Willie that's the underlined portion of the verse.....Is there any reason at all that you cannot do that?
That would mean to constantly, 24 hours a day, do nothing, say nothing, and place your shoes nowhere that God is not presently traveling. Right?

Would God express opinions about the election and our president, or about homosexuals and Tranies, or about the character of the people (both or either side) that were involved in the Battle of Charlottesville?

But, other than a few scattered nuts over the years, I have never heard anyone saying that.
It comes from a deeper study of the scripture Willie.

The ten virgins are all believers. Five of them have oil and five don't. After Jesus presents the parable he then says, "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour." Therefore, the oil represents ready watchfulness. The five foolish virgins didn't have any oil and therefore represent those believers as not being ready and watchful.

"Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, who have departed from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some.

Hymeneus and Philetus in preaching that the resurrection had already taken place, were said to have wandered from the truth. Since the church is still in the process of being built and the Lord has yet to gather his church, then those who are currently teaching the same as Hymeneus and Philetus are guilty of the same, having wandered from the truth.

It's not that difficult to compare the two.

So you believe that some believers/saints/those saved will be left behind?
That all "the church" will NOT be "raptured"?

Do Hymie and Phil live in your town? You act like there are people running around preaching the resurrection already happened.... and I still say I have never met one. And it seems you may not have either.

And, seriously, you guys are sounding very much like there is some sort of perhaps "ritualistic" behavior you feel you need to be engaged in on an ongoing basis, so that Jesus doesn't surprise you just relaxing beside the pool, enjoying a lemonade.

No Willie! It means that whatever you are doing 24 hours a day, you as a believer in the midst of the daily routine of life that you are always meditating on the Lord and his word, anticipating the Lord's return, looking for the blessed hope. And especially now, because we are seeing the stage being set for the revealing of the antichrist/beast with the revealing of this technology for the chip implant under the skin of the hand. It tells those who are looking for the blessed hope, that the gathering of the church is very near and which must take place prior to the revealing of the beast and his mark.

So you live every day not knowing. How sad!
Um no, if you are living for the lord and anticipate his coming there's nothing to worry about. However if you go back into the world and live as if he's coming no time soon he will come & catch you off guard. In which you'd only have yourself to blame

No, but they were two believers who were preaching the same thing that people are teaching today. This puts them under the same banner of being wandered from the truth since the Lord has yet to return and the resurrection has yet to take place.

You're joking, right?! Have you been paying attention to the teachings of Plainword, Valiant, Persuaded and others? All of these are teaching that the Lord has already returned in 70 AD, that end-time events have already taken place, including the resurrection.

You obviously have not been paying attention to what these and others have been posting.

I firmly believe the Spirit of the Lord returned in AD 70, and instigated the demise of the Jewish system of animal sactifice. But, that is NOT the resurrection that is yet to come, when the entire church will join Him.

Stop your lying and false accusations.
I have never said that the Lord returned in 70 AD.
I have always taught the he WILL (future) return at the seventh (last) trump.
You are one self righteous dude!

Well, I do have to admit that I hardly ever read many of the endless and text-wall fanatical "end-times" threads anymore. So, I may have missed them saying that.

Would like to think some here are prepared to stay and be beheaded for their Faith.. would like to think some here will be singing
His praises with me during dark times like never seen before.

Know you not that GOD can keep you safe always.. if GOD be for you nothing can come against you unless it is meant to.

In the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who sent the Messiah to save us we Trust.
