I've read it and commented on it before but, here we go again...

Gen 9:3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

NASB says...

"Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant.

So He gave everything moving just like He gave the green plants. Let me ask something, how about a big serving of hemlock? Or perhaps some cherry leaves?

Those are green plants and He gave meats just as He gave the green plants. Some plants are not to be eaten just as some meats are not to be eaten. It shouldn't be too hard to understand that.

Prior to this, there were clean and unclean animals (Gen 7:2), what happened here? Did God serendipitously change His mind? Does He do that every now and again just to keep people on their toes? Or are the same animals clean and unclean as they were then and will they be the same in the future?

In the mean time, would you eat some castor beans? After all, "as I gave the green plant".
I'm not following you here, john... if God commands not to eat pork, that would be the reason not to eat, wouldn't it? The healthiness of a food would be a different thing... something to discuss on a health food forum... ?

You are free to eat any green plant you choose.

Health is not mentioned, and none are prohibited.

The same goes for everything that lives and moves.

Health is not mentioned, and none are prohibited.

Nor is health mentioned in the food laws, and there is nothing unhealthy about a rabbit.

There clean and unclean animals on the ark were about sacrifices, not about eating.

And now with no sacrifices and no food laws, all food is clean (Ro 14:14) as it was in Ge 9:3.

i think poison oak and poison ivy are plants..... and they are green.

also, you obviously didn't learn about what God and the men of God in the OT considered food and what they didn't consider food.

Cashew nuts belong to the same botanical family and contain the same toxins. Roasting makes them all edible.

We are not told that all parts of all green plants are edible; but at least one part of every green plant is edible or can be made edible by proper preparation. Certainly not all are palatable. Peach pits contain cyanide.

I had some doubt earlier but you have confirmed that you are mishandling scripture intentionally...

What did I do? I just quoted a scripture and ask a simple question....

1Ti 4:1 ¶ Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

Is a pig a creature of God?

I agree 100% that's why I keep all the Holy Feasts of God (Yah) the Sabbath Dietary Laws and I don't do any Holidays which I know to be traditions of men.

I think God never changes and he's not talking about the creatures that are unclean. I think you can get in a lot of trouble assuming.

Have you read the New Testament?
2Co 3:13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

Look behind me this is all truth. Ever time the Bible reads meat it doesn't mean actual meat and when it does mean meat it's never talking about swine,pig or unclean animals period... Lol the heathens eat these things!!!!
If you made a car and it would only take 10 w 30 oil that's what's best for it. God did this for his people and he showed us what's best for us. If you choose to live like Heathens then so be it that's your choice kill and eat.

I had bacon today and was well withing my God given right to eat it......The N.T. makes it clear that what I did was within the acceptable perimeter set by the word of God....if it is sanctified by prayer and obviously not toxic it can be eaten....I wonder how many who hold to the LAW eat food that has something in it that is contrary to their own stance.....I wonder if they give exactly 10 percent of their garden to a priest and or sacrifice once a year or..................!

Your saying that pig or anything else is not food does not make it so! If you want credibility give Scriptural foundation to your statement, as I did to my counterclaim.
