Skipping the part they are both on Disability, so can't afford to separate, 87% of people who separate divorce. I get that. Do you?

You're still pushing your agenda.
Lynn, I don't have an agenda. And 87% is NOT 100%.. Do YOU get that? I do. She wants to separate for a time to give them both some space to breathe and figure out what to do next. And ftr, I haven't read Hosea, so stop lauding that..

And stop reinventing God. Hosea is STILL his word.

NO ONE can reinvent God. That doesn't even make sense. And as I said before, I haven't ever read Hosea. Stop acting like you know it all. You don't and neither do I.

Divorce is ruining the world. Why do christians advocate it when Jesus did not? I heard that the rate of divorce is now slightly higher for Christians then the rest of society. And no, God doesn't want or put anyone in untenable situations forever, eventually you do die.
That last sentence is ludicrous. God invented marriages to be HAPPY, not miserable. He intended us to be HAPPY in them. What part of that isn't sinking in with you?

Jennifer, I really hope you've learned to divide the advice given to you by now. You are getting some help. (I'm praying for God to make himself clear to you through his word only, because this one is something you do have to decide without help from the choir online.) Just don't count personal bias as advice.

You never answered my question, Lynn. In fact, you're purposely avoiding answering it. How am I letting a guy use when 1.) I AM SINGLE, and 2.) NO GUY IS IN MY LIFE? Answer that for me, Miss Smarty. You can't and you know you can't. And I don't have personal bias. I've forgiven all my exes for their stupidity in our relationships. Contrary to what you all believe, I DO NOT hate men, I am NOT bitter at all about what happened to me. At least I was smart enough to leave before it got worse.

But do answer my question, or SHUT UP about it and quit running your mouth. I've seen many people object to YOUR advice as well, so pot meet kettle. :/

How do you know what God intended us to be Happy? How do you know what he invented marriage to make us HAPPY? Maybe God made marriage for a man and woman to help each other, reproduce, and stay safe from sexual immortality. Maybe happiness had nothing to do with it. I heard that over 2/3 of divorce is initiated by women. Perhaps the Walt Disney fairy-tale view of marriage that little girls learn growing up has something to do with this. There is an oath of office you take when you get married. Mine and everyone elses I've ever witnessed was that you stay married until you die, not until you stop being happy.

I know one thing for sure. He didn't intend for us to be miserable in marriage, or abused, neglected, etc.. He wouldn't be a loving God if that's what he intended. And you CAN help each other, CAN reproduce, AND stay safe AND be happy at the same time. :) Oh and btw, Walt Disney was a pedophile. Fine example you just gave of a fairy-tale wedding. :/ lol.. Ain't no such thing as a fairy tale wedding.

Then read it for Pete's sake! This God you talk about does exactly what you keep repeating he doesn't do!

I did answer -- twice. You are so busy defending yourself you didn't hear it -- twice.

And really? Now you think I'm going to shut up? As in you alone are allowed to keep rambling? Do you even know me? lol

I'm starting to believe that the bible is full of contradictions, and that God can't make ANYTHING perfectly and get it right the first time. After all, he DID destroy the earth and all in it, except for Noah and his family. And someday he will destroy THIS earth and this heaven. Seems like he destroys what he doesn't like, INCLUDING MARRIAGES.

I will read Hosea tonight, oh sage one..

Sure you CAN be happy, but that's not the purpose. God does love us, but he is just.

No, you don't know that. That is what you want of God. That isn't who he is. Just read the first three verses of Hosea, and see if that doesn't hook you on wanting to learn who the real God is! I can almost guarantee your first reaction will be, "What in the world????" And then you're going to have to find out why God did that. But God DID do that! Honest! And it says a lot about God, AND about us!!! lol

I have a hard time believing He created us to live in misery. That's not the God I learned about in church, Sunday school and high school. Why create us at all if we're supposed to get treated like crap?

Then he should have killed Adam and Eve. WE are suffering for THEIR stupidity. How is that fair?
He did kill Adam and Eve, they would still be alive today along with everyone else if we hadn't sinned. Instead we get old and die. My mom beat me when I was a child for complaining about what was fair.
