I've read it and commented on it before but, here we go again...
Gen 9:3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
NASB says...
"Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant.
So He gave everything moving just like He gave the green plants. Let me ask something, how about a big serving of hemlock? Or perhaps some cherry leaves?
Those are green plants and He gave meats just as He gave the green plants. Some plants are not to be eaten just as some meats are not to be eaten. It shouldn't be too hard to understand that.
Prior to this, there were clean and unclean animals (Gen 7:2), what happened here? Did God serendipitously change His mind? Does He do that every now and again just to keep people on their toes? Or are the same animals clean and unclean as they were then and will they be the same in the future?
In the mean time, would you eat some castor beans? After all, "as I gave the green plant".
