Still?

There are situations of life we can learn from. But, cancer gnaws at the body...eating flesh, muscle and bone. Don't tell me anyone would praise God for this. Pain Meds yes.
Did Stephen praise God as those stone were bashing his body until he died? Why can;t people praise God in all things?

You just heard from a sister who said she has and does, and you are telling her not to tell you about it?
I asked if she still has cancer. I know she doesn't. No one will, praise God for cancer as it kills. Stunned that makes no sense.

Read what Jesus says in each instance of healing He did. Still does as a matter of fact. :)

I just got through stating that I cannot and will not answer for anyone else.

But, there's videos of a well know ministers wife that was paralyzed in her legs from an accident and was in a w/c for many years, get up and walk at the Bay of Spirit Revival on the 'net.

Why her? She testified she was tired of being picked up and plopped back in the chair. Was angry she was there. Till Nathan (forget last name) from the UK, the revivalist prayed for her. It's easy to find.

Did Tada actually hear God say no? I don't remember that.
I did not ask about other examples. I know there are examples of healing, I have never denied this. So why do you keep bringing it up?

Was she healed? Does she still praise God? Is she still a paraplegic decades aftetr she told her friends God would heal her?

If that is not saying No, My grace is sufficient, I do not know what is.

It is because of a lack of trust that they can't. They can't quite believe that He really DOES work all things we encounter to our good. Which makes the whole thread doubly odd when you think about it.

Thats suffering for Him. Not diseases. I don't deny this could happen. And I have. Haven't you?

Nuh uh...you are putting your thoughts in our words. That like me telling you oh little faith stunned....you might accuse yourself. I don't.

I Did not say God does not heal today. I have seen him heal so why would I deny it?

I asked why God is not healing this elder lady in our church of her heart disease. Do you have an answer sis?

I've said this before but it could be applicable. Just because a person has the faith to walk on water doesn't mean God has called them to stand above the waves. God is sovereign. She very well may have the faith to be healed but it is her time. Right?

I also must point out, heart disease is directly correlated to what we consume so is this lady taking any measures to address what caused her sickness in the first place? In fact, people have even reversed heart disease through healthy eating. She may be asking God for a miracle and no doubt He is faithful, but have we considered that just maybe He has already provided the means to healing and that is through her fork?

What’s the difference sis? I see no difference? If Stephens mortal flesh was healed. No stone could hurt him.

She has many health issues. She has a lot of pain at times. She has not been healed of them all. And she praises and thanks Him anyway. I know it doesn't make sense to you but that's because you think: physical suffering, bad. Physical comfort, good. But some people have come to see that their every circumstance is bread from Him. But its because they have actually lived the verse of Him working all things for the good of our eternity with Him.

Either god heals all as I have been told by three people these past few days. Or he does not.

WHich is it? The lady is only in her 60’s, the heart disaease is hereditary, part of the curse.

That could happen too. :) Paul got up from a garbage heap after being stoned and left for dead didn't he?

I am confused sis.

The discussion is does god heal all or not?

You bringing up one who God healed does not negate the FACT that there are some people who are not healed Which means God does not heal all. No matter how great their faith is.

Yes he did!! Because God said it was not his time, and he intervened, As he did when he was shipwrecked, and other areas, where as he did not intervene in Stephens death.

Which I believe is th point we have been trying to make

In my case, I didn't need pain meds, or chemo or any of that. So yes, 8 years later, I'm still thanking God for giving me cancer... :)

I know it's hard for you to believe that people give thanks for their illnesses, but it's true..

I have yet...syringomyelia. I can tell you bad...not good. I am,pressing forward in hope....and have already had progress and been touched. Each touch brings more faith.

As long as Meds keep one comfortable, I know for a fact...faith can become stagnant. As far as healing that is.

Thank you, Bill... :)

Truly precious to hear that sister.
You praise God in the circumstance you found yourself in.

You have obviously come to understand

Romans 8:28-29

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

As children of God, we do not always know what to pray for or how best to pray (v. 26), but we can know the purpose of God which the Holy Spirit desires to accomplish. work together for good: The primary reference of all things is the “sufferings of this present time” (v. 18). All circumstances will work together in cooperation for the believer’s good—that is, the believer will be conformed to Jesus Christ now and reign with Him later. (NKJV study notes)

Alas people tend to focus on v28 and neglect v29.

Is is often said "God makes all things good" based on v28.
God did not promise that whilst we are here on earth.
But whilst here on earth that God works good in all things for those who love him in order to conform us to the image of Jesus.

There is one thing God had promised for those in him

Revelation 21:3-4
3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Thank you Jesus for your promise in Revelation.
I ask for all of us here that whilst we suffer here on earth we will trust in you, that we know your purpose and that you will use us to show Jesus in our lives.
We know that one day our lives will be perfect and we will be with you forever.
Thank you for that promise.

Luv ya BLB, thanks for your inspiration.

Your brother in Jesus.

Sorry to hear that. But He works ALL things to your eternal good, even suffering. Not saying suffering is pleasant. But He works it to our good. That's a promise from Him.
