The simple fact that the holiday was and is still being reverenced of another god and is USING the birth of Christ in EXCUSE to reverenced THEM. SATAN has deceived us all I can not and should not keep saying this

There is no biblical proof that Christ was born on that day or season for that matter. If you did not know when was your friend's birthday is , would you pick a DATE to celebrate it? Then you would be placing your own philosophy to justify your actions= similar to Christmas or other things.

The issue I have is that Satan has infiltrated the church to the point where people are placing their own beliefs over what GOD says.

Christmas did not come from anti Jewish thought or action. It came about because the roman empire had to make it easier for their pagan people to accept this newfound religion being instituted as the church of the state, thus is took pagan ritual and twisted it some, put the name of Christ on it. and made it easier for people to cross over.

Other than scripture I have no words for you because everyone has a choice to either accept scripture for what it is or places philosophies on what you intend it to be.

Like I already stated, nothing you have quoted (from scripture) says that celebrating the Lord's birth is wrong. Jeremiah 10 is talking about idols and worshiping them as God.

Correct me if I'm wrong here: it seems that you are assuming that every Christian who celebrates christmas, is worshiping the christmas tree. This is another 'blanket statement'. You don't know what goes on in every individual christian home at christmas time, do you? You don't know what the meaning of christmas is in the hearts of christian believers around the world, do you? Does God not search the heart? Is God not more concerned with the heart then with outward actions? If my heart is right with God, and I choose to celebrate the birth of the Son on any day, then that is my choice. You are determining another's freedom based on your conscience.

Furthermore, because you have assumed that christmas is wrong in every instance, for every person, you have applied verses to your topic that say foolishness, or following after the world is wrong. Out of context, and only used to prove your point. Tell me...does the world actually celebrate Jesus' birthday at Christmas? Do you have a day where you celebrate God's gift to the world?

EG made a good point about people coming to Christ at Christmas time. God uses what was meant for evil - He turns it around into good. EG also had a good point about no longer arguing over this nonsense. Preach Christ - don't get caught up in this mumbo jumbo.

Why do people think that if they receive the slightest bit of 'push back', then that is proof that they must be right? Its sad how much you seem to think you are wiser then the rest of us. You have not even quoted one scripture that says that celebrating the birth of Christ is wrong. Please, at least, reference one since you are so bent on telling us how much scripture supports your view. You are the one who started this thread...aren't you? Did you expect everyone to jump on board with what you were saying, just because you were saying it? Do you not think that some of us have looked into this on our own and have come to a different conclusion then you have? Or, do you just assume that we are all ignorant?
