Nothings free, no one is suggesting that. He wants to tax wall street speculation, make corporations and billionaires actually pay taxes instead of sheltering their money off shore, close tax loopholes on interest and inheritances, and end tax breaks and subsidies for fossil fuel companies. In 2010, General Electric didn't pay dime in taxes, in fact, they recorded a tax benefit of 1.1 billion dollars. They are a multi-billion dollar corporation, thats disgusting. And there are many other examples like that. Every one wants to say, "oh its all these entitled millennial that just want something for nothing"...no, we just want the rich and powerful to pay a much more fair tax rate, instead of being allowed to game the system.

No one is suggesting that the government be ceded all the power over the economy of the country...I'm not and Bernie Sanders isn't either. That would be communism. There are only 5 countries in the entire world where there is no private sector and the government is in control of the entire economy. Every other country on the planet is a Mixed Economy, where there is a balance between markets and government economic planning, and public and private ownership. As far as education goes, a big reason why our education system is so bad is because its all about testing. Schools get funding based on, and teachers job security relies on, how well students do on tests. As students, we are required to remember information, and then be tested on it, but do we every REALLY learn it? One of the most highly rated education systems in the whole world is in Finland. Education in Finland is publicly funded from pre-school all the way through college. Our higher education system has turned into a for-profit racket that no longer seeks to educate future leaders to better our country but instead finds anyway possible to make a buck. Its time for us to take our country back from the corporations and special interests that control our elections and policymaking.

Nick, You're scaring me brother. First, we are vastly different than those countries you listed in that we are governed by our Constitution, which is anathema to socialism, NOT the utopian whims of men. Second, those countries are not doing NEAR as well as you believe. Most are close to collapse. Third, the ONLY reason those countries are able to even slightly experiment with socialism over the past 50 years is because they have benefited tremendously from the fact that AMERICA has spent trillions defending them from all sorts of potential attacks. Let's see them SOLELY defend themselves. They would be broke in an instant. And how have WE afforded to defend the world TIL RECENTLY, Capitalism, RESTRAINED by our Constitution, that's how.

Further, can't you see that Gov. once given control over an economy is NEVER satisfied. It ALWAYS ends in totalitarianism.

Please see and read the misery and murder that socialism has caused in the last century. Then please read about what is going on in Socialist Venezuela TODAY. THAT is socialisms true self.

OMG! Bravo to the smashing success of the leftist indoctrination of our education establishment.

OK. Back to the sanity of preaching Christ crucified and risen!

Peace, Grace, and Love to you

Alexander Fraser Tytler 1776

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising them the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over a loss of fiscal responsibility, always followed by a dictatorship. The average of the world's great civilizations before they decline has been 200 years. These nations have progressed in this sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith,
From spiritual faith to great courage,
From courage to liberty,
From liberty to abundance,
From abundance to selfishness,
From selfishness to complacency,
From complacency to apathy,
From apathy to dependency,
From dependency back again to bondage."

I listed 6 countries in NATO. Of those; Germany, Belgium, Denmark, France and Canada all have constitutions that lay out responsibilities and powers of government, and protections for civil rights. The only one I listed that doesn't have a formal written constitution is the UK. Where are you getting your information? And are we not close to collapse also...we are 19 Trillion dollars in debt. What do you mean by "afforded to defend the world" anyway. We have to borrow money from China to bomb and invade countries in the middle east. I don't consider that affording anything. And your statement that once given control of an economy, the government is never satisfied is completely false. Almost every country in the world is Mixed Economy(only five arn't), meaning that the government has some control over the market system. By your assertion, almost every country on the planet would be on a slow march to totalitarianism. Stop giving into the fear of the government providing services that shouldn't be for profit.

There's only one thing wrong with your argument ... it incorporates intelligence and common sense, and that absolutely does not fly here!

What put us 19 trillion dollars in debt then? And they got you fighting for MORE and the majority fighting to give them MORE.

And the next election will be the same, they will fool the majority with a "good cause" to get MORE taxes and when they deplete GE,wal-mart and all the other evil companies..................they are going to be knocking on YOUR door for MORE.

Its not GE not paying enough, its the Government spending to much.

I'm sorry, I don't see the link between greed and righteousness...
You will when the SCOTUS is so polluted that no one can get justice. At least the greedy one-percenter's know they need a court that will issue judgments that respect the law as in the constitution. If they are busy making money they will not focus on how you and I worship God.

The SCOTUS is already there. The one percenters don't respect anything but the almighty dollar. Their money makes their money, so they will hunt us down if only for a hobby.

But that's off topic. Go Bernie go!

If all caps is screaming, what is it when you put 5 exclamation points after virtually EVERY post you make?
Seriously, go back and look at your posts. You sound deranged. Are you excited about chastising people? Do you think what you have to say is so profound that it deserves 5 !!!!! ????? Do you have low self esteem and the over use of punctuation helps that?

I don't know the reason. Can you tell us?

You are completely over exaggerating about my posts, as I don't put 5 exclamation points, only three !!!

And when a person does that it just means the person is very excited about discussing God's word and contending for His ways to be done in our lives !!!

You make false allegations and attack me just because there are points you have not learned to accept in God's word yet on how we are to carry ourselves and act as believers in Christ.

Nowhere does the bible give believers the right to treat others like crap, and we are to squash such backbiting and bad mouthing of others. Not continue to do such things !!!

I think some need to go back and read the many warnings from Paul in the list of things that if people are doing these will not inherit the kingdom of heaven as in receive eternal life.

And if any of things we are doing falls in that list then that shows we need to repent and stop doing them !!!

WOW!
You condem what everyone else is saying, then accused Bush of stealing an election without ANY sound evidence.
I did not condemn nobody, what I did say was that this backbiting of another is not acceptable in the Word of God...Big difference !!!

Also did you forget how Bush lost the election until he asked for a recount in Florida where his family member was in government office there ??? And he lost by a good margin, not a small one !!!

After the recount in Florida all of sudden he then won the presidency !!!

Also the Bushes have been connected to and been part of some underhanded and wrongful doings just as much as the Clinton's have been claimed to have been. Only a person is blinded by their own parties lies would believe they aren't !!!
