The SCOTUS is already there. The one percenters don't respect anything but the almighty dollar. Their money makes their money, so they will hunt us down if only for a hobby.

But that's off topic. Go Bernie go!
The only thing that will make America great again is the person who made America great in the first place.

If Bernie wins Putin will attend the inauguration. May come down to a coin flip. That's what Hillary is counting on as it worked for her in Iowa.

Okay I can even see how some of the leftists like Bernie, but what is with the right-ringers supporting him? Lolzy communist/socialist memes aside, Bernie will be a far more formidable candidate against the GOP, particularly if Trump or Cruz are nominated in a General Election match-up. Hillary actually kinda caves and works with the GOP a lot, plus if she wins that will fire up the GOP hardcore supporters. In Sanders mind the GOP is basically the biggest enemy, and besides the Bern himself, his supporters are the hardcore of the leftists in America that will be more active if he wins.

https://twitter.com/SenSanders

I think Bernie be a lot more feisty against the GOP. Frankly the only ones that can stand against Sanders in a debate in the GOP is either Trump to straight joust him and try to reunify America by sheer strength or to go the Kasich route to kindly bossman him to the side and try to reunify the disparate factions of America through peace.

Kasich vs. Sanders 1995 (when the economy was actually good lol)!

I'm no fan of the Bern, but seriously, Mitspa, I don't think rich people this day and age are making America a better place...rich people of today are too busy wiring their racketeering money to small islands in the sun...

I think some rich people are jerks and some rich people do a lot of good and are a great benefit to the country ... Rich people are just like poor people..except with lots of money :)

You know "rich" is a relative term... In places folks in the US who make 300 dollars a week would be considered very rich...

I think an underrated and unrecognized aspect of this is who fears the word "socialism" and why. Anyone that hadn't been born yet, or wasn't old enough to remember or understand the world on December 26,1991 when the Soviet Union collapsed, isn't going to have the same fear of socialism that someone who was born/old enough. Sanders does very well with young people, I think in part, because people in my generation don't fear adding socialist aspect to our economy like those in older generations do. "The red scare" and living in fear of Soviet ICBM's raining down on my house from 1947-1991 would probably make me afraid of the word socialism too. That fear is baseless though. The Soviet Union was a communist state. Their economy was 100 percent controlled by government central planning. There wasn't an economic market. The socialism that Sanders advocates is all part of a "mixed economy", much like Canada and many countries in western Europe, where there is a private Capitalist economy along side a public sector that controls aspects that shouldn't be for profit(such as health care and education).

Mits, if you took all the cookies from the plate and left none for your brother, your mom made you put some back, right?

I know a 10 year old who makes $50 a week mowing grass for his neighbors. He'll tell you in a heartbeat that he is rich and blessed. He happily puts his 10% tithe in the offering plate every week.

Sorry pal...its called capitalism ....and its already proven itself to be the ONLY economic system to actually help all people willing to work... If little brother is too lazy to get off the couch ..let him go without a cookie...as the bible says "he that wont work, should not eat"

It's called greed, Jesus taught against it, and it's wrong whether it happens at the bottom or the top.

People should have to work for what they receive. But people should also receive what they work for.

Matthew 19:18 Jesus replied, “ ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19honor your father and mother,’[SUP]c[/SUP] and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’[SUP]d[/SUP] ”
20“All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?”
21Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
22When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.
23Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

I suppose you've scratched this out of your Bible. Awful ballsy to tell God that He is wrong.

I understand your heart brother, and your desire to help the needy. The problem is, what Mitspa has said before, that wealth is a relative term. I have been to places where YOU and I would be considered Bill Gates with what we have. Think about it. We always have enough to eat, THAT ALONE IS ASTOUNDING!, we have clean water at the turn of a tap, we have cars, we have tvs and computers and phones and wifi, and refrigerators and air conditioners, and... well you get the point. I have seen people in other countries that have NONE of these, nor a myriad of government programs that could help them get any as we have here.

And how have we accumulated such wealth, that the poorest of us live like Kings compared to other places and historical terms? CAPITALISM, restrained by our constitution, that's how. Yes the system naturally creates what the left describes as income inequality.

But socialism, or equal distribution of wealth, REGARDLESS of how hard a person works or their mental gifts, will and does result in EVERYBODY having less.

So would you rather be millions or even billions poorer than the few, yet have all the things I listed earlier, or would you rather have no milllioniares or billionaires, yet YOU and everyone else, live in constant need and want?

Don't believe the lie that we can ALL have the same assets or stuff, and have a lifestyle anywhere near what we have now.

Jesus Himself said the poor will always be with us.

Its called freedom and in freedom some folks will work for greed ..and some folks will work to help others ..and some folks wont want to work at all but try to live off those that do.

Believe me, I know it's relative. I've been on mission trips to the poorest of the poor in other countries. But greed at the top is causing us to become one of those countries. Did you know that the middle class in the US is no longer the largest class? And they're not upward moving... People who lived sufficiently in this country are being forced into poverty because they no longer are compensated according to their work.

I go back to the cookies on the plate. This idea that the first to the table can clear the plate and leave none for anyone else is wrong, wrong, WRONG, wrong, WRONG!

In the day I grew up, commercials would say "Cheetos - bring enough to share". Now the commercials say "Cheetos - get your own d*mn bag". I just have to wonder which version Jesus prefers.

If you don't work you don't eat... The reason our nation is in such a mess is because of godless liberals in both parties ... And no one has the right to give to the poor except they give from their own pocket ....you don't take other people money and give it away and then try to claim that's godly charity ...because its not.
