How do you Christians choose to believe in God without the concept of hell altering your decision making.

If it is a factor when deciding where to put your faith, doesn't this mean your only choosing God to save your own neck's.

If not, how?
God’s word tells us the world is made of things unseen, which describes the atom and it’s subatomic components. The interesting thing about the atom is that it’s nucleus is composed of like-charged particles, and orbiting that are another set of like-charged particles. The laws of science dictate that like charged particles repel each other, indicating the whole dang thing should just naturally come apart.

But God says that all things are held together by Him( Hebrews 11:3; Col. 1:16).

The Lord spoke this creation into existence, putting it together by His very Word (note the similarity of word/world). We are told that at the end of its existence
the elements will melt with fervent heat (2 Peter 3:7, 10, 12). Consider what happens when an atom is split - it creates intense heat and fire as the element is ripped out of existence.

The lake of fire (which most equate to as being hell) only appears after this creation is de-created. Could it be possible that when God speaks it out of existence, the resulting nuclear meltdown of all the created matter that now exists as our earth and heavens will create the lake of fire? Would it seem fitting that those who love this world more than Him, would be given it in its natural state apart from Him?

John12:25 - Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

I believe that in the end, God allows those who love this world to keep it in it's natural state, while He creates a new heaven and earth for those who love Him more.

Hi IFF: You pose an interesting question, if God created a world that is so evil that it is destroying itself(and it is), and God usually does not step in and help anyone, how is He so lovable? My answer is not necessarily all that good, I think things are the way they are because it could not be any other way. Most Christians who are speaking of the love of God are speaking of the actual love that God pours into them through the Holy Spirit. I have experienced a lot of the love of God in my life, it is much more then reading in the bible that God loves you. I know things look terrible, and they are, however God settled the question about His love for man when God became a man and died so that we could live in a better place with Him.

I'm talking about how our decision making can be effected by such concepts as hell. You are talking about something else, but those points you raised above are diffrent in their consequences.
At the end of the day there is only one decision to be made when considering hell.....to trust Christ or not....after acknowledging Christ by faith in salvation one has no concern of hell......we are eternally sealed in Christ by his shed blood, the sealing of the Holy Spirit, the justification by his applied blood and imputed righteousness, sanctification (positionally) in Christ and the promise to finish what he started and never leave nor forsake us.....

I will add a possible second thought pertaining to hell.....the thought of anyone I know or meet ending up there motivates me to witness to everyone I get a chance to witness to........

I don't think that analogy is right, first of all a mountain volcano doesn't erupted to punish you (It just is) Secondly if someone was to warn you of your impending doom, should they beat you up if you don't leave with them immediately?
Well when i give people warning of Gods judgement i never beat them up if they choose to disbelieve my warning.. I do not believe that anyone should be forced to believe anything.. Indeed it is impossible to make another human being believe anything they do not believe.. Belief is a personal response of an individual to information received..

But God is like that volcano.. He is and He is perfect and in the end of Days He is going to judge His creation and remove those who are unacceptable to Him and Redeem those who are acceptable to Him.. So the lake of fire is like that soon to erupt Volcano.. It's going to happen no matter if a person likes it or not.. The warning has been given and people have time to respond to the information they have received on the issue to either believe the Preacher / Geologist or reject the warnings that have been given..

Here is the strange thing, Christians say God is saving them from sin. But no, God is saving them from his wrath against sin.

So, you know what I mean.
Yes i agree with you Mr Moo .. God is saving us from the judgement that is hanging over humans because of our unrepentant sin...

Now all that is left is for people to aknowledge Gods will in regard to what is and what is not sin and accept the gift of forgivness Jesus secured for them by His atoning work on the Cross..

So, that whole thing about Jesus shedding His blood in order to pay the penalties for your sins, which without would send you straight to condemning judgment and the lake of fire, has no bearing on you faith?
This demonstrated the awesome LOVE of God for humanity that He would come down to earth in human flesh form and suffer a horendous death to pay the penalty for my sins and save me from the eternal lake of fire... So no bearing on me???? Are you kidding???? No greater love can one have for another then to lay down their life to save the other.. Sound familiar Ahwatukutee ??

The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom
Ahwatukee, Ahwatukee, Ahwatukee read the following Word of God and reach the final state of faith..

1 John 4: KJV
18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. {19} We love him, because he first loved us."

So the scriptures are true fear of God is the beggining of wisdom.. But it is only the Beggining it is not the end so many people are trapped in this fear stage and they have not fully come to the knowledge of salvation.. Knowledge that when believed and embraced removes all fear... Do not remain in fear people..

Well hell does glue people, until they disprove the concept and unglue themselves.

It's only belief those people are combating, not proven concepts.
How can anyone disprove the eternal lake of fire Mr Moo ???? No one can prove it or disprove it.. Same with God.. No human being can prove the existence of God to another and no one can disprove the existence of God.. If people could do either then everyone would either be Religious or Atheists..

But of course God Himself can prove He exists when ever and to whomsoever he wills.. God gives his message to humanity and those who are drawn to the Truth and Love of His message He will cause to be welded to Him forever.. Those who reject the Love of His truth and reject His loving gift of salvation will not have it....

Why would it be worse for people who never want to be with the God of the Jews?
Because once they are resurrected for the final judgement they will have the level of wisdom they never had as human beings on earth to know God even better then Christians know God now.. Then they will fall to there knees and worship Him not be force but because they will understand just how awesome in truth and love and all the other attributes of God are... Then they shall deeply regret their rejection of His love and truth when they lived their lives on earth.... So the short answer is it will be worse because knowledge will cause them to wish they could remain with the God of the Jews forever and ever.....
