You only believe in Christ because of chance. As a christian by choice I'm ashamed of you and I earnestly hope that you will open your focus.
Can you please explain what this means? How is his relationship with Christ by chance while yours is by choice?

I'm not saying that Muslims and Jews HAVE the Father. They know OF the Father but have not the Son so because they have not the Son, they have not the Father. They only worship what they know of the Father. They do not actually KNOW the Father.

So are they actually worshiping THE Father? No. How can you worship who you do not know. However, they are directing their worship toward who they believe is OUR God. They just don't KNOW Him. It's like trying to shoot the Sun with an arrow. It's just not going to fly.

:)

God bless.
I agree. Jews and Muslims do not 'know' the Father.

Any other God besides the Father the Son or the Holy Spirit is satan. The muslim book is in no way the same as the Jewish book.

This whole thread is beigning to seem very familiar. Arguements between the appostes over who is the greatest... about silly things like marraige in heaven. Jesus always answered them, though sometimes indirectly, and usually not how they expected. Sometimes there was a tiny rebuke included, if by nothing else, the tone of the response.. Why should you get so dug in on such a trivial point?

Salvation hinges on an acceptance of and relationship with Christ.

We agree on that.

Would you also agree that we have higher priorities than honing our appologetics skills?
Don't get me wrong, discusions are interesting and have the potential to iron out some details that are otherwise divisive. But consider what has been accomplished so far during this particular discussion.

So far, this is what I see;

Someone has become spiteful,
someone has been offended,
someone is angry,
someone feels stupid for not writing well,
someone has drawn a line of division where there should be none,
someone has blashphemed,
someone has seen what Christians in a Christian website have written to and about eachother and laughed
someone has seen what Christians in a Christian website have written to and about eachother and cried
someone has seen what Christians in a Christian website have written to and about eachother and written off Christ.

Who has been blessed by it?

I know that this sort of thing can be discussed, but I think it's time to cool some jets and focus on more edifying goals. God bless you guys, all of you. We are trying to work through and discuss faith. Let's not counter the work of the cross. Here of all places. May the enemy be stripped of footholds.

Polarguy, I agree that this thread has deteriorated at a few points along the way, and I understand what you are saying about not arguing about trivial points and how our time can be better spent. I also share your concern about how some of the comments in this thread would be perceived by non-Christians.

However, this is a Christian website and I very much wanted to seek the opinions of other Christians on this issue, which, trivial as it may be, has been on my mind for years. Yes, I could've googled it, and I did, but that only gave me 3 or 4 opinions. So far in this thread 15-20 people have voiced their opinion, all of whose input I appreciate.

If everyone supressed their curiosity about trivial issues, I don't think there would be many threads in this forum. I do however agree that it is unfortunate when arguments descend into insults and judgement.

As I said, the intent is not to stiffle discussion; discussion is fine, but it was getting beyond discussion. I only suggested that people cool off for a bit and think about what they are writing and effects on eachother and this site.

In light of what you just said previous to that message, I agree.

Maybe this kind of topic is best not discussed on the internet, for everyone to see. People can get the wrong impression from this so easily.

People all around the world are deceived by Catholicism & Islam which are the same!!! There is information out there that people dismiss as conspiracy theory because they underestimate the evil power of conspiracy. As messengers of God's Word, we must help & share the truth with EVERYONE who is in need of such things. If God is in U... U'll know the truth... & U'll share it!!! Here is a video that breaks down a large portion of todays deception. Get Ur popcorn cuz its a long one.

The RCC has a horrible track record, but I would not say that it and Islam are the same.

I often wonder this.

Muslims believe that they worship the God of Abraham, the God spoken of in the Torah.

We know that as Christians, we worship the God of the bible.

Obviously the islamic faith is wrong, as they do not accept that Jesus is God, and are not saved. But are they worshiping the same God we are? Just in a distorted, incorrect and futile manner? Surely not.
There is no such thing as "the same God, but in a distorted manner." Consider when Aron created the golden calf. He did not say, "let's all worship this other god." He said "this is the LORD which brought you up out of Egypt." By virtue of his incorrect definition of God, and the creation of an idol, it became an impostor, not God. Paul said "if anyone preach any other gospel or any other Jesus..." This is a serious issue. Having similar, or even correct terminology does not denote the knowledge of God as God. But this is even more pervasive, as the God and Jesus preached in many churches looks more like Santa Clause than the God of the Bible.

As for Islam, we know from 1 John that whoever sins, as a style of life, is of the devil. We also know that theirs is a religion that is predicated upon hatred and destruction, however they dress it up. Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. It is obvious that they operate by strong demonic influence and power. Whether it is Satan, himself, or a strong principality, is somewhat irrelevant. The fact remains that their god is an impostor, and evidenced, by the fruit that they bear, that it is inherently evil.

This confuses me.Their holy book speaks of a God just like ours, but unlike our God theirs is basically off limits. You cannot have a personal relationship with Allah,he does not intertwine himself in human affairs.
I think that's because they don't have Christ.

I think that islam is an invention of satan, who has a keen interest in seeing it spread. The question is, is the 'God' that muslims claim to worship really satan?
Be very careful if you have not studied the word of God in its fulness. God is no respecter of persons.
(Isa 60:6) The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord.
(Isa 60:7) All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
(Isa 60:8) Who [are] these [that] fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
(Isa 60:9) Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
Many Muslims are the sons of Ismeal the son of Abraham, and God has a place for them in heaven also.

Christ does not have a place for anti-christ muslims in His Kingdom!!!!

Was His suffering in vain? Was not the shedding of divine blood enough? It was not necessary you say for the Son of God to become incarnate? Is not His blood worthy? His life? His death? His conquering of Hell? His defeat of the Devil? Not enough? Not necessary? He did not need to do it? And to deny the Son, that is not acceptable, one cannot deny the Son, if you deny the Son you deny the Father!!!! If Muslims get into Christ's kingdom, then I want out!!!!!

God has no place for Muslims, unless they repent they shall all likewise perish!!!!!!

Unless they make Christ the soveriegn Lord of their lives, the only place they will be going is to the grave!!!!
