A young man dying on a road...Why am I always willingly leaping into such depths ... yet here I go.. a young boy just about to turn 18 , within 25 more days, was happily going alone his way to buy a car part for his first car. PLEASE STAY & READ, As he was returning home, a few gang members mistook his car for one they were told to " hit" . They killed this young man, I will tell no more here, yet what I will tell you is a passer by, a stranger to this young man, stopped out of kindness & the love of God & prayed with the broken dying young man, leading him to God.now the young man died there on the "seen", who of you will tell his mother or family that this young man, for lack of time for a ,"" proper "" baptism "" who will tell this mother which now has hope, that her son is not saved, because of what you beleave,,, I will be waiting for your post back to tell me,, His mother.

...to say no one will enter heaven without baptism is extremism, and not biblical.
the thief on the cross is our proof and is for our comfort...
The justified thief on the cross may actually well have been baptized, assuming he was a jew. That said, to say that a soul never possibly can be saved unless he's baptized (in water) would be extreme.

This is a very good observation, then again the new covenant was being fulfilled. Which covenant saved them?

and that's exactly my point that I have seen so many people believe that "Baptism" is their ticket into heaven. I mean, people talk like their life changed because they were baptized but in reality it should be we were baptized because our life changed, by Jesus' saving grace. So that's what made me question that according to Scriptures, is it absolutely necessary to be baptized?

It has been the belief of some faiths since christianity was born that children need baptism, latter in the life of that child they had confirmation which was to confirm that they do accept God.

I have talked with some protestants that get baptized many times and they do it for the forgiveness of sins in leu of a confessions.

That's what Methodists believe in. I was baptized at a young age, 5, and then I had my confirmation when I was 16 years old.

Act 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
Act 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Act 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
Act 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

To be baptized is always an edifying experience, and it promotes unity when it's truly unto death of the flesh. Solitude is the next step after baptism. If you've been baptized, be baptized by the Word of God while in solitude next (I recommend at least 7 days).

If we really understand the example of Jesus, we'll not skip this part:

Mar 1:9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
Mar 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
Mar 1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Mar 1:12 And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness.
Mar 1:13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.
Acts 10:44-46 proves you do not have to be baptised in order to be saved/a Christian, unless you believe an unsaved person can be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues

Romans 6:3 - Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Those verse explains that the thife,Moses and Adam and all the Prophets and righterius people of Old Testament got their bath of forgiveness of the sins in mistery of blood and water that came out from Christ ribs.

There is nothing unknown and climing that thief on the Cross wasnt baptized is just one of many new things of modern times and different churches which have nothing with true Church of God.Denying that baptism isnt vital and first thing on the start of the way of salvation is twisting of the true.
Do not act foolish!Do not restrict Jesus Christ to no one!

As for me, I strongly believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is the most important. Acts 19:1 ¶ And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples 2 he said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" So they said to him, "We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit." 3 And he said to them, "Into what then were you baptized?" So they said, "Into John's baptism." 4 Then Paul said, "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus." 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. Those believers that Apostle Paul spoke with told him that they had been baptized into John's baptism, if John's baptism was very much important to someone who had believed in the gospel, Apostle Paul would not stated as it was written in Acts 19 vs 4 that "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is on Christ Jesus."

Now take a deep thought on this (John 1: 24-33) Vs 24 Now those who were sent were from the Pharisees. 25 And they asked him, saying, "Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?" 26 John answered them, saying, "I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know. 27 "It is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose." 28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. 29 ¶ The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30 "This is He of whom I said, 'After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.' 31 "I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water." 32 And John bore witness, saying, "I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. 33 "I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, 'Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.'

John was instructed to baptize with water so that while doing his assignment, Christ might be revealed unto him and unto Israel just as he had stated in the passage above. Therefore, if Christ has been revealed unto a man through the gospel, why then does he have to go back to that which was instituted to reveal the Christ?

Be baptized in the Holy Ghost and with the evident in tongues, Acts 19:6, once that is achieved, you do not need any other.

When i was a baby my parents had me dedicated at a Baptist church. My father who was Catholic thought when I was 10 I should be baptized at the Catholic church, so I was. After my father died my Mom and me started attending a Baptist church, they told my Mom they didn't recognize Catholic baptism. So I was baptized AGAIN. After a few years of feeling judged and not worthy in that church, I left. My now husband and I decided to find a church that we felt comfortable in and wanted to raise our family in. So we joined a Presbyterian church. I asked if I needed to be baptized AGAIN. They said no.

I would also like to note:

Out of all this people you mentioned, had Jesus died for their sins already?

If we do not know about God but live a life pleasing to God why can not they be saved? In the other hand if we know about God and do not do what it is pleasing to God do we get saved?

I believe we need one baptism for the forgiveness of sin, but God is the judge not me. Will I risk to be wrong for my eternity? No, and I hope that I am right for the Lord.

To this I would add. does it matter? And I would then ask. are people saved today different than those in the OT. and finally, if they are. why?

If we do not know about God but live a life pleasing to God why can not they be saved? In the other hand if we know about God and do not do what it is pleasing to God do we get saved?
to the first question. no. because all have sinned and fall short.
to the second. Who can live a live 100 % pleasing to God, who have not failed already? And if this is a requirement for salvation. What is the cut off which says if you are this good, you are saved, if you are not, you are doomed?

I believe we need one baptism for the forgiveness of sin, but God is the judge not me. Will I risk to be wrong for my eternity? No, and I hope that I am right for the Lord.
Correct. So then the question arises. is it the baptism performed by God himself? or the one performed by men? And if it is the one performed by God himself. would not a belief in the baptism perfomred my men be blasphemy, as it trys to replace and act f=done spiritual by God with an act done physically by the hands of men. Meaning it is no different than the jews in the NT who tried to insist physical circumcision was a requirement for salvation. Whan Paul said it was not the physical act, but the spiritual act done by the hands of God through baptism.

I don't see that you Must be baptized to be saved. I do question why a person doesn't want to, or not have the desire be baptized though.

Must a person be baptised to have their sins forgiven?

A person is powerfully convicted of their sin by the Holy Spirit. They kneel on the floor, tears streaming down their cheeks and cry out to God to forgive them their sin, and they ask Christ into their life as Lord and Saviour, and believe this has been done.

What will God say at this point?

'I will forgive you, but not yet, only once you have been Baptised.'

Doesn't sound right to me.

"And he said unto them, go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:15-16). Listen people! Baptism is a commandment or requirement for salvation. To reject baptism is death; so, why will you die? Every soul that is baptized honors God and every soul that rejects baptism dishonors God. "And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John. But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him." (Luke 7:29-30). People, if you are in a position to be baptized, why reject the counsel of God? Rejecting God's counsel will get you eternal life in the burning flames (lake of fire) with the scribes and Pharisees. "For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, Ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5: 20). Anyone that is not baptized is a person with their sins yet upon them, because it is the baptism that washes away our past sins. "And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord." (Acts 22:16): Remember, before his crucifixion, Jesus told his disciples that his time (death) is not yet come; He also informed them that their time (death) can come at any moment. Brothers and sisters I beg of you, don't delay your baptism. Also, Jesus said with his own mouth; (Matt. 24:13) But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
