I don't think Paul's letters are intended to be taken as Doctrine.
Really Dude? Wow. This is classic! UNREAL! :D

Seems when one says something absurd on another thread there's a one-up on yet another, and this takes the cake! WOW!

Paul's magnum opus, Romans? Not doctrine, just some random thoughts and 'pinions. LOL!!!!!!

No wonder our churches have so many problems when people teach the nonsense quoted above.

So let's see... a WOMAN posts a question about a WOMAN who teaches God's word and who makes a point that her ministry is to teach WOMEN, and several MEN shout 1 Timothy 2:12 in response. So, to these "MALEfactors", I offer Titus 2:3

"Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behaviour, no malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, TEACHING what is good"

Y'all need to learn the whole counsel of God on the matter.

Yes, with this context: "...and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled."

Women of the CC forum,

I have to applaud you for your integrity in even acknowledging the men here who, in essence, are saying that they dismiss anything you say on this forum.

Personally, I have found more collective wisdom coming from female voices here than I ever have from the majority of the men.
hahahahahahahaha

glad you caught that

the double standards are so revealing

You're saying she teaches God's Word, but she has already been exposed as a false teacher. So her gender has no bearing on this matter.

Paul only met Jesus briefly on the road to Damascus. It's not like he hung out with Jesus everyday like the disciples did.
Paul met Jesus in a vision like millions of other believers have, but only 12 were personally trained by the living Jesus.
The 12 (11) were pretty much clueless right up to Pentecost,
and even afterwards, were in need of instruction from Paul...

Her teaching is generally quite sound.

Women who have attended her seminars have said that she encourages women to babble as a way to bring on the gift of tongues.

This is second hand NOT direct observation. If true, I think it is very bad practice. That still does not invalidate the general soundness of her teaching.

Actually Joyce pretty much does what John and Lisa Bevere do and puts all her proceeds right back into her ministry. Stop reading the lies and seek truth and it will set you free.
Meyer’s net worth is around $25 million. The website also listed some of the charismatic speaker’s assets and their worth. In 2003, Meyer purchased a jet for a whopping $10 million. Her 2003 home was listed at $2 million. As of 2013, the Meyer family owns five different homes, including a $500,000 lakefront ranch.
Since 2003, Joyce Meyer has received an annual salary of $900,000, and her husband is given $450,000 by their ministry. Their mansion is also covered by ministry funds, as well as the bills that come along with the 10,000-square-foot structure.

Source DEADLINE Premium NEWS

I will also say that I live in Missouri and she has had numerous public battles over her money, taxes, houses, incomes etc. that makes the news or has made the news regularly....

You sure do have a knack for cutting through the debate to the truth of the matter

Love it!!:D

Especially since he was taught by direct revelation, was inspired in 99.95% of what he penned (and made it known when it was just his view based upon biblical principles) and wrote almost half of the N.T.....I agree.....a cake taking statement.....

if people would stand up and show some common sense like Dude just did maybe the churches wouldnt have so many problems. how many oddball doctrines come from Pauls writings? doctrines that cant be found anywhere else in scripture. some people think the words of Paul are not equal to the words of Jesus.

The problem is not understanding Paul's writings that has created odd ball doctrines

You've made the above assessment showing plainly that you do not understand the Gospel, the NT, nor OT Scripture.

It was by design that I did not post this verse. I thought it appropriate, since I was responding directly to people who quoted 1 Tim 2:12 "I suffer not a woman to teach" and were obviously ignoring "or have authority over a man". :)

I don't think Paul's letters are intended to be taken as Doctrine. Paul said "I do not permit a woman to speak... and so on and so forth.. he didn't say anything about God or Jesus.....
Anyway.... Battlefield of the Mind was a pretty good book.
You are absolutely correct there, Dude.
