All those in Hebrews 11 had faith, their own faith to live by. They did not have the faith of Jesus Christ because it was not available until after Jesus' resurrection.

And no, I am not looking at formula words. The bible says whoever calls on the name of the lord will be saved, Did you call on the name of the lord to save you because you knew you were dead because of sin and needed saved?

Father, please forgive our american churches, for they are teaching foolishness from their pulpits. Please open their eyes to the heresies they are proclaiming as truth. Please embolden those who preach Your truth in a contextual manner.

That person was attacking me for being correct about the Greek grammar on a verse while agreeing with me about it. It really was bizarre.

Agreed. 80% of them are reformed even in the Southern Baptist churches.

You do not like that I am not fitting into your preconceived formula. I'll say it again, I called out to God because I suddenly could see. All I know is I suddenly could see He was and I was struck with horror that I hadn't believed what I could now so obviously see was true.

I feel a little like that blind man they grilled and he just kept saying, all I know is he healed my eyes and why do you keep asking me how I see when I've told you He healed my eyes and now I can see!

Its as impossible to read him without seeing he knew God as it is to read john of the cross, Bernard, nouwen, Teresa of Avila or john Kelly and not plainly see they knew God. :)

so explain to me,

one poster said ad hominem attakcs were prevalent (he never said who was doing it, He did not blame calvanists,)

Another poster said she agreed, and said it happens alot, and one person (Inot saying what doctrine that person believes in) gets attacked from all sides (not just one side,) and added, that if a person was so convinced in their faith they would not need to resort to these attacks.

to whish I agreed as you said.

where is the attack against calvanists? where is the ad hominem attack of ANYONE?

No group at any time in either post was ever called out by name.

why would you assume something that was never said?

And am not trying to see anything by my preconceived notion. So please stop!
