if you want a solution...

the churches that have a politically active culture need to teach more discernment...and perform more excommunications...

i didn't say that...there is a difference between 'sinners' in the church and people who obstinately continue in willful self deception and try to spread it to others...

or would it have been more to your liking if i said 'round up all the losers in the churches and build a $6 billion wall around them'?

If it comes down to Trump or one of the establishment guys like bush or the Jersey guy...im going trump If one of the real Christians like Huck can get in the game ...I would probably vote that way.... what I will never do is vote for another guy like the last two phonies the republicans have forced upon us... No matter what

At this point your disdain for me is so apparent that it's doubtful you will have the humility to say anything to my liking....although your post does carry a sort 'Jason' mentality to it....I kinda like that I guess. Lol

Yep..i understand but I had rather have trump and all his unknown insanity than to continue in the insanity we have already seen and know we will get with one of these establishment guys... I think its clear that most feel like I do..at least for now.

For what it's worth, I think you are both making pretty valid points.

Rachel thinks there is good reason to question Trump's conservative credentials and his authenticity.

Sirk thinks that the standard political types are consigning our nation to doom and that Trump resonates because he doesn't look or sound like them. He speaks plainly. Sirk has, to my knowledge, never openly supported Trump beyond claiming Trump stands for conservative principles (which Trump is currently doing).

I think part of the reason for this back and forth is that neither of you are arguing the other's antithesis, but touching it enough to set the other one off.

By and large though, I think Sirk has gleaned the most useful lessons from the rise of Trump. Sirk is not just assuming this is some sort of hypnotic event, but that there is something other candidates are missing- courage.

Again, this is why I encourage everyone to read Trump to get a better understanding. His isn't an unknown kind of insanity. Just a different kind.

The only problem I have with the Trump haters is that they offer nothing except that he is a buffoon a liar and he's had divorces and...and and.....AND...they don't offer anything to fix the fact that "conservatives" have relegated themselves to the sidelines on the national level because they are either cowards....or phony themselves.

Meanwhile...back on planet Nutcase....little johnny is getting his education from Caitlynn Jenner and teacher demagogue...while mom and dad struggle to make ends meet.

haha ...you guys are sharp
When people are angry they say things that bite them when someone is paying attention. VW is a bit tougher because everytime he posts it's a mini novel.... I can hear him from here banging on his keyboard though......"The more words..the less the meaning". That my friend is biblical. Lol

Rachel seems to have this notion that I think Trump is this savior on a white horse riding into our rescue...when what I am really saying is that Trump is showing a potential conservative candidate...in real time...how to connect with the silent majority.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...if a conservative candidate isn't taking notes...they are as blind as she is and should string poles and lines into every neighborhood in the country and connect with everyone thru morse code....because any other means but to use the current media to get the message out is an exercise in futility as absurd as morse code. lol

Rachel just gets witty whenever she thinks someone or something is threatening to that which she supports. She just wants the best for you I think and for the GOP and for America and for Christians. I think her wittiness masks her tenderness towards us all. She is quite passionate when she thinks someone or something is trying to harm or deceive us. Personally I like that. If she weren't 5 years older than me and probably married I would fain think I'd develop a crush.

I'm not her enemy...but she has chosen to treat me as such. However, she has been nicer to me than VW and I have quite enjoyed and appreciated her sharpening of my message. VW has just checked out of the conversation completely.... and has apparently, dehumanized me in his heart....as evidenced by his childish "unfriending" of me.

Of course Trump is popular, and getting tons of press...
he's the only interesting person on the political landscape.

It's really the same sentiment and psychology that made Obama popular in elections past.

Personally, I can't see that it makes much difference.

You can choose loud blustering guys who lie, or clever witty guys who lie, or quiet intellectual guys who lie... or, since this is the 21st century, heck, you can pick a liar who isn't a guy at all!
Really, the choices are endless.
Good times.

Truly good times.
