I hate slow drivers in the fast lane. Liberals are a close 2nd.
Then I will suggest reading your Bible more closely. Seems I recall it tells us not to hate people

Imagine there's a fry cook at McDonald's who burns my hamburger every time I go there. So I go to the manager and say this is ridiculous and that fry cook doesn't get it together then you should fire him. Doesn't mean I hate all fry cooks

Some of the most hateful people I know are Christian...go figure
I'd figure you need to get out more and meet some christians. ;)

I'd also figure christians are people too, we have all the emotions God created us with, many christians are sick of having the lies of the world and the genuine hatred that comes with it shoved at us and being told we better accept it or WE'RE called hateful, racist, homophobic, and a whole lot more, and sometimes what might be righteous indignation and anger is misconstrued and falsely called hatred.

I'd also figure many christians are at different stages of growth, many are hurting from one reason or another, and that can manifest in different ways sometimes and seem like hatred.
And perhaps many are not christians at all.

And christians aren't perfect, practically speaking. Christians are forgiven.

The world should know us by the love we have for one another, and we're called to let brotherly love continue. Not always easy, and impossible without the love and grace of God.

But by the grace of God we are what we are, and I know in my own life, I could do much better. I thank Him for His mercy and patience, I'm a work in progress. Not making excuses, though. Hopefully I'm not as bad as I used to be, but I have a long way to go. IT is finished, but He's not finished with us.

One of my co-workers is a devout Christian. She's in church every time the doors are open, always walking around work singing gospel songs but I probably could not pay her to speak a kind word to me

I've been a member of my church for about 11 years and I have noticed that over the years our congregation has been on a steady decline. I believe this is in part due to the way people treat each other. One of my very dear friend who is deceased now left our church and never came back because someone said something rude to her about the way her children were dressed. Don't let me be Pastor because I will openly confront those who do these things

Posted in the vein of biting humor:

1. I don't have hate for any group. In order to hate something, you first have to love it. I don't love anything. Therefore, I don't hate anything. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

2. I won't throw the Catholic Church in the trash. Sorry if that upsets you. Deal with it. I also won't condemn the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Mormon Church, the Jehovah's Witnesses, 7th-day Adventists or any other group many of you like to bag on.

3. I don't think less of homosexuals, drug-addicts, adulterers, or any other group you think I should look down my nose at. Sorry if it upsets you. Deal with it.

4. I don't throw Bible verses around. Never have, never will. If I want to know what the Bible says, I will read it. If I can make my own point without needing to resort to shoving Scripture in your face, then I will make my own point. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

5. I don't have an opinion about doctrines. Many of them, I have no opinion because I have never looked into them. Many of them, I have no opinion because I think they are silly things to bicker about and don't serve any useful purpose. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

6. I have no interest in playing the whole 'I am holier than thou art" game that goes on. Those kinds of games stopped being entertaining in 3rd grade back when farts and boogers were still funny. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

7. I'm not here to make friends. I don't do friendships. I'm here to learn, to read, and to occasionally interact with people on my terms. On the flip side, I am not here to make enemies. You are free to dislike me all you want, and it won't make any impact on me. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

8. I get no joy or thrill out of having to explain myself because people can't bother to read carefully and comprehend what they are reading. It's a battle I don't care to fight. I've fought enough in my life. School bullies, combat in the military, two ex-wives, bosses, clients, and now strangers on the Internet. No thanks. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

9. I feel no need to advertise my views just to invite criticism from people I don't know nor respect. My views are mine, and I am under no obligation to defend them to you or anyone else. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

10. My reasons for becoming a Christian are my own. What kind of Christian I am is no doubt vastly different than yours, and no doubt you are sure I am "doing it wrong". You are entitled to your opinion. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.
the title of the thread is stinking thinking, because people's opinion have no weight unless you want them to have weight. Other than personal conduct etc. as long as your abiding by the rules of the site who cares want others think.

No. It just means that if the minimum wage was higher he would like his job better and not burn food. It's the rich white mans fault for being cheap.

You ASKED where he said he had Asperger's.............ok, so, this stuff has run it's course...........I actually hope this guy sticks around. I am looking forward to reading comments he posts on other threads........

Did you really forget you asked where he said he had Asperger's?
No, I never said anything about where he said he has Aspergers. I said he's not "suffering" from it. It is simply who he is. Kind of like thinking I "suffer" from cockeyed. My eyes are cockeyed, but it's not a disease or illness either. It is simply a part of who I am. It frustrates other people, (only because no one knows who I'm looking at but me lol), but I'm not suffering. I usually forget I am. No suffering involved.

He said what he's thinking. He never asked for anyone to agree or disagree with him. He was, and still is, simply saying what he thinks. Would this much anger be involved if he said he doesn't like people who love golf? Would you feel compelled to change his mind? Would you think it wasn't biblical? It's what he thinks of some of us, not what he thinks we should do about it.

I am aware of what I'm writing. I have been consistent. I even disagree with him at points, but trying to force him to change his opinions is like trying to force a conservative into becoming a liberal. It's just not doable. Nor is it necessary. Nor is it worth getting bent out of shape about the person thinking differently.

Yup. It is. And, yup. I get you don't think it's funny. But why insult just because you don't think it is?

I don't think Monty Python or the Three Stooges are funny, but I'm not going to insult anyone for thinking they are.

There's the difference. You seem to think everyone must think like you. No need to understand -- just comply. (And that wasn't humor.)
