I'm new to the site and new to Christ, well I fell away for church praying even from God but I came back. My question is... will we who believe in Christ go through the tribulation? And if so, how are we to survive it? It's just sounds so scary the things to come... ,concerned about my tiny babies.

Sorry if it's an annoying question just want to help others around me

Welcome to CC!

The question is not annoying however it is one of the topics that Christians seem to disagree on the most. Since I know that when I leave this flesh behind I get to be with Jesus forever the means by which I die in this life do not concern me as much as they once did. Raptured, heart attack, hit by a bus, doesn't really matter to me. I do believe that when I am able to treat others as if Jesus was returning in 15 minutes I am then able to reflect His love more fully.

Israel is disobedient toward God. God told them to be faithful and they would be blessed. When they are not faithful but become apostate they are judged of God. They are carried away into captivity and made to suffer persecution. They rejected Christ and are blinded to their Messiah until the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

They will repent and receive Christ at the end of the age. They will look upon Him whom they have pierced and weep.

God will fulfill His promises to Israel but He must chastise them before they will return to Him.

Oh ok. I do understand now. Thank you for explaining

About getting understanding: The more we let go of what we think we know, the more we keep learning."
Lean not on your understanding, but trust in the Lord."
"Through much trouble we enter the kingdom of God."
"It shall come the pass in the day the Lord shall give you rest from your sorrow and your fears and the hard bondage wherein you were made to serve."

Entering into rest is as we learn of Him, to seek Him first.
The answers your question, having rest from sorrow and fear and hard bondage.
We have rest in God when we have learned not to take things in our hands again, that may take years.
"Count it all Joy, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
We can't avoid suffering, "Having fellowship in the sufferings of Christ," or sufferings in vain.
There is no need to share my view of the end time because it keeps changing like climbing a mountain and having a different view al the way. You would be hearing different views as well as different dialects saying the same thing differently.
From your question you know its happening in your lifetime. 34 years ago, the Lord told me: Behold I am with you in a time of trouble such as never was and shall never be again. There are many confirmations that we are on the verge of trouble, some see and some don't, but that in itself doesn't determine who is walking in Love.
The answer, to be in the will of God, my favorite verse.
"Count it all Joy, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

God Bless you. Thank you very much

Can you identify the specific "tribulation" you are presently experiencing.... and maybe list these incidents?

eschatological views vary, so i'm going to talk to you, one mom to another.

while my children were growing up, we attended a church that taught the futurist doctrine, and yes, i was terrified for them. well, silly me, nothing terrifying happened. all that worry wasted. lol

the things about which i worried never came to pass, and the things that happened i never saw coming. Jesus told His people again and again not to be fearful, but to believe in Him. is this easy? it is not. we need grace from God every moment of every day, and He will provide it.

you may safely trust God, little mommy. He will see to it you have everything you need, at just the right times.
He is the faithful One. :)

Hey I want you to know I was in a department store on the 24th and could not find a clerk to aid my wife in the selection of a pair of boots. Three stores were shopped until she found an acceptable pair. Tribulation is indeed great in this age.

Don't even ask me about the tribulation of the grocery store. Parking spaces were at a premium and the other drivers were not at all considerate of my need to get into the store.

Reads just like Revelation with all that wormwood and scorpions with deadly stingers in their tails stuff. Stars falling from the heavens and empty store shelves at Christmas just how much can I endure?

Babylon has fallen and the blood is deep as the bridle of the horse in the valley of Armageddon. Now we must face the terrible after Christmas sales and return of the multitude of gifts. Is there no end of this tribulation?

So much stuff where shall we turn for redemption?

An important thing to remember about the end times.

The first period identified by Jesus is called birth-pangs. These include a series of troubling events prior to the start of the tribulation period, including false messiahs, wars, rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes (Matthew 24:4-8, Revelation 6:1-8). Scriptures do not identify the length of time for this period, but I believe it has already started.

Jesus called the next period the tribulation. During this time great numbers of believers are persecuted, hated, and killed by the antichrist world government. More false messiahs arise. Many believers fall away from the faith and lawlessness increases (Matthew 24:9-14, Revelation 6:9-11).

Jesus described the third period as the great tribulation. He identified it by saying, “immediately after the tribulation of those days” (Matthew 24:29) and “then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will” (Matthew 24:21).

This period is also called the day of the Lord. It begins with very ominous events unlike anything that has ever happened before, including a great shaking of heaven and earth, the sun is darkened, the moon does not give its light, the stars fall from the sky, the powers of the heavens are shaken, there are earthquakes, every mountain and island is removed from its place, and the sky is rolled up like a scroll (Matthew 24:21-31, Revelation 6:12-17). It then continues with the rapture of believers and the outpouring of the wrath of God.

The Great Tribulation is yet to come.

How can I make sure I'm not part of the falling away?

Bought a radio-frequency toy car for Christmas from Five-Below, and the one and only 9V battery we had in the house only let it run for 1 minute.

Ohhhh, the tribulation. Oh, the suffering!

The Great Tribulation is yet to come.
The birth pangs happened when Jesus returned from the dead. Tribulation for those who followed him started immediately, and got worse starting 30 years later. Become a Christian in Judea, you immediately lose your family, friends, and livelihood. In 70 AD Nero went for blood. Blood of that new cult called "Christians." And misery for the Jews who were stupid enough to think a Messiah was coming. Someone to replace him. They calmed down finally in the 3rd century.

The blotted out sun? Yup. That's what happened when they burned down Jerusalem. Couldn't see the sun for three days. Hardly could see it for some time afterward. The rivers of blood? The streets of Jerusalem. Ankle deep with blood while soldiers killed the inhabitants. Literally -- ankle deep in the gutters of Jerusalem. Bodies filled the outer court of the temple four feet high. Check out how big those outer courts were, because you haven't seen pictures of a mass burial from any war since with that many bodies. 100,000 Christians per DAY were being killed for the first four months of the decree. After that they killed any they could find. Alexandria actually got what they wanted. They wiped out every single Christian. Elsewhere the Christians hid in caves and catacombs. Hid there until Constantine made being a Christian the choice of his empire.

Why does that NOT count in your eyes?
