I don't think that Jason is a dork. Your post was rude. Hopefully it was not a true representative of your character.

Here Jason.................

What the Bible Says about Samson - Official Bible...

(excerpt)

What the Bible Says about Samson

Samson was from the Israelite tribe of Dan. According to the Bible, the Danite tribe consisted of the descendants of Dan, a son of Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel’s maidservant (Genesis 30:40). In the Biblical account, Dan is one of the two children of Bilhah, Rachel’s handmaid and one of Jacob’s wives, the other child of Bilhah being Naphtali. Some scholars see this as indicating that the authors saw Dan and Naphtali as being not of entirely Israelite origin (being descendants of handmaids rather than of full wives) so I can only presume that may be why they portrayed Samson as black in this movie series; however, the Bible does not say Samson was black, nor that he was not of the Jewish race. This is theory, in my opinion, as the Bible does not tell us what color of skin Samson had. Certainly there is a possibility there were Ethiopians who may have been black who joined the original Israelites. Moses married one. (Moses’ first wife Zipporah was “Shemitic” (descended of Noah’s son Shem). However, Moses married a second time to a woman from Ethiopia (Kush)–whose name is never mentioned. This can be found in the Bible: Numbers 12:1: And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.)
So Judges 16:17 doesn't mean anything to you? It gives you no insight whatseover into the type of man that Samson was like? Can a man with big muscles be as weak like other men who do not have muscles?

I am not looking to carry out my own sense of justice. The Lord will execute justice in this world against all those who do not repent of their sins. It is my hope that you see your wrong behavior and repent of it. For I want only want what is wholesome and good for you in Christ Jesus.

You are right, Tourist. It was a bit rude, I guess.

Strictly speaking though, I did not call Jason a dork.
I said "People who act like dorks .... "

Sorry Jason.

But if we are being honest, Arnold is included in "all other men".
Even muscular men are weak in comparison to the physical deeds of Sampson while strengthened.
The verse does not say "I will become weak, just like an average man",
but that
"I will become weak,
and be just like all other men."

You see, being average or being muscular makes no difference. This phrase includes them both as being "all men", and as being "weak", or more appropriately for your understanding: "mere mortals".

There are one or two translations of that verse that could be twisted to provide (very weak) evidence for Sampson being average... but it is a stretch.
The only evidence is that the Philistines knew that his strength was not merely physical, and were searching for the source of it, in order to subdue him.

Sometimes even when you are right you are still wrong.

Every man who is married knows that. It can get confusing.

More like whine and cry to the moderators or just tune us out like his radio analogy.......! The bible DOES NOT IMPLY he was weak...another one of his over active imaginatory dreams!

Oh, and folks who are giving you "likes" should be ashamed of themselves for backing your wrong behavior, too.

listen, if there was a dislike button, this forum would have to get more broadband for some of the posts you write

take that any way you want

we shouldn't like something because you say so? oh mamma...I better button the lip

I see something...but not what you think

the phrase 'all men' means without the supernatural strength endowed Samson by God

I don't know what Samson looked like, but it's sad to think that his lust for worldly women ultimately led to him being captured, his eyes gouged out, his feet shackled and then used to grind grain in the prison. Even though he was avenged by God and given one last surge of strength to take down the house by pushing out the main pillars of the arena and killing all the Philistines, Samson died as well.

Just makes me sad. I sometimes wish his father would have taken him out to the wood shed and beaten some sense into him. But his parents always gave in to his carnal whims. *sigh* :(

Yep. The American way !
Nevertheless, God already knew what Samson was going to do from the get-go and thought it important enough a lesson to include in His Holy written Word. So the moral of the story is:

COUNT THE COST!!! The things the world offers can only provide fleeting thrills. :p
