John was not the sacrificial lamb, Jesus was.... There are many one yearold lambs with no defect in a sheep herd, bt only ONE is seected for the sacrifice....
John was just another faultless lamb, not the MESSIAH... he was the HOLY SPIRIT FILLED prophet that will PREPARE for the Messiah... As it was prophecied...
John's sinless state was from God, and so was the CALLING of John in Mal 4.... one that will restore some love so God did not have to come and SMITE the whole earth with a curse...
Let me show you something LT... If the John the Baptist (Elijah) did not come, God would not have BLESSED the world with a MESSIAH, but he would have cursed the world. That would mean NO PERSON WOULD EVER BE SAVED.... WOW!!!!!
Read this and LEARN young man.... Learn God's TRUTH...
The last few verses in the Old Testament....
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
Mal 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
John the Baptist was Elijad God sent to STOP THE CURSE.... So that is another reason he COULD NOT SIN, or he would have brought the CURSE not the preparation of the MESSIAH...

I am sorry but this is a whacked theology adding a bunch of nonsensical stuff and wrangling with words. You have no understanding that in Adam all die - or the 1st Adam - choose sin and disobedience, therefore all have sin, and die - Genesis 5 - the list - they all died. IN Christ, who is the second Adam - all live - It assumes that there are good people in the sight of God - which God is the only one who is Good - the whole rich man calling Jesus good scenario. People have imputed righteousness from God, but can walk blameless(if they are in Christ)
If you are teaching sinless perfection - that is false teaching
I am not giving excuse to sin - because sin is always destructive, it's the reason death is here, it's the reason people go to hell - we should hate sin -especially our own sin.
You and me are born in sin - sin indwells us - Romans 7 - Paul and his struggle
He who says he is without sin is a liar and the truth is not in him - James I believe -
When you fail big time cobus and sin - your are setting yourself up for failure doubly - which is going to cause either depression, denial, or straight up walking away from the faith - if you have 'the faith' I don't know what's totally going on in your head so that's for you to examine
