I used to get the Jerusalem Post and the had a weekly article concerning this....remember reading about a Red Heifer being bred for sacrifice......interesting concept...in Daniel--->He shall plant his tabernacle between the seas and there he shall come to his end....and 2nd Thessalonians....The man of sin...who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as GOD sitting in the temple of God showing himself that he is God....

The huge problem with this view is the fact that any possible Jewish temple in Jerusalem will not be the temple of God.

Because the old temples, sacrifices, priesthood etc are done. See the letter to Hebrews.

No fool like an old fool

Matt 5:22 New American Standard Bible
"But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, 'You good-for-nothing,' shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.

This kinda proves that "he who slanders" is far more guilty than the one slandered, yes?

And God the Father, who does not desire sacrifice nor take delight in burnt offerings will give His stamp of approval to such during this millennial reign ... as a "memorial" to Jesus Christ our Saviour, who Himself will be in their very presence ? A "memorial" will take place when He being remembered stands amongst them ? And Jesus Christ, who is now our High Priest will relinquish His priestly sacrificial duties to those of the lineage of Zadok (Ezekiel 44:15) ? I can't think of a greater abomination than this. What a disaster ... and sorry mess.
While Revelation states that there will be sacrifices then, it says nothing whether God accepts those sacrifices. It's just not there. Of course He doesn't..... this must come to pass in order for the Antichrist to sacrifice a pig on the altar, creating the abomination of desolation before the Jews' eyes, breaking his treaty with them midway thru the seven years. It simply must come to pass.

Thanks, good post.
I recall seeing the article in the 1970's of a full gospel pastor in Mississippi who was overlooking his ranch one day giving thanks for all G-d had done for him and asked G-d what he could do for Him, he received word that he could raise the red heifer, upon which he began the process of breeding cattle to that goal. On January first 2000, a plane from El Al airlines picked up about 20 cattle from his work and took them to Israel, I believe this was the source of the red heifer they now have, it must be completely red, not one white hair, and it isn't just any color, it must be "the color of the earth", according the program I saw. Clyde Lott was the pastor and rancher.
Blessings

It is one of several theologies held in Christian circles today.

It does not have to come to pass, because there are other views, without such events, that are fully compatible with the Bible.

From the website:

The Oral Tradition and the Tanach Are Equally DivineThe Jewish people depend on the Oral Tradition for the interpretation of the Torah. Indeed, as we have illustrated above, the Bible simply cannot be understood without it. These examples show that the written text could even be perceived as being defective unless it is supplemented by the information contained in the Oral Tradition. This is why believing in the Divine source of the Oral Tradition is so important for the Jewish people... for if it is denied that this tradition is God-given, this can lead to the denial of the Divine origins of the written text as well. Thus, if one does not believe in the Oral Tradition, he is regarded as one who does not accept any aspect of the Torah.
Are these people seeking God? The Tanach is DIVINE.... where does the bible say that? I hope people will check out this website and see just how MISLEAD these people are.

So what are we to believe about these Jews who DON'T know God, and DON'T know anything about the Old Testament? They follow the Talmud and practice kabbalah which is direct REBELLION against God... are we supposed to believe that God is using these God haters to build HIM a temple? I don't understand this line of thought... wouldn't it blaspheme the blood of Christ and make a mockery of Gd if the Jews started sacrifices animals?

For those of you who have doubts about whether or not Israel is going to build their temple, I would suggest a visit to The Temple Institute website and which is physically located in Jerusalem. On this site you will find that the Sanhedrin has been reassembled for some years now, the priestly garments have been prepared according to the specifications written in the law, the ephod with the twelve stones, all of the furniture and articles of the temple, the table of the show bread, the oil lamps, trumpets, etc., etc., have all been prepared for the coming third temple.

The last seven years of the seventy sevens that was decreed upon Israel is going to be fulfilled and Israel's preparation is physical proof of this. Visit the site at https://www.templeinstitute.org/
Matthew 23
Seven Woes on the Teachers of the Law and the Pharisees

13“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. [14]b

15“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.

16“Woe to you, blind guides! You say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gold of the temple is bound by that oath.’ 17You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? 18You also say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gift on the altar is bound by that oath.’ 19You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred? 20Therefore, anyone who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. 21And anyone who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it. 22And anyone who swears by heaven swears by God’s throne and by the one who sits on it.

23“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. 24You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.

25“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.

27“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. 28In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

29“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. 30And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ 31So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. 32Go ahead, then, and complete what your ancestors started!

33“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? 34Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. 35And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36Truly I tell you, all this will come on this generation.

37“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 38Look, your house is left to you desolate. 39For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’c ”

In the Name of the Lord, Eternal God

To The Honorable Mr. George W. Bush,
President of the United States of America,

Who comes seeking the presence of the Most High God, to Jerusalem, city of God, Divinely chosen site of the Holy Temple, eternal capital of our land, "the joy of the entire earth (Psalms 48:3)," may it be rebuilt and established speedily and in our days, Amen!

Esteemed Mr. George W. Bush, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal (Ezekiel 38:1), leader of the west!

Upon your arrival in Jerusalem you have the ability to make a declaration, as did Cyrus, King of Persia - whose memory is honored - who in the year 538 BCE returned the exiled nations to their lands and recognized the full right of the Jewish people to reestablish their Holy Temple, the "house of prayer for all nations" (Isaiah 56:7), and called upon them to return to their land,

And in the manner of Lord James Balfour of England, who in 1917, called upon the Jews to reestablish a national homeland in the Land of Israel.

And thus if you truly desire peace and benevolence, and you would be counted in the company of the truly righteous, we call upon you to declare to all the world:

The Land of Israel was bequeathed to the nation of Israel by the Creator of the world. Neither could I, as a son of my faith, nor the Muslims according to their faith, ever take away even the slightest grain from the Eternal's gift, which He gave to His people Israel, the eternal people. Thus I call upon all the nations to save themselves from certain doom, to return and recognize That this land is the exclusive rightful inheritance of the people of Israel, as is written in the Torah of Israel, which constitutes the very foundation of our faith, as well as that of Islam; and is the basis for the decisions of the community of nations. He who denies this truth endangers all life on earth.

I shall dedicate all my strength and resources towards settling the Jewish people throughout their entire land. I shall greatly encourage and empower the Jews all over the world to rise up to the Land of Israel and to settle it, to establish God's sanctuary in Jerusalem, to distance strangers from it and thus, I believe, I will be making a major contribution towards world peace.

I cannot simultaneously support the establishment of a foreign state for an alien nation in the Land of Israel, and I will not lend my hand to this wrong.

Or - Heaven forbid - you can choose the second option - to willfully aid in the destruction, under the guise of peace!

You certainly know what the God of Israel did to Egypt and Assyria and to all Israel's enemies from time immemorial: Do you imagine that you will be able to save yourself if you have come to implement a plan that intends to steal the land of "the people that survived the sword" (Jeremiah 31:1), and to cut off those who survived the Holocaust, to rob the land that was given to them by the Creator?

All of the peace treaties and initiatives which have been based upon the decisions of the government of Israel, indeed the entire Oslo process, and the 'Disengagement,' and the establishment of a terrorist state within the Land of Israel known as 'Palestine' - regrettably, all of these agreements are the result of a lack of sufficient faith in the Divine promises that the Lord made to the patriarchs of our nation, and all that is written in the Torah of Israel. Understand this well: the nations of the world cannot excuse their actions and their decisions on account of the weakness of Israel and her government. God ordained that the role of the nations of the world is to strengthen the nation of Israel. This will benefit all humanity and bring about world peace, as the prophets have foretold.

Do you imagine you can escape from the struggles in Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, and Lebanon, by offering up sacrifices of the Jews who are slaughtered daily by their enemies who speak of peace but live by the sword?

Upon your arrival in our land we would anticipate that you bring Jonathan Pollard home with you. Bring him home to Israel. He is an emissary of the State of Israel, and he acted on behalf of our people. Authorize his immediate release while you are yet in Jerusalem, before you return to the United States. This will be a positive step that will build confidence.

Remember our forefather Abraham, who pursued the world's four greatest kings in order to redeem his nephew from captivity. We cannot forget the deeds of our patriarchs, whose example guides us through every generation.

We are the loyal representatives of the Jewish people, the New Jewish Congress, and its court of law, the Sanhedrin, as well as the Temple and Temple Mount movements, but we merely reiterate herein what is public knowledge.

No government in Israel and no representative of the Jewish people has the power or right to alter, by even the slightest degree, our covenant with God and the words of our holy Torah, which are everlasting, as expressed by the prophets of Israel and even by the wicked prophet Balaam: "Then he looked on Amalek, and uttered his oracle, saying: 'First among the nations was Amalek, but its end is to perish for ever' (Numbers 24:20). Thus any desire, plan or agreement that challenges the eternal sovereignty and active possession of the nation of Israel over her entire land is utterly worthless, and has no basis in reality.

Therefore it behooves you to declare: "I, George Bush, Commander in Chief of the armies of the United States of America, will instruct all of my troops to protect the Divine rights of the nation of Israel, and remove from her any threat."

Before you is a choice: You can merit to eternal life, or be inscribed for eternal disgrace. Your fate and that of all those with you hangs in the balance of the destiny of our land.

"and you shall choose life!" (Deut. 30:19).

In Sincere Supplication - In the name of the Jewish people

There's gonna be a temple built, & sacrifices made there.

However, no one can say nor should say that this temple is acceptable to God, nor that God accepts these sacrifices over the Sacrifice of Jesus of the New Covenant as if it's a separate thing just for Jews.

Scripture says these things will be in place & happening, & that's all it says. We need to quit "implying" that God accepts any of these things, because He doesn't. They're only gonna be there for His plan to be fulfilled, nothing more.

Yes, it will be there for His will to be fulfilled..... but we have no right to "see" or "imply" true worship in it.

There are a group of people on this site who will bite your head off for such an anti-judaistic theology Ahwatukee

Woe, uh, woe, uh, what??

Maybe I have not followed enough of these Israel, Jew, prophecy threads, yet? Are they all this severe so quickly?

I have friends that I agree with drastically on eschatology, but we don't call one another "anti-Jewish" or bite each other's heads off!

Really, God has done his good work. The Houses of Israel and Judah have been reconciled by Christ.

The problem is that the Jews have put themselves under the Law.

The New Covenant is crystal clear that the Old Covenant Law that the sins of the Father can be visited on the son is no longer in force.

Jeremiah 31

29 In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge.
30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.

There is no way one can impose the 70th week now. The 70 week has gone, and with it the Old Covenant. God has no ancestral beef any more.

He simply asks The Church (Israel proper) to extend mercy to the non-believing Judaistic element.
That is your view and you express it clearly. I am fine with that.

My view is that the seventieth week of Daniel is yet in the future, and in the end it will become a real blessing to the believing Jewish people and to all Gentile believers also.

Call me a heretic, a Jew-hater, and bite my head off if you wish! :) I won't call you a heretic, a Jew-hater, or bite your head off! I respect your view and realize your view has very legitimate biblical and historical support. I think my view has more validity, but I am open to hear and discuss and learn.

If no one can say that this temple will be of God, how is it possible to say that Paul meant this temple when he was saying "the temple of God"?

Scripture says these things will be in place & happening, & that's all it says.
I would say one specific theology says these things will happen. Scripture can be viewed in several different ways.

Again, Paul said "the temple of God".

If the possible temple in Israel is not acceptable to God, how can it be the same thing?

4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.

Intellectual Property Law

The House of the Lord, the Temple, is constructed to the exact design given by God. God was the Architect, therefore it is 'his' house.

In this meaning also every mosque is "his" house.

But I do not think it matches the use of Paul when he says "the temple of God".
