John was Part of the Word of God even when He was not yet born. The old prophets prohecied of a man that will speak in the wilderness.... and He will prepare the way for the Messiah. It is the WORKS and Spirit of God working through John that makes the Israel of today, guilty for still NOT BELIEVING Jesus is the Chrsit. You see the ONLY refernce they CANNOT deny is the fact that John was the voice in the wilderness.

John sent his disciples to enquire about Jesus, so the Disciples of John would know all John preached, was the coming of Jesus. And the moment they chopped John's head off, they had their TRUE MASTER to follow..... Jesus! If you were in John's shoes and you now you are in jail because the man that put you there is leeping with his brother's wife, you would know the evil parties they throw will cost you your life soon.... And you will also know the best way to cater for your loyel disciples is to send them to the MASTER JESUS... and that is what John did.

Both you and I would have done the same if the Spirit of God also told us to do so... It was God takng care of things... THe HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD was OPERATING IN JOHN!

John was just another faultless lamb, not the MESSIAH... he was the HOLY SPIRIT FILLED prophet that will PREPARE for the Messiah... As it was prophecied...

John's sinless state was from God, and so was the CALLING of John in Mal 4.... one that will restore some love so God did not have to come and SMITE the whole earth with a curse...

Let me show you something LT... If the John the Baptist (Elijah) did not come, God would not have BLESSED the world with a MESSIAH, but he would have cursed the world. That would mean NO PERSON WOULD EVER BE SAVED.... WOW!!!!!

The last few verses in the Old Testament....
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
Mal 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

John the Baptist was Elijad God sent to STOP THE CURSE.... So that is another reason he COULD NOT SIN, or he would have brought the CURSE not the preparation of the MESSIAH...

ironically though did Elijah sin ?
