I hope that people can see a difference between accepting wrong behavior and recognizing wrong behavior but refraining from putting the offenders under law while attempting to lead them to Jesus.

I think that our most important consideration must be that our response must not compromise the central doctrine of Salvation by Grace.

Our response to those who are saved can center on not compromising our testimony; but our response to the world must focus on their need for Christ and NOT on their behavior.

Our witness to the world should be that God will accept them as they are; but will not leave them as they are.

As a result of accepting Jesus as Lord we must expect our desires to more and more resemble His.

Just as one can NOT expect adult behavior from a baby; it is NOT realistic to expect Christian behavior from the world; and any attempt to force it on them will only compromise our witness.

In short: Get used to it; or don't go out without your wife or (if unmarried) your sweetheart.
You are spot on here.

This world is an anesthetic to a lost and dying man. An anesthetic to deaden the pain of an empty heart and Life.

The serious matter is the man and his empty heart and life.

Christianity today, for the most part, think the serious matter is the anesthetic. They are trying to clean up the world and forget that we were never called to clean up this evil, twisted place. We are to bring the light(Christ) into their darkness.

Amen to that!

Surprise, surprise. I'm with Nysut on this one.

Any evil (or sin) is in the eye of the beholder.
There is nothing intrinsically evil or sinful in or on the human body - created or evolved.
It's a body.
And I reckon if enough people dressed purely for the conditions - warm in winter, precious little in a tropical summer -
that is just plain common sense
and after a while, nobody would notice.

There was a time when just to sneak a peek at a woman's ankle was naughty.
No doubt there are some who wish that it was still so - and that is as silly as the darned burkas.

Reproving the world of sin by the words of God is not the same as trying to put one "under the law", or being justified by the works of the law.

God's Word is Light, and exposes the darkness of sin.
John 15:22 "If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin."

By Gods law and Word comes the knowledge of sin.

Truth according to who?

I think you'll soon find yourself banned. You lied about being a Christian and now are being obnoxious with other posters. Was it that hard to be honest? Really?

are you making assumptions?

isnt that the christain way.......
Nope,just taking you at your word. I dont need to make assumptions. You said there are people who dont know Jesus in your country.I said "shouldnt someone tell them". You said "no one should tell them anything,they're fine the way they are" So I took it from the horses mouth so to speak. BTW the Christian way is to witness to people who dont know Christ.

Jn 16:7-12

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
KJV

Reproving the World of sin is the Holy Spirit's role!

2 Ti 4:1-3
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
KJV

Reproving the brethren of sin is our role!

Let me turn this question around a bit - had Adam and Eve not eaten from the tree, would we all still be running around naked today?

Reproving the brethren of sin is our role!
The world has not the Holy Spirit, nor do they know Him, neither can they receive Him. Therefore men of God who have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them are needed to speak the words of God and call all men to repentance.

John 14:17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Acts 17:30
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Romans 10:15
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
