This story is all over the news. Just about everyone on FB is posting about Harambe the gorilla and his "murder". I didn't hear about this till later in the weekend. The details still seem a bit fuzzy. So far Ive managed to ascertain that a little boy got away from his mother, got under a rail and fell off a cliff into the gorilla enclosure. The gorilla pulled the boy through the water and fearing for the childs life zoo workers put the gorilla down. Clue me in if I missed something.

So I popped in on FB and see all these memes about this "murdered" gorilla. People are outraged that the animal was killed. They blame the mother and say it was her fault and want her charged. There is a petition on Change.org signed by 100,000 people called "Justice for Harambe". Now I admit I was raised old fashioned compared to how people think today but I cannot get my mind around this. First off if you have children you know how fast they move. Take eyes off them for a moment and they're gone. I read that the mother had several children in her care. Secondly, this was an animal, not a person. You kill an animal, you murder a person. The childs life was in danger, that was the call that the zoo keepers made. So,ok, sad that a gorilla died. But people are mourning this like it was a human being. Seriously?!

We have a petition for a blasted gorilla and no one has said anything about the girl that was strangled in a Chicago bathroom by a man. I dont see anyone outraged. I didn't see it all over FB. Barely saw it on the news. No one is talking about it around the cooler at work. Why not? Is an animal more important than a child?! There is silence because transgender is a PC issue. The danger of men faking transgender and harming women and children doesn't count because its more important that a transgender isn't embarrassed when going to the restroom. Am I the only one who sees this as insanity?! That a gorilla is more important than the safety of a child. That being PC is more important than the safety of women and children. They have no problem with abortion, but dont "murder" a gorilla. Unbelievable what this country has come to. Ive been holding this in but when I saw all the "poor innocent gorilla" memes on FB today I lost it. I think I was born in the wrong generation. smh I dont understand it.
The same people that will be so indignant of a Gorilla being put down will be the same people that will be okay with life being taken In the womb and calling It pro-choice.

The zoo keepers called the Apes in with treats. All of them came except the male who had his treat with him in the exhibit.
That's impossible. They're sweet peaceful creatures.

4 years old? My kids were too lazy to walk in the zoo then. They Always sat in a buggy. I sometimes pitied those parents with those kids that would go all over the place. A couple in church just put their son on a leash, so they could have some rest.

I used to think people who put their kids on leashes were horrible. How could they do that to their kids. Then my sister had kids, ya,now I know. Those little ankle bitters were fast! And they were really good kids but if you blinked they'd be off somewhere.

We had one who escaped in Holland, Bokito. A woman talked to him through the glass every time she came, he was behind glass and it annoyed him and he just broke through it. He still lives btw, still in the zoo. Not gonna visit that zoo. Better leave these animals in the jungle or something if they're so concerned about them.

May 18 2007 gorilla Bokito escaped from the gorilla island in Blijdorp Zoo. He injured 4 people, one woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
He dragged her with him a long way, she was full of blood, but Bokito still lives. That's what it's all about in this life.

Oh also one in Dallas:
An escaped gorilla at the Dallas Zoo attacked a little boy.

They were on a camping with one kid, but he couldn't sit still for one moment and there was water all around them, so that guy got so tired of it, he put him on a leash, so they could sit and enjoy their holiday a bit. They got so many comments from people. Well wait 'til you have kids yourself! he said, lol.

Besides the fact that he had already bounced the kids head of the concrete several times ...

Sounds like a single mom with a bunch of kids. I only invite one kid at a time that is very well raised if I go out with 4. Otherwise no way. But to the zoo and things like that I only go with 3. They follow me like 3 ducklings. And that age I'd just have them in a double buggy. Lol someone once called: you miss one hand! I had 2 in a double buggy and 1 in a kid's bike that I could hold. That's just undoable if you have so many and they go all over the place.
I think it was a teacher with a bunch of kids, but like I said it was just her trying to watch a bunch of kids. Had there been more chaperones, this wouldn't have happened.

Ironically Harambe is a Swahili word meaning unity.

People are angry a gorilla which is an endangered species had to be killed due to someone else's negligence.
Is that why people post things such as '17, black, unarmed and shot down'? Because they're upset about an endangered animal being shot?
Or is that why this was, originally, being referred to as a 'white privelege' shooting? They only killed the gorilla because the child was white. If the child had been black, they wouldn't have shot it.
That's what was being posted around until it came out the child was actually black. Did that get passed around the internet because they were upset about an endangered animal?
How many of pro-Hamarabe people know if they are endangered or not? Or knew that before the shooting? This has nothing to do with outrage over an endangered species. It has to do with people finding some reason to be mad about something. If they were really That concerned about animals to begin with then why weren't they all speaking out against animals being held in captivity? Likely the majority of these people are fine with zoos and knew nothing about gorillas being endangered, before this.
People just want to be mad at something.

They should have brought in an aclu lawyer and a negotiating team to end the hostage situation peacefully and to make sure the gorillas human rights weren't violated. They could have flown in Coco the sign language chimp to communicate with Harambe. Apes lives matter.

I'm gonna start an animal rights protest or shall I call it people rights. Get them out of zoos and let them stay in some uninhabited place. They even break through glass. I'm never gonna visit a zoo with a silverback in it.

It's in Spanish and it means "We're doing something wrong..."

something's wrong with us.jpg

So... there's been a recent zoo incident where a boy fell in a gorillas cage in which the gorilla was shot down to ensure the kid's safety. Its sad the gorilla died... but I'm more glad the kid came out alive. People have complained about tranquilizers not being used. I thought the same but held my judgement until I actually got informed and read the story before making a call. They didn't use tranquilizers because it could've potentially angered the gorilla and killed the kid in the process. I don't care who's fault it is.. parent's fault , kid's fault.. whoever... that's beside my point. If we have to choose between the life of a kid and the gorillas... I don't care if its the very last animal on earth. I'll choose the kid's life anytime and anywhere. There are actually people alive on planet earth that believe that the gorillas life was worth more or equal to the kid's life. The kid's life should not have equal consideration on par with the gorillas life. People that think the gorilla's life should get equal or more consideration than the kid's life need mental help.

Also, the emotional undertones people take which is an overall sadness is wrong. We shouldn't be THAT sad about a gorilla having to die to save a human being. Yes, its sad. But, the gladness and happiness we should feel for the rescue of a human being should overshadow the sadness you feel for the death of the gorilla. A gorilla is dead and a human kid survived. That should make everyone glad... feel relieved... and more happy and we should celebrate a lot more... than mourn. If you feel more sad than happy... whether you say it or not... it may be because you care more about an animal than a human being.

Here's a video with more footage of the incident. Anyone that says the gorilla was gentle or taking care of the kid have only seen edited versions of the video... gee I wonder why the video was edited...now watch this video version where more is revealed and the gorilla drags that kid through the floor.. https://youtu.be/Zfuz7cTDNeI?t=20s

Ya. Good idea. We need more people on the unemployment line.
Liberals answer to everything...ban everything that don't turn people into perverts or dope heads.
