It is through grace that we are saved, but the Lord expects us to learn from our mistakes.
I don't remember a scripture speaking of our mistakes but lots of scripture speaks of obedience.

That's what happens when you read everything thru lazy-grace glasses..... total misunderstanding.

Now, when you go back to talking like you have some sense (I've heard it), we will discuss. But not while you're in your fake anti-legalist mode.:)

I was just stating what I heard.

Since I do not hear anyone preaching Gods children do not have to be obedient, how else would I interpret what you say? Other than your claiming it must be done in order to GAIN salvation.

Oh his discipline has to be complete? That's funny, When I disciplined my child. I forgave them BEFORE I disciplined them. Am I somehow more of a father than God.

Jesus forgave us on the cross. As he said, Forgive them, they know not what they do.

Excusing our mistakes, Saying it is ok to sin, because they are just mistakes, Repent and move on..

Instead of taking ownership of our sin, and giving it to God and moving on.
When the Lord disciplines me, he doesn't tell me what he is thinking. He just disciplines me, and I am the better off for it.

Can you give us an example of the Lords discipline of you?

Then there should be no problem coming up with at least one specific example to share with us, right?
When this was all new to me, the Lord would take away my honor for a period of time after I sinned. Even to this day, I know that if I sin, a cloud will hang over me for a certain period of time.

What honor?

Work "out" your salvation (ongoing sanctification) not work "for" your salvation (salvation by works).

We all seem to be in agreement that we need Jesus to save us from our sin, so what is Paul talking about here?

[12] Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
[13] for God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Phil 2:12-13 RSV
keep the faith...
