Wouldn't it be exciting if all Christian brothers could relate about their differences the way Michael Brown and Pastor Prince did? They agree on the truths of Scripture as they sat down and discussed matters seeking to understand each other. I sure wish it was like that here on CC.

Until it is, we have to contend for the faith in Christ Jesus regardless of the enemy wanting to have our differences draw us apart., we can learn from one another and have our differences teach us something beneficial. No one person has it all 100% right and totally figured out...not on this side of heaven.

Knowing our standing is wrapped up in Jesus and not on our own goodness or abilities will cause us to be productive and not stagnant. I'm so thankful God works it this way because I've always been different having tendencies to lonerism.

I've noticed there are many people like this who come to sites like CC for an outlet. While on our way to learning how to live the Christian life we now can have access to tons of information and other Christians without even leaving the house. But it's not God's best for us (far from it)
yet it is where many of us are today.

Unconditional love is something we learn as we grow up and it's not out there in the world unless we know some spirit filled Christians. Having a church with such people of God is a must I've found. And since it's God's will for us to be with other believers we know it's God's will in every case to strive to overcome lonership tenancies.

But we can also be of 'good cheer' since we are not condemned where we are now on the way to where we are going. Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. [SUP]2 [/SUP]For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

Jesus takes us where we are as believers and teaches us by the washing of the Word and the Holy Spirit's ministry to us.

Below is an excerpt about unconditional love from God and what it will do to help us overcome our human weaknesses in this and other areas. We each have them. Moving forward means knowing we are not alone and that the Holy Spirit is right inside us causing us to do and to will of God's good pleasure as we believe Him for it. Causing situations to come into play that will enable us to have choices as we make each step into His will for our lives. This makes for a very exciting and joyful life because the possibilities are endless because all things are possible with Jesus. He can take a prayer for a job and give us a career. His ways are higher than our ways. His ways are better than we can imagine or even dare to hope for.

Over the last 10yrs I've learned not to be afraid of the "terror by night" or the "arrow that flies by day" because of learning about the love of God in Christ. There are many things to keep learning but the key to learning all of them is knowing we are loved in Christ never to be rejected or thrown away. We have the guarantee of Jesus the perfect Savior who did everything right. We have His righteousness on us that when believed..... we can do whatever is set before us. That's the only condition.

Things we never dreamed of doing will happen as that trust and confidence in His love and acceptance grows. I've heard it said that God is righteous in making the sinner righteous in His Son. That is amazing. There is no sin that has been un paid for. There is no sin that goes un dealt with. Jesus took care of all our sin and now we walk it out in our new manner of life in the Spirit.

Many Christians are not aware of this unconditional love in Christ for the Christian life. Many are still working hard to be "worthy" when the worthiness was already purchased for them in Christ. I have a passion for this topic because of being one who learned God loves us in Christ late in life.

We are worthy in Christ to be loved and accepted supernaturally. It's a supernatural happening that is not like human love. The love of God in Christ has no limits and the confidence coming from that allows us to rest in the secret place of the Most High.

And it's a supernatural happening to see Jesus words come to pass in our personal life. John 7:38-39 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'from his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.'
But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Acceptance Elevates Us
When you know God is pleased with you regardless of your productivity, it will free you from the pressure to perform. When you’ve heard God say “Yes” to you, it will empower you to say “No” to the unhealthy demands of Pharaoh’s whip-cracking taskmasters.

If you have been burning the candle at both ends trying to get ahead, a revelation of God’s acceptance will bring you to a place of rest. It will get you off the merry-go-round and sit you down in pastures green.

But that doesn’t mean you will be idle. Those who wait upon the Lord renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31). Paradoxically, those who have been freed from the need to produce are often the most productive people around. This happens because the loving acceptance of another brings out the best in us, particularly if the Other is someone special.

Perhaps you have had the pleasant experience of being accepted by the most beautiful girl in the room or the best man in the house. It is the thrill of being elevated to a higher level. “Really?! You choose me? But you’re way out of my league.” As nice as that is, it pales in comparison to the lift that comes from being accepted by the Maker of heaven and earth. To the glory of his grace you have been lifted out of the miry clay and seated with him in heavenly places. Talk about your upward mobility.

With God on our side like this, how can we lose? (Romans 8:31b, MSG)

When you realize that God is for you, it gives you boldness. You begin to strut, not out of arrogance but confidence. “God is on my side. How can I lose?” You’ll walk into the lion’s den with a holy swagger and face the furnace without fear. “God is with me. I will not be burned” (see Isaiah 43:2).

Situations that intimidate the socks off your coworkers won’t bother you in the slightest. You’ll go in front of performance reviews and interview panels with complete peace and without any desperate need to impress. “My promotion comes from the Lord. If these guys see that, great, if they don’t, that’s their problem.” Secure in your Father’s approval, you won’t be bothered whether your ministry flourishes or founders. “It’s his church anyway. I’m just pleased to play a part.”

But the good news is you won’t fail. How can you? When you are confident of your Father’s absolute delight in you,

You’ll be on your way up!
You’ll be seeing great sights!
You’ll join the high fliers who soar to high heights.

With all respect to Dr. Seuss, this not about the empowerment that comes from self-belief but the divine and uplifting influence of God’s mighty grace.

Sons and daughters who are supercharged by their Father’s favor shine like stars (Philippians 2:15). Elevated by his love they mount up with wings like eagles. They race against horses and walk on the water, living testimonies of the energizing power of his divine acceptance.

What would be exciting is that Joseph Prince would go to seminary and learn some true doctrine. He has no seminary degrees at all.

Thankfully the measuring of worthiness to share the Gospel doesn't require a degree. As far as JP., I don't know the extent of his education. But I do know the Gospel when I hear it. I also listen to Andrew Wommack, Joel Ostein and Joyce Meyers and Creflo Dollar when I get the chance.

All of these preachers preach the Gospel and I'm thankful for Christian broadcasting that goes into homes., prisons and all over the world. They all have a different style but each preaches the Gospel. Do each of them have a degree? I don't know nor care. Have been under the preaching of those with degrees and not all of them preach the Gospel. It's not the degree a person has., it's the Holy Spirit in them that makes them worthy.

stop listening to these tv preachers and start listening to real men of God.
do u think the devil would ever let any true men of God on national tv? of course not. they always let some bozo come in to misrepresent christianity and make us look like idiots.

if u think a guy like osteen who is on oprah's new age tv show is legit that shows u got no discernment whatsoever.

My Meeting With Pastor Joseph Prince

10:30AM EST 1/26/2017 MICHAEL BROWN

Joseph Prince with Dr. Michael Brown (Courtesy)On Friday, Jan. 20, while ministering in Singapore, I had the pleasure of spending two and a half hours with Pastor Joseph Prince, delving into the Scriptures in Hebrew and Greek, discussing the points on which we differed and highlighting the points on which we agreed. Without a doubt, the points on which we agreed far outnumbered and outweighed those on which we differed.
When I wrote the book Hyper-Grace: Exposing the Dangers of the Modern Grace Movement, I reached out to the main authors I quoted in the book, asking them for permission to quote their writings if I went beyond the normal publishing guidelines, also asking them if they would like to reconsider any of their positions.

But I did not reach out to Pastor Prince, wrongly assuming he would not be interested in dialoguing with me based on my experience with some previous leaders who refused to interact. I apologized to him for my failure to do so, and he graciously received that apology.
He also wanted to make clear that he strongly differed with the positions of some of the others I quoted in my book, and what grieved him was not that I misrepresented his position when citing him but rather that he was cited side-by-side with some others whose views he strongly rejected.

Additionally, Pastor Prince felt that I have not accurately represented those who follow his Bible teachings regularly and how this has helped many around the world lead disciplined, holy, victorious and Christ-centered lives. He explained that his ministry office regularly receives testimonies from people who have been set free from the destructive bondage of sin, from those who have been liberated from the shackles of pornography and from those set free from severe drug addictions through his preaching of the gospel of grace.

Although I gladly acknowledged those testimonies and said I also heard similar stories from those who follow his teachings (because of the wonderful truths he delivered) I reiterated that I had also heard opposite stories from those who had become complacent and fleshly (because of what I believed were errors in his teaching).

Pastor Prince maintains clearly that those who have become complacent and fleshly do not understand the gospel of grace, and he would be the first to warn them that they are not living under God's grace and to share with them Romans 6:14: "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under the law but under grace." He believes beyond a shadow of a doubt that people who have an accurate revelation of God's grace have the power to lead holy and victorious Christian lives. For Pastor Prince (and of course, for me as well), grace is not the license to sin; it is the power to break free from the bondage of sin.

Our principal area of disagreement remains his teaching that the moment we are saved, our future sins are already pronounced forgiven (in contrast with the idea that our future sins are paid for but sin is not pronounced forgiven until it is committed and brought to the Lord). But to repeat, our areas of strong and vibrant agreement are much greater than our areas of disagreement, and I want to shout out those areas of agreement to the world.

First, we both agree that it's all about Jesus. He must be central. He must be the focus of our lives. We must draw all people to Him and His atoning work on the cross. Pastor Prince also said that, rather than just say, "Jesus, Jesus" all the time, we should get back to the biblical emphasis: Lord Jesus. And I say Amen to exalting Jesus as Lord.

Second, we both agree that many (if not most) believers often struggle with guilty consciences, failing to realize the depth of God's love for them and failing to understand what Jesus did on their behalf, and so it is essential to ground them in grace. I also shared with Pastor Prince that whenever I teach on the errors of hyper-grace, I begin by extolling God's true grace, seeking first to open us that glorious revelation. And I told him that, at FIRE School of Ministry, in the first semester, we do our best to ground our students in the love of God and in their identity in Jesus.

Third, we both agree that God calls us to holiness, sin is terribly destructive, and true grace will be manifest in a holy life. Prior to our time together, he sent me a compilation of video clips in which he stated plainly that if a man in his congregation claims to be a believer and is living in adultery, he will tell that person plainly he is not living under grace (otherwise sin would not have dominion over him) and needs to repent, drop that other woman and go back to his wife. He said he would also question whether that man was a real believer, since a true believer may fall into sin but will not practice sin.

In his own words (from a forthcoming chapter he wrote for a joint compilation on grace),
"If you hear of any 'grace' teaching that tells you it is all right to sin, to live without any regard for the Lord, and that there are no consequences to sin, my advice to you is to flee from that teaching. You have just been exposed to counterfeit grace. Genuine grace teaches that believers in Christ are called to live holy, blameless and above reproach. It teaches that sin always produces destructive consequences and it is only through the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ that one can be set free from the dominion of sin."

He then asks, "So how do we know if someone is truly living under the grace of God?"
His answer: "We look at their lives."
And so, "If someone is leaving his wife for his secretary and tells you he is under 'grace,' tell this person that he is not under grace but under deception! ... Genuine grace doesn't compromise God's holy standards and condone sin; it is the answer that gives people power to live glorious lives zealous for good works."

Fourth, we both agree that sanctification is progressive, meaning the moment we are saved, we are forgiven, declared righteous, and set apart as holy, but now we must grow in holiness. To quote his own words again, "true grace does teach progressive sanctification," and, "As believers, we cannot become more righteous, but we can become more sanctified or holy in terms of how we live our lives. ... The more one grows in grace—the more one is washed again and again by the water of the word of God's grace—the more one grows in sanctification and holiness."

He rejected strongly the idea, put forth by another "grace teacher," that progressive sanctification is a "spiritually murderous lie."
Fifth, we both agree that the Lord corrects us, and even disciplines us, and we both agree that included in the preaching of grace is the calling to "exhort, and rebuke with all authority" (see Titus 2:15). We agree that true born-again believers will feel uncomfortable in their sins (because of their born-again spirits and because of the Holy Spirit) and will have a genuine desire to find a way out of sin. We agree that the only way out of sin is to point people to Jesus.

Pastor Prince believes the primary role of the Holy Spirit is to remind us we are the righteousness of God in Christ (see 2 Cor. 5:21, John 16: 10) and that this understanding is critically important in helping people to turn from sin. While I also believe that this is an important role of the Spirit, I believe His primary role when we sin is to lovingly reprove and correct us, thereby pointing us back to the Father (see Rev. 3:19, 22). Obviously, these two emphases go hand in hand.

Sixth, we both agree that God's Law is glorious and holy and beautiful and that, in Pastor Prince's words, "True grace teaching upholds the moral excellencies, values and virtues espoused by the Ten Commandments." But we understand that, "The Ten Commandments are so perfect in [their] standard and so unbending in [their] holy requirements that Galatians 3:11 states that no man can be justified by the law in the sight of God. Justification before God can only come by faith in Christ."

The Law, as designed by God, exposes our sin and brings us to the end of ourselves, thereby bringing us to the foot of the cross where grace and mercy flow. Not only so, but "when God's people are under grace, not only do they fulfill the letter of the law, but they also exceed it or go the extra mile."

Seventh, we both agree that any form of universalism or any denial of future punishment for the lost must be categorically rejected, and we agree that as recipients of grace, we share a burden for the lost, wanting to reach everyone with this glorious message, also believing in Romans 1:16, to the Jew first.

Eighth, we both agree on the importance of commitment to the local church and the authority of the local church, recognizing how many so-called grace preachers have broken away from both, to the harm of their own souls.
In our meeting, we shared our mutual love for the people of Israel and our desire for them to be saved, we shared our abhorrence of counterfeit grace, and we each lovingly challenged the other to consider certain points before the Lord. And, in the midst of our current differences, we agreed to do our best to expose what we both believed were counterfeit grace errors.

It is my prayer that these errors will continue to be exposed and that God will use us to point His people to His glorious grace that has appeared in Jesus, which "teaches us to say 'no' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age" (Titus 2:12, NIV). And where I have a blind spot or a misunderstanding of God's Word, may the Lord give me grace to see it, and where my brother has a blind spot or a misunderstanding of God's Word, may the Lord give him grace to see it.

I'm sure Pastor Prince will come under attack for meeting with me and welcoming me warmly as a brother, and I'm sure I will come under attack for doing the same with him. And so, to each of you who find fault with us for having this dialogue in the Lord, I encourage you to pray for us and, more importantly, to ask yourself if you too agree with our points of agreement here. If so, join us in shouting them out to the rest of the church.

May God's true grace be exalted; may counterfeit grace be exposed.

And Snoozy., your name indicates what you do instead of "learning" ..,you sleep. I suggest you wake up and stop fault finding others and learn for yourself. When you go out and preach the Gospel to millions and the Holy Spirit works through your words., maybe then I'd listen to your advice... but for now your words are meaningless.

yeah no discernment. new age gospel? the one preached on oprah's tv network?

u put a lot of faith in men. my words are meaningless cause im not on a new age tv network. maybe if i join a hindu congregation u would believe me. do some "christian" yoga on tv perhaps? maybe some motocross show or worldly music in church? flashy lights? thats the trick.

if u would have read the bible as u claim u would see clearly what the tv preachers are saying rarely matches the bible.
only reason u think it does is u throw away the parts u dont like. by claiming its old covenant or law preaching. i know joseph does it all the time.

Sitting in your living room and snoozing doesn't give you any credibility to criticize men of God who go out and preach Jesus to the world on a daily basis. It's so easy to find fault with others when you sit at home behind your computer where no one sees you or can "judge" you and your life to see if you are "worthy" to be heard. How brave of you snoozy.

Looks like Jesus was right when He said shall I find faith on earth...

RIP Christianity. Its dead. D-E-A-D. 1-2-3 repeat after me and its a done deal.
The faith that was delivered to the saints once and for all, the truth that the early church defended and guarded is now being dragged through the mud. Paul told us the apostasy would come.

Even the world can afford to call christians hypocrites today.

Here is another writer named Andrew Farley who understands our standing in Christ is secure because it's wrapped up in Jesus. Does this man have a degree? I don't really know.

Every Christian I’ve met who believes they can lose their salvation has always given a reason that involves them. What if I commit suicide? What if I get a divorce? What if I stop believing? What if I…? You fill in the blank there, but it’s all the same. Every hypothetical scenario puts ourselves at the center of the equation. But our faithfulness to God is an old-covenant problem that is solved by the new. ~God Without Religion pp:30-31

How about the Bible? Does that matter? Probably not. Its old covenant aint it? I mean Jesus did say His words last forever but, He didnt really mean that, I heard a guy in a suit tell me something different on TV.

As long as Jesus is mentioned its great. Right? Thats the gospel. WOW everyone is getting saved. REVIVAL!
These brave men of God, they risk their life to preach in the United States, they risk their life to ask for that private jet from their congregations. I mean imagine the persecution they go through! Someone probably says something negative about them on the internet, those poor souls, if only they had millions of dollar$ to comfort themselves with.
How do they have such bravery? What courageous men are these. I wouldnt wanna throw hands with these tough guys thats for sure!

"The problem with religion is that it comes naturally to us. Ever since our ancestors chomped on the forbidden fruit, we’ve had an innate sense of right and wrong that informs everything we do. Instead of trusting our heavenly Father, we trust our own religious instincts. Instead of walking by the spirit, we rely on our own judgment and willpower." Paul Ellis

So easy to condemn people when they are easily accessed and available. So easy to say what you want when no one can easily access you because you are not available for all to see and expose. So easy to take words out of context and then flail your temper through words here on a post Issac92., just too easy for the man behind his computer hidden away and safe in his living room. So easy to condemn others for their income and judge them according to your life. Which by the way we are not supposed to be doing. God can bless who He pleases.

Another excerpt from Andrew Farley's book;

Indeed, clarity is sorely needed in this day and age. One reason many Christians stay enslaved to law-based religion is that they are confused about the words of Jesus. They say,

“We should do everything Jesus said.” But as Farley explains, Jesus had two distinct ministries. In his first ministry he sought to bury the Jews under the true demands of the old covenant. He did this so that the law might fulfill its purpose of silencing the self-righteous and revealing our need for a Savior.

However, Jesus’ second ministry revealed a new and better covenant to come. In parable and deed, Jesus revealed a new covenant based on His Father’s grace and subsequently forged in His own blood. If you fail to distinguish between the two covenants, you’ll get confused and end up mixing grace with works.

This so defines many who criticize other Christians for what they "think" is being said about Jesus teaching.
Many are not rightly dividing the Word of God and instead are angry at those who do read their Bibles and who the Holy Spirit has revealed these wonderful truths too. Even regular Christians can learn how to read the Bible because we have that same Holy Spirit. But we have to be willing to hear Him.

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Here is another writer named Andrew Farley who understands our standing in Christ is secure because it's wrapped up in Jesus. Does this man have a degree? I don't really know.
So far, the only Hyper-grace teacher with a true doctorate.
BTW, that doctorate is in philisophy.
