Interpreting Jesus as the male child is a knee jerk interpretation. The fact is that, the male child is "caught up" which is the same word "Harpazo" used regarding the living church at the time of the resurrection when they are caught up. The word is defined as "properly, seize by force; snatch up, suddenly and decisively."
I think knee jerking would be the beginning of birth pains. The caught up is the first resurrection that followed in the twinkling of the eye .”It is finished “the graves were opened and the saints that did have the Spirit of Christ in them entered in .Witnessed by many angels when their souls entered the Holy City of many mansions prepared as the bride of Christ.
Those on earth witnessed the darkening of the Sun and the earth quake revealing he who has no form did come in the flesh for a demonstration .(the first resurrection ). .
The spiritual meaning in that parable(Revelation 12) is hidden from those who walk by sight. The woman is the bride of Christ .
I would offer the scriptures inform us to compare the spiritual not seen understanding to the same not seen, the faith principle found in 2 Corithian 4:18..
Remember the bride of Christ is considered the segregate mother of us all . We as new creatures are no longer are required to know each other after the flesh. When studying in order to seek the approval of our God we do not look at male or female , Jew nor gentile. but a new creature ,the bride.Christ our husbands wife.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Paul understood by faith that as a segregate mother who did suffer as in pains of birth how much work offering the gospel to Timothy was needed until Christ was formed in Timothy the work of evangelism can cause pain in that way
Gal 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
In that way holding out the gospel in a hope God would apply to the heart of Timothy .He too would be a member as a chaste virgin bride as one who did not fornicate with other gods in anticipation by faith of the wedding supper in the new heavens and earth.
Timothy like all believers would be one of the virgins that did have oil (the gospel)
Like all mothers making good decisions zealous for the love of her husband Christ they offer the gospel the incorruptible seed by which all who hear and believe become member as the bride of Christ. .
2Co 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
