I'm not denying it's a sort of poetic justice that he's dead, but aren't you supposed to not say stuff like this? Where's the hope, faith and forgiveness? I mean, for all you know the guy could have a genuine mental illness. It certainly seems to me that a guy who shoots two people because he lost his job, isn't the most rational man out there, so I am able to have some level of understanding that isn't based on a pure need for vengeance, but you, you don't seem to be capable of that, and yet your profile says you're Christian. That scares me.

I've come across a lot of Christians who believe they shouldn't judge, they shouldn't be so swift to hand out sentences, so quick to get so angry that reason flies out the window. You're not like those Christians, so what kind of Christian are you? Scrap that, what kind of person are you? Are you the kind of person who believes in unfettered access to deadly weapons, but gets angry when a clearly irrational dude gets access to a gun and shoots two people in broad daylight? The kind of person who calls for his head but doesn't take a minute to think any of it through in a rational manner? it certainly seems that way, and if that's the kind of person you are, then what makes you any less crazy than him?

Do you think because you call for blood from your sofa, rather than from the butt-end of a rifle, that your bloodlust is any more sane than his is? Because I don't. I think knee jerk reactions to anything are reckless and stupid, and I think you need to grow up and use your brain. Three people are dead, and the solution in your mind is to glorify your own hatred for one of those people, yet fail to say anything at all constructive?

If a person kills another, especially for no reason that were to be justified, then they should be given punishment for the lives they needlessly took. Doesn't the Bible suggest even in the Old Testament that if a man were to slaughter someone, then give the same exact treatment to them?

Anyway, I believe in Capital Punishment and that people should owe the same type of punishment that they have inflicted through their crimes on another. It doesn't matter what the motive was and never will be justified to take an innocent life that would still have been a price to pay in order to acknowledge such criminally exists to begin with. That's like letting a rapist into your home even though he has a criminal history of raping multiple women and children, while having a wife and children in your home. Because you 'sought forgiveness' for the man, does that permit for him to step foot in your door and allow him to be alone with your wife and children? Why let someone free in the state of the very surroundings of where he's committed the crime if that's what your version of forgiveness would be?

You can make assumptions and think what ever you really want. I'm not going to lose sleep if you really think that there's people, Christian or not, that believe punishment should be given in the same extent that they have committed. Especially since the shooter did in fact flaunt on social media of the acts he did, he deserves no remorse from common people. He did this to himself.

Also, while I should take no joy in the death of the one who killed the two, the Bible does teach that a 'man' should be put to death for the death of another. This isn't about religious beliefs and the afterlife. It's injustice that was shown right on screen while racial tensions have been at an all time high and people refusing to acknowledge that what has been done IS a hate crime. Now people arguing over gun bans, thinking that this proves that our guns should be taken because of illegal gun owners. People who were going to work, doing what they had to do and hoped to return home by the end of the day caught on film in agony and shot to death. The first media shooting that has ever been recorded, too.

It actually is. Because a selfish person on Earth basically determined two people's fate eternally. It's a sad tragedy that may even be sadder. We don't know and won't know until our time.

What you are saying is against what the Bible teaches.I assume you are Catholic. A person cannot be saved after death,we have to make our choice while still here on earth.

While you can pity a wasted life I cannot understand why this day in age everything has to be a disease.This man stocked and murdered two innocent people in cold blood.Then he posted the murder on twitter and facebook bragging on what he had done.This is not a mental illness,its evil,its demonic.I wish people would stop making excuses for the murders and focusing on them more than the victims.
