Also consider this, this two couple had a very ill child maybe two or three years old he had some type of cancer and it was eating away at his body. But they said that instead of relying on the chemo or man made medicine they would allow God to to heal the boy, this outraged many ppl because first off some weren't even Christian but also they were putting their child's life in danger because they assumed God would heal him, they had the faith they prayed and they believed but in the end the child perished.

I also heard there are a group of protesting believers who want science gone period no more man made medicine or the studies of the earth nothing. How do we not know that God doesn't used these medicines to heal us? in fact it's because of these medicines I am alive today it's because of them I can even function correctly during the day. Had this couple had understood this their child might have survived, healing from God is not always a supernatural thing sometimes he uses us and uses doctors to answer prayers

There was this couple in my city. They had a child who became ill, but their religious beliefs didn't allow for them to accept taking the child to the doctors. What he had was treatable. He died.

The couple had a second child, the same problem hit the second child. The courts stepped in. The problem with crappy religious beliefs is it allows the state to take over, making void America's First Amendment. On the other hand, they saved the second boy's life. It also protects the other kids from the stupidity of the parents. But, I know what foster care is in this country. So religious beliefs ruined more than one child's life.

Why do we always seek to manipulate God? Why do we not simply trust God to sent into our lives what we need and what will glorify Him?

You will never seek to be closer to God then when you are suffering. Which would you choose? To be closer to God or to be healthy? Will you allow God to refine you and make you as fine gold for His glory?

Are charismatics and Pentecostals really that Spiritually shallow? A lack of the knowledge of the blessed presence of God. Jesus suffered and all the witnesses in Hebrews 11 suffered should we not expect even rejoice to suffer like they?

Yes there are conditions to healing:
1) Christians have to wait until after death & after the resurrection to have a perfect body. In fact many blessings we do not attain to until after death.

2) There is no way to avoid death except possibly by being alive at the Rapture.

So don't throw away your glasses, drive, & kill someone thinking you have perfect eyesight when you need glasses. And don't think that when you are 80, you can run around like you could when you were 20.
Moses did.

Honestly? I keep hoping he let's me have my cake and eat it too. How about be healthy AND stick close to him?

Alas, not my will but his be done. But, I really do get healthy some day. Going to have to bury this body, but I hear the new one is permanent and perfect, so... cool!

Placing conditions on Gods grace is an overt attempt to manipulate God. Of the two thieves on the cross one sought mercy and the other sought to manipulate Christ. Who made out the better?

The only condition I can think of is that the Lord isn't using the illness for His purposes. I know that He often does things like that; even if the person who is ill is not out of His will. Sometimes the lord will use an illness to bring a loved one to Himself, or to discipline a wayward believer other than the one who is ill.

[h=4]It seems to me the one condition for all of the things God has for us is faith. It's not about manipulating God at all but learning to do as He says. The thief on the cross didn't have to learn how to walk with Jesus in his daily life. He didn't need to find out how to learn to walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh., To walk by faith and not by sight.

Joy in the HolyGhost... we have it but we don't always walk in it. It's not manipulating God to find out "how" and to experience that joy for our finding out. Or our healing for that matter. Some healing is immediate and an instant miracle. While other healing does take time but it's still a miracle. God uses doctors and hospitals and medicine in this life. It foolish imo to think He would by-pass the process each and every time. Imo, it's not a lack of faith but the process of faith. Part of the renewing of our minds.
If it wasn't, what would "diligently seek Him" mean? It must also have to do with keep on having faith and keep on diligently having faith regardless of what we see and feel knowing that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. It's a promise to be claimed.

Hebrews 11:6[/h]
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

[/TD]
[/TR]
[/TABLE]
It pleases God when we believe that He is the giver, the blesser and that “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”. Such was the faith of Ruth the Moabitess. When she decided to make the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob her God, she found Him to be her rewarder, who lovingly provided for her, divinely guided her, jealously protected her, gloriously redeemed her from her hopeless situation and richly restored her life.

Today, this same God says to you that He is your rewarder. And when He is involved in your life, you will be amply rewarded. Peter, the fisherman, would testify to that. His fishing boat, which represented his life, caught nothing the whole night. But in the morning, when the boat was returned to him after he had loaned it to Jesus, it was no longer the same boat. It was anointed, blessed and so magnetized that a great number of fish was attracted to it. In fact, he received a net-breaking, boat-sinking load of fish! (Luke 5:1–11)

Beloved, because God is your rewarder, if He borrows your “boat” even for a while, be assured that He will surely return it to you with a supernatural increase. Even if what you give Him is little, when placed in His hands, it will return to you blessed, anointed and multiplied.

This happened to the little boy who gave Jesus his lunch of five barley loaves and two fish. It must have thrilled the boy to see his small lunch supernaturally multiplied and satisfying not just him, but 5,000 men, not counting the women and children, and even leaving behind 12 baskets full of leftovers. (John 6:1–13)

Beloved, believe that God is a rewarder. When you give Him your finances, time, possessions and abilities, know for sure that He will return them to you blessed, anointed and multiplied!

Joni Eareackson Tada has faith and yet doesn't have faith? If faith is all it takes -- and by faith you mean our faith, not God's faith -- then why would God heal her of breast cancer in her 60's, but never heal her quadriplegia she's had since she was 17? She lacks joy? lol How can you lack joy when you can paint like she does, write like she does, and, better yet, help disabled people from all around the world in simple and complex ways?

WoF isn't the gospel. It's a three-card monte where the cards are stacked against you. It's a fool's game with fire consequences. Just because you'd rather create a god that works for you, stop convince others that this fake god is the real deal.

When seeking from God, I'm learning to go to His Word and believe. I'm not going to make the mistake of watching how someone else relates to God and pattern my life based on another believers life experiences. If you chose to do that Lynn, it's your prerogative.

It's not my business to ask God -how come you did thus and so with him or her and not with me? God can do or not do whatever He wants.

The Bible says not to compare ourselves with others because that is foolish. The world has SO many contradictions that it takes time and effort for me 'not' to look at it and other people above what the Bible says. We each have our own stories of life and we can't insist other people jump on our 'train of thought' because it makes sense to us. That's not right or fair.

I don't even play cards. It's ok for us to disagree with one another, but the name calling is uncalled for Lynn. Until God shows me that I must look at His word the way 'you' do, I'm going to keep believing and sharing the way He has shown me. And.... since you are not the Forum Police., I can share my thoughts just as well as anyone else here does. If you don't like my posts., don't read them... simple solution. :D

Promises in the Bible about healing and wholeness. Whether for spiritual, mental or physical healing. The Word of God to read and know and believe.

Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
— Isaiah 53:4–5 (AMP)
But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
— Isaiah 53:5 (NLT)
… who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
— 1 Peter 2:24
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
— Romans 8:11
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
— Romans 8:32
Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached Him and knelt before Him. “Lord,” the man said, “if You are willing, You can heal me and make me clean.” Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” He said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared.
— Matthew 8:2–3 (NLT)
“Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. He sent out His word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.
— Psalm 107:19–20 (NLT)
For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.
— Psalm 91:3 (NLT)
He also brought them out with silver and gold, and there was none feeble among His tribes.
— Psalm 105:37
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
— 3 John 1:2 (NASB)
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have [it] more abundantly.”
— John 10:10
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.
— Psalm 91:5–7 (NLT)
With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.
— Psalm 91:16
“…I am the Lord who heals you.”
— Exodus 15:26
“I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the Lord.
— Jeremiah 30:17 (NLT)
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.
— Psalm 103:2–3
My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they [are] life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.
— Proverbs 4:20-22
[h=4]Everyone Who Came To Jesus Was Healed[/h]And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
— Matthew 4:23
News about Him spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to Him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon-possessed or epileptic or paralyzed—He healed them all.
— Matthew 4:24 (NLT)
When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.” Jesus said to him, “I will go and heal him.”
— Matthew 8: 5–7 (NIV)
When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore [our] sicknesses.”
— Matthew 8:16–17
…Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!” And the man jumped up and went home!
— Matthew 9:6–7 (NLT)
Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them [the] lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.
— Matthew 15:30
Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed Him.
— Matthew 20:34 (NIV)
And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand. So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him. And He said to the man who had the withered hand, “Step forward.” Then He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent. And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched [it] out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.
— Mark 3:1–5
A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind Him through the crowd and touched His robe. For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch His robe, I will be healed.” Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition.
— Mark 5:25–29 (NLT)
Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. “What do you want Me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
— Mark 10:49–52 (NIV)
When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them.
— Luke 4:40
And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed [them] all.
— Luke 6:19
A funeral procession was coming out as He approached the village gate. The young man who had died was a widow’s only son, and a large crowd from the village was with her. When the Lord saw her, His heart overflowed with compassion. “Don’t cry!” He said. Then He walked over to the coffin and touched it, and the bearers stopped. “Young man,” He said, “I tell you, get up.” Then the dead boy sat up and began to talk! And Jesus gave him back to his mother.
— Luke 7:12–15 (NLT)
And a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, He called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then He put His hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.
— Luke 13:11–13 (NIV)
One of the men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him and knew he had been ill for a long time, He asked him, “Would you like to get well?” “I can’t, sir,” the sick man said, “for I have no one to put me into the pool when the water bubbles up. Someone else always gets there ahead of me.” Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!” Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking!
— John 5:5–9 (NLT)
“…how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”
— Acts 10:38

I just recived the Holy Ghost (with the bible evidence of speaking in tongues ) and was healed instantly from migraines, smoking, drinking and drugs ! in fact it was two weeks plus, before I even noticed..no withdrawals etc ..gone...and surprise, surprise I said thank you Father ..

Once you receive the Holy Ghost (rom 8v9) ..your body is the Temple of God..dosnt want a sick temple.must maintain faith..prayer in the spirit (1Co 14:14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

3Jo 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

also remember the gift of healing isnt bestowed upon the one praying for you , but the person who is healed gets the gift !

Praise Jesus!!! Very glad for you Saint-John. God works in mysterious ways. He sometimes heals right away and other times not. How wonderful that you didn't have to go through the withdrawals and those things associated with addiction. He is worthy to be praised!!!! :D

I don't know all there is to know about the gift of speaking in tongues as I was saved many years before receiving the gift just this year. But I know God deals with each of us differently. I surely do rejoice with you brother!!!!

Faith is by believing and seeing that it is done once you pray. Our flesh will always need healing because we live in a sinful world. Doesn't mean our soul isn't healed from our past and our future protected because of our savior. If you believe in your heart that you are healed then you are, once you let go of the questions of if then your healing will come.

It's your call to check out the scammers you trust in. But you refuse to put in the effort even when it was handed to you. Don't blame that on God and certainly don't preach that malarkey like it's gospel.

It is my duty to stop you from taking away sheep. At least give a warning when the wolf approaches. Yup, really is.

WOLF ALERT!

Are there conditions or requirement that we have to have/do to get healed after prayer. Some can have all the faith but no healing....why would that be?
How are things going, Graybeard? Haven't seen you for a while. It does seem to me the Lord requires a couple of things from us. He wants us to repent of our sin and forgive others, yes?

[TD="colspan: 3, align: left"]When the devil accuses us of having done wrong and tells us that we don’t deserve God’s blessings, what should we do? Well, the Lord showed me one day what we are to do. We are to point everything back to Jesus, who qualifies us for all of God’s blessings.

So when the devil says, “You are not righteous enough,” just look to Jesus and declare, “He is my righteousness!”

When the devil says, “You are not holy enough,” just look to Jesus and declare, “He is my sanctification!”

When the devil says, “You don’t deserve to be healed,” just look to Jesus and declare, “By His stripes I am healed!”

When the devil says, “You don’t qualify for the blessing,” just look to Jesus and declare, “He is my qualification!”

Each time you point everything back to Jesus, the devil has nothing to say because Jesus qualifies you for all of God’s blessings. In and of yourself, you do not qualify. Without Christ, there is nothing good in you which can qualify you.

But with Christ, your disqualification becomes your qualification for the undeserved, unearned and unmerited blessings of God. And because God puts your life in Christ (Colossians 3:3), who is the all-deserving one, you become all-deserving. Because you are in Christ, you are qualified.

Jesus qualifies you because He died for you and gave you a blood-bought right to every blessing of God. You have a blood-bought right to a life full of meaning, purpose and abundance. You have a blood-bought right to walk in divine health. You have a blood-bought right to God’s provision even when the economy is bad. You have a blood-bought right to preferential treatment because God favors you. You have a blood-bought right to the good life!

My friend, you have a right to all these blessings not because you are good, but because Jesus shed His blood and qualified you to have them. So don’t let the devil or anyone tell you that you can’t expect to walk in the blessings of God![/TD]

There are Christians who have come to this kind of faith and are walking in these provisions. And there will be Christians who cannot even stomach this kind of talk and will and have called it wrong. I was one of them. Now I believe that the only reason I have anything is because Jesus gave His blood to secure my well being now and for eternity. Knowing you are loved and cared for even when you see how unworthy you are is the journey to see Christ and not self. In all things. Grace is unmerited undeserving in all ways. Faith is believing it is because of Jesus righteousness that as believers we are now righteous.

Then we can go on this journey to learn about how healing happens in the believers life and why we can expect it and all of God's provisions met above and beyond our expectations.
