I didn't know proper grammar and spelling were items of opinion. Tell me, is 2+2=4 just an opinion now too?

The point I'm trying to make, and I apologize for doing it at your expense, is that there is a mindset in this country that says close enough is all I need... and it's that mindset that has us quickly becoming a third world country. Why do you think the Bible has us as a non-player in the end? Because 'close enough' is going to be the death of us.

I would have thought that most persons would have take this thread for the tongue in cheek that it is.

Mitspa (unless I'm very sadly mistaken) is rooting for Bernie because unlike his competitor (or predecessor) he isn't trying to hide his socialist/communist agenda. That being said, (at least according to the latest polls that I've seen) if Bernie wins the Democratic nomination either Republican front runner takes the general election whereas if Hillary gets the nomination (shy of an indictment) it will be a close race to the end.

Annnndd all this is paid for how? Try 15% tax,or higher,it's what we paid in the province I was from. No such thing as "free".He's a liar if he fails to tell the people their taxes are about to go through the roof.

Exactly. When you become indoctrinated into believing that things like your/you're, they're/there/their, and the like no longer matter, then it's just a snowball's roll downhill to believing that our current batch of leaders - Dems and Reps alike - have our best interests at heart.

Good cause Bernie has been the ONLY independent in the congress for years now ... and Bloomberg will get in as well if Bernie wins ...

He's running with the Democrats but by party he is Independent. Perhaps a last trump card to preventing the communist takeover is to finagle the DNC into disqualifying him. Sometimes the two party system can work to our benefit after all, but I think they're still hoping Hillary can beat him in the more traditional manner.

Le sigh this is why democrazy is such a failure, allows for communists to take over.

The pollen is then sucked into the nose of a caribou. The caribou sneezes. The sneeze startles the herd and sends them into a stampede. The stampede kicks up a cloud of dust. The dust gets carried on the wind out over the ocean. The ocean moisture condenses on the dust cloud and forms a storm. The storm wipes out the west coast of the US.

In this application, long version short, the people are taught that little things don't matter. Believing that little things don't matter, the people become ignorant. In their ignorance they elect the very 'leaders' that lead us to ruin.

No one is suggesting that the government be ceded all the power over the economy of the country...I'm not and Bernie Sanders isn't either. That would be communism. There are only 5 countries in the entire world where there is no private sector and the government is in control of the entire economy. Every other country on the planet is a Mixed Economy, where there is a balance between markets and government economic planning, and public and private ownership. As far as education goes, a big reason why our education system is so bad is because its all about testing. Schools get funding based on, and teachers job security relies on, how well students do on tests. As students, we are required to remember information, and then be tested on it, but do we every REALLY learn it? One of the most highly rated education systems in the whole world is in Finland. Education in Finland is publicly funded from pre-school all the way through college. Our higher education system has turned into a for-profit racket that no longer seeks to educate future leaders to better our country but instead finds anyway possible to make a buck. Its time for us to take our country back from the corporations and special interests that control our elections and policymaking.

really what is going on is we don't have a pivot in this country anymore. We do but it is dwindling.

God protects his people who are advancing and growing in His knowledge. If we would stop with the "christian causes" and all of our fixes and just advance or mature in Christ, raise our families doctrinally, do our jobs doctrinally,love our spouses doctrinally,live doctrinally..................God puts His hedge around a nation. He takes care of the periphery if he has positive believers living in a free nation.

We have a small pivot of positive believers in this country any more........it is why we are seeing the decline.

Of course its all free. Bernie has promised to pay for every program of his by increasing corporate taxes, just look at his site. Once he chases businesses out of America (or bankrupts them), since we already have the highest corporate tax rate in the world, alot of us won't have an income to raise taxes on.

I'm highly confident that if Bernie gains the Oval Office and is able to railroad through half of his programs my employer who is at retirement age would just close his doors rather than watch the wealth that he has spent a lifetime building vanish into the government coffers.
