Love of the body of Christ does not end when one dies. It is for all eternity,

as is the love within the Trinity, after which love in the body of Christ is patterned.

Your thoughts of God are too human.
The body of flesh is made from the dust of the earth. The dust of the earth is contaminated by sin. This is why we age and die. We will be given a new body made like unto that of the risen Christ. A perfect body that will not grow old or tire or get hungry.

Eye hath not seen nor ear heard nor has entered into the heart of man what God has for those who love Him. Our love for family and friends is but a shadow of our love for our dear Savior. We will not look back but will know that He who loves us will do far better at caring for those we leave behind than we ever could.

Why did Jesus tell His disciples that they would hate their father, mother and brothers if they were to follow Him? Our love for Christ is to be so great that by comparison the love we have for the dearest here on earth is hatred. When our sojourn here on earth is done we will enter into the long awaited rest that Christ has promised. A reward so great it will eclipse all else.

Too human? I'm laughing. Perhaps even my greatest aspirations of heaven are still too human.

People have no idea about the Catholic church. They heard one person say something, or read one book and think they understand 2000 years of history.

There are good people in the Catholic church, who will be in the new earth, and others who won't. The same as in all other churches.
I agree and will add....only those who trust into Christ in a biblical manner as NO one will make the proverbial gates unless they are in Christ according to the demands laid down by the Heavenly Father......I also agree with your statement about all churches.......

.
It's not about dust. . .it's about the new creation in the new birth of the spirits of those who are in Christ, which your too-human thinking ignores.

Our love for family and friends
Speaking too humanly again, measuring eternal love by earthly love,
with no allowance for the nature of love in the body of Christ in eternity.

I am commanded by God (Christ) to love my enemies; This would include atheists and satanists (and yes; Even Catholics). Doesn't mean it is wrong for me to tell them and others (Such as Catholics) that they are on the wrong road or a path of spiritual destruction. It doesn't mean it is wrong to expose their wicked practices that run contrary to the Bible. For nobody is truly a Christian if they worship idols. They are worshiping a false Christ because Jesus does not approve of sin or idolatry. For an idolater cannot be a Christian anymore than they can be a serial killer or a child abuser.
LOL! x Twice

I don't know where you get this bigoted ****!

Your romantic notions ignore the reality of God's holiness and God's indignation toward sin.

Sorry you are not articulating the point with any specificity.

As much as I love my family I cannot do for them what Christ does every moment of every day.

That pretty much establishes your "apprehension" of God's glorious grace in Christ Jesus reconciling to himself all things on earth and in heaven in his new creation, born of God himself.

As far as you're concerned, God looks with indignation on his glorious work in his new creation in his Son.

Luke 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men...

You sure got that backwards, throwing around your scripture bombs, bearing false witness against your brother. Shame on you.

I did not say "Thank God that I am not Protestant." That would fit with the scripture you erroneously posted.

I did said "Thank God I am Catholic".

I am grateful for that, and I thank God for that. That is saying nothing whatsoever about the Protestants.

Pray for God's mercy, that you not be judged by Him as you judge others.

God bless

I see you are viewing this as though God is concerned about this world. This world is condemned. When God looks at His new creation in us He sees His Son and His righteousness. It is incorrect to assert that I see God as having indignation toward His new creation for I know that this is not yet. We are not yet glorified with Christ and this world is yet to be purified for Gods use. Creation groans for the day but it awaits as do we but the old things pass away and the new things are to come.

So you're just elitist.

I thank God that among sinners He saved me for His glory. Saved by grace and sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption. I am not worthy nor do I deserve any special merit but I am saved and I owe a debt of grace that I can never repay. Like Paul chiefest among sinners and least among the saints.

Straw man. . .your methodology gives away your religious persuasion.

And that pretty much confirms your misapprehension of God's new creation in Christ Jesus,
born of God himself.

Pay attention. The discussion was never about planet earth.

It's been about the body of Christ on earth and the body of Christ in heaven.

Thanking God for His awesome blessings in my life makes me "elitist"?

Let's stop that now. This beating our chest prayers are giving me an eerie feeling. And that's not just directed at you Roger. Maynard touched on it too.
