We should worship God every day of the week, but only Saturday was sanctified and made Holy.
Please prove from scripture that the Lords day is Sunday.
Mat_12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day. Mar_2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
Luk_6:5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Heb 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. (Notice that Jesus didn't speak of another day)Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. (It remains if you are "the people of God").
Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. (God is the example at creation).
Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (That rest is clearly the Sabbath).
So, so far, you've proven Catholics aren't right. You haven't proven "only Saturday was sanctified and made Holy." And, to be clear, in a debate the side with the negative doesn't have to prove anything. After all, how do you prove nothing, literally?

That means it's on your shoulders to prove "only Saturday was sanctified and made Holy."

Good luck with that.

Sabbatarians have the Christian liberty to observe the Saturday sabbath if they so choose,
but they do not have the liberty to ignore or deride the Lord's Day -- the first day of the week.

The so called early christians changed the meaning of "The Lords Day",
they took the liberty of one verse and twist it to there liking of sunday.

No proof of this change in the bible, just mans rebellion of Gods ways.

will think to change appointed times and laws
Lets start with The Catholic Calendar

One dramatic measure of the Catholic religion’s global influence is its control over the definition
and measurement of time itself. Even today, though the presence of Catholicism doesn’t seem as
ubiquitous as it once was, we continue to live by a calendar largely created by the popes of old:

the Gregorian calendar—named after Pope Gregory xiii. That calendar revolves around fixing
the date of Easter in line with the spring equinox, ensuring that the Catholic’s pagan festivals
fall at the right time relative to Earth’s revolution around the sun.

This calendar is based on the Julian calendar, the Roman calendar established in 45 b.c. by Julius
Caesar. He chose the names and lengths of the months that we still use today (except July and
August, which were renamed after Julius and Augustus). But the Julian calendar was later altered
by the Vatican. God actually prophesied that the Catholic Church would change time itself!

Daniel 7:24-25. Here God is talking about the “little horn,” the Catholic Church.

“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the
most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until
a time and times and the dividing of time.”

What is the Catholic Church’s motive for changing the way mankind measures time?
It is an attempt to destroy—by removing from mankind’s memory—the knowledge
about God’s true holy days and the Sabbath.

the Roman Catholic Church have their own version of the Ten Com.
Is There Idolatry In The Roman Catholic Church?

they deleted the second Commandment and changed God's Sabbath to Sunday
and split the tenth Commandment into two to get back to Ten Commandments
-
The following from the Catholic Encyclopaedia Vol. 4, p. 153 also confirms the deletion
of the second Commandment and the change of the fourth. “The church, after changing
the day of rest from the Jewish Sabbath of the seventh day of the week to the first made
the third commandment refer to Sunday as the day to be kept holy as the Lord's Day.”

-
In 1562 the Archbishop declared that tradition now stood above scripture.

“The authority of the Church is illustrated most clearly by the scriptures, for on one hand
she recommends them, declares them to be divine, and offers them to us to be read, and
on the other hand, the legal precepts in the scriptures taught by the Lord have ceased by
virtue of the same authority.

The Sabbath, the most glorious day in the law, has been changed into the Lord's day.

-
These and other similar matters have not ceased by virtue of Christ's teaching
(for He says that He has come to fulfill the law, not to destroy it), but they have
been changed by the authority of the Church.” — Gaspare de Posso Archbishop
of Reggio, Council of Trent.

-
Ancient Rome’s pagan holidays have been chained on this current world.

These include certain annual holidays—Christmas, New Year’s, Easter,
as well as many more, every one a pagan day—every one used to stimulate
the sale of merchandise in the commercial markets. Any earnest seeker after
truth learns that these days are all of heathen origin and pagan significance.

And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people,
lest you share in
her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

Acts 20:7
7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached
unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
KJV

1 Cor 16:1-2
16 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia,
even so do ye.2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

These two passages of Scripture and historical accounts by Eusebius c300 A.D. and Philo, a secular historian, c 30-60A.D. are sufficient to persuade me that for at least the first 3 centuries the Church generally observed both the Sabbath and the First day of the week; and that neither observance was considered mandatory.

What does “Break Bread” really Mean ? "Eating a meal "

Spiritually, I believe that the term "break bread" refers to Christian fellowship over a meal, both physical and spiritual. If the term simply means eating then there would be no spiritual significance on this one mention in the bible about eating on Sunday nor would it imply that the Sabbath was now changed to Sunday. There is no mention in the bible of the disciples being given the authority to change the days and the times.

The Romans called the sun god “Mithra” and “Apollo,” and they especially worshiped
the sun on “the first day of the week,” also called “Dies Solis” (Latin), which means,
“day of the sun.” The name “Sunday” was adopted “because this day was anciently
dedicated to the sun, or to its worship. The first day of the week.”
Webster’s Dictionary; 1929 edition.

The disciples, “continuing daily with one accord in the temple,
and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness.

The disciples gave thanks to God before eating meals.

Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health?.… And when he had
thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he
had broken it, he began to eat” (Acts 27:33-35).

Here Paul broke bread to give to unconverted sailors who were hungry.

Question. What if you keep the sabbath and worship on Sunday too. Is that wrong?

For all the bluster, I have never seen a coherent SDA argument for why we shouldn't worship on Sunday... only that we supposedly should worship on Saturday. I've never seen a coherent argument from anyone as to why we should worship on only one day of the week.

Does it matter?
Is it a salvation issue?

Here is why it matters Waggles:

Now about Acts 20:7 and 1 Cor. 16:1-2: they have nothing to do with the Sabbath. The Sabbath happens to be a sign of our being God's people. Ezekiel 20:12:
"Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them." The word sign could mean mark.

Sign Strong's H226
אוֹת
'ôth
oth
Probably from H225 (in the sense of appearing); a signal (literally or figuratively), as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence, etc.: - mark, miracle, (en-) sign, token.

But to do it right it should be a day of rest. Going to church on Sunday isn't a restful experience for a lot of people. In some cases it involves work.

Christians have always worshipped on the 1st of the week.

1. Jesus was resurrected on Sunday:
John 20:1 “Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.”

Mark 16:9-10 “When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.”

2. Jesus appeared to the disciples on Sunday:

John 20:19 “On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!"

3. A week later Jesus appears to His disciples again on Sunday.
John 20:26 “A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!"”

4. On Pentecost, the outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit, also happened on Sunday.

Acts 2:1-4 “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.”

Lev 23:15-16 explains that Pentecost happens the day after the 7th Sabbath:

15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:

16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.

1 Corinthians 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Acts 20:7 Upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread (communion),

On the 1st Pentacost Moses gave the Israelites The Law.

On the 1st Pentecost after Jesus resurrection (Sunday). Salvation's eternal SEAL "The Holy Spirit" is given to all that believe!

Christians always worshipped on the 1st day of the week

show us one verse in the N.T. that commands believers in Christ to keep the Sabbath.

We are not to keep the Sabbath in the strict letter of the law. We are under grace. We still honor the Sabbath as we honor all the 10 Commandments; which are referenced throughout the NT. The RCC is the great whore of Babylon: Rev. 17:5: "And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."

This is part of coming out from her my people. Rev. 18:4: "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."

The Protestant Reformation carried most of their Catholic teachings out with them. Even the
Wesleyan Statement of Faith calls the faithful the Universal Catholic Church. Many denominations use that.

So FlyingDove, give us a reference where the Apostles sanctified any of these get togethers. You first point: "1. Jesus was resurrected on Sunday:" It is not true. He was buried at sundown therefore he was resurrected at sundown: see my earlier post. The Apostles cannot appoint another day for it is God that sanctifies. Your last point on when Christians worshipped is not true also.

27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

I am a man, therefore Jesus made His Sabbath Day for me. Why anyone would reject this truth is fascinating.
