I had posted yesterday in another thread to vnhongcute, that I could not read his post. I thought it was just me. Apparently, he has not addressed the problem.

Anyone who was around during that time remembers how fanatical Zone and her posse of conspiracy theorists could be. It was painfully obvious that if you did not believe as they did then in their eyes you were not saved at all and if you stood up to them you were in league with their Zionistic one world order and their Jewish Antichrist.

i was here for all of that and i will be the first to agree that this sums up what happened pretty well...

but so far i have not seen any of that being repeated since her ban expired a few days ago...

who knows? anyone can grow...

I do not think it will be. I went to a translation website and most of it is asking for 500,000 of Veitnamese money and giving instructions on how to contact that person.

Could it be that the gifts of the Spirit began to disappear from the public record as persecution of Christianity in general began to rise forcing the early Church to go underground? Keeping this in mind, it just makes sense that the gifts would seldom be spoken of or mentioned in writing.

And you're comfortable calling Zone a conspiracy theorist ??

By the 4th & 5th centuries various doctrinal variants were introduced into the Church via the pre Eastern Orthodox Church as persecution began to die down thus leading some to believe that the Church had entered into a new age resulting in the creation and adoption of Cessationism and Ammillennialism by the Orthodoc & Catholic Churches, both doctrines could be argued to contradict scripture if one were to interpret scripture at face value. Again, it only makes sense to me that the gifts of the Spirit would begin to dwindle as bad doctrine began to be incorporated into the Church.

Yup ... God fell asleep at the wheel. But know He's back ... working all kinds of signs and wonders for whoever seeks them (since the turn of the 20th century ... early 1900's)

In my personal opinion, now that man has both the means of travel and the technology to reach even the most remote places on earth, the gifts of the Holy Spirit are needed now more than ever for the fulfillment of the great commission.

The preaching of the gospel is what saves souls. And God will accomplish what He has started.

“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands” (Rev. 7:9).

Who says God is beholden to incorporated churches?
Were there no believers outside the Roman Catholic church?
Every country had true churches well before the reformation.
God didn't fall asleep at the wheel; He was diving a different vehicle, -(namely His Body).

That would explain Uncle Fester's recent re-appearance. I didn't know that bans were lifted over time.

It would also explain why these old topics are starting to resurface as well.

I agree Rick. God never fell asleep at the wheel. It was sarcasm.

- is it against the rules to discuss bans?
- is this thread, which was made for certain subjects off topic yet?

Reading this thread is funny.
That everyone is an expert.
Because every soul's ways are right in their own eyes; - Proverbs 16:2.
I've seen more judging in this single thread based on perception and not reality than in
any other I've read.
That's as specific as I'll get.
While I'm no expert, as a student of Church history I've noticed that since the Reformation when ever God raises up a person to help put the Church back on track, followers of these people insist on staying the course thus, instead getting back on track, they over shoot the path and find themselves off track yet again but this time on the opposite side of the path from where they started.

A perfect example of such is when various people within the Church pushed so hard against the legalism that crept it's way into the Church during the 1800s it gave birth to the licentiousness and hyper-spirituality of the 1900s.

Why do you insist on distorting ? I have never been banned from any forum .... ever. You are a soul that is hiding something deep in the depths of your heart. I knew it way back then. And I know it now. I can't allow myself to be angry with you.

Peace!
Folks, do you realize how many need the gospel you have?
Let's steer it away from the 'personals', O.K.?

I never said you were banned. I simply said that it explained your reappearance.

BTW - I find it strange that someone who disputes that spiritual gifts are still active today would claim to possess the gift of discernment.

Anyways, now that you guys are back, I see no reason to hang around the forums if all people are going to do is sling insults and make false assumptions in an attempt to draw others into your doctrinal perspectives.

Except that he reanimated a significant amount of time prior to zones reanimation.

Scripture gives a pretty good run down. You should check it out.

I kinda made this thread so this topic wouldn't be leaked into threads that have nothing to do about this topic.
Yet it looks like some are willingly entering this thread, and are getting somewhat upset over said discussion, in said thread, they willingly, of their own volition, without threat or bribe, entered.

To me that seems kinda different.

No one is forced to enter this thread.
This thread exists so the other threads aren't somehow over ridden by those with certain NAR, dispy, obsessions.

So seeing no one is forced to enter this thread, one shouldn't become upset if they enter this thread, and find the topic against their liking.

There is only ONE of this thread.
At least at this point.

Now if someone is taking this topic, and spreading it to other threads, please report it.
But please don't get upset at the presence of ONE thread on this topic.
