept of a perfect love would only be disappointed.

Edit:

Also, does God not love every living being as his child? Naturally, we should do the same, in effect bringing ourselves closer to God.

I'm not sure what it has to do with treating others as inferior, that is your accusation. You clearly don't understand the Christian faith which has always been evangelical from the Catholics to the Lutherans to any denomination. Yes that means Christians will try to convert others to the faith whether indirectly and subtely or directly.

And no, according to the bible not everyone is His child, only those who are Christians.

Suggest you learn what christians believe first before showing your own intolerance and ignorance towards my faith, and accusing us of the same.
