Ok, that's a good point. But the difference between them and us is this. Their leaders and history were manmade. Our leaders and history began at the time of Christ. All our leaders and history teach us about is Christ. He doesn't go against us, nor we against Him. We follow His teachings. The Jews can't be compared to us in this way.

And we never said that the Bible is incomplete. But it is not the sole rule of faith! It's really as simple as that. It doesn't even claim to be, which if you are to go off sola scriptura, you would have to find where it says that, because all your beliefs come from It! Do you see my point? Please don't misinterpret my comment. I believe that the Bible is the most important thing in my faith, just not the ONLY important thing. St. Paul passed his traditions on to his followers, and asked them to stick to them, and praised them for doing so. Man, it's all in there.
To me Charlie and allreading here it is not the Bible or the words found in it that sets one free. It is the truth of the Bible and the words in it. And this is only found the truth through our comforter that God planted in us the first day of belief in his Son
Ephesians 1:13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 4:30And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Would you all fix the quote problem? I clicked on the last one by Homie, and I was directed to a post which did not even say what was quoted. Thanks :)

Ok, so we don't trust even our best friends now?
I am making a mistake by believing proven facts? OK, so you won't believe this meteorite that hit Russia a month ago. The news is lying, don't trust them!
I think I remember now why I dislike the word, "Christian." Please can you interpreted what you are trying to say to me? I trust His word also, it is my truth. You can't just disregard someone else because they are human (take into thought that I mean to not follow them spiritually.)

Our sin crucified Holy Yeshua. What you and I did on the internet, or at school or wherever, that is why he died. The Jews had to killed him (in literal sense) to fulfill prophecy. If he didn't die for our sins, we would be condemned.
Actually if he was not raised from the dead we would still be on our sins, oh wait a minute most are still because they have not finalized the cross that this is where we are forgiven and the forgiveness issue is over from the Father of Christ point of view time to move onto the resurrection and definately be free in him as what was and is intended by the cross, to first die to self here and now then be rasied back to life here and now by belief, read it Romans 6:1-11 and reckon this to be done to you as it was done to the Romans by belief or and read Galations chapter 1- 3 and see it is by Faith in what I just said that from God
and Christ you are made perfect because of the death and resurrection of Christ this is for you Follow him you all Follow him

Just because you have Christian friends, doesn't make you anymore righteous. Don't forget the word "Christian," is clearly undefined and used lightly! To be honest, I have non-christian friends and they are very nice compared to most of my "Christian," friends.
Yes there many Holy Rollers that think there______________ does not stink, and that is sad, and all I can do is love for the kindeness of God is meant
Romans 2:4Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Thank you Charlie, and I am no better than anyone else, only God himself is perfectand God I founf offers this perfection of him to the ones that believe through his Son Jesus Christ, if only we wll believe we will receive. Yes it is more than word for the word came to life Brother and I am not saying you are wrong, you are definately on the Journey and I am thankful to see this. I found that when I went through religion another denomination and learnt what I learnt I today count it as all Joy for I would not know what God was teaching me without that experience, so no regrets.
I learned to quit at being religous for me when I was in religion I was trying to please others and God by what I was doing and feeling guilty by what I was not doing. Then I heard this Howard do you really think that I am going to respond to you by what you are doing or not doing, by being right or wrong? Do you really think I will bless you more or less by your behavior?
I said yes of coarse and then I Heard this what I was doing was none other than the way of the world, I was continuing on after belief in positive and negative reinforcement trying to do good so I would be blessed and doing my best from being bad so I would not be damned or as in my thoughts at that time so that God would not turn his back in a swivel chair sayin I didn't know you were going to do that, or taking pepto-bismal that I must be making him sick to his stonmache giving God a Stomache-ache, but it sure was giving me one.
Then I heard this, if I (GOD) ever respond to you by what you are doing right or wrong, punishment or blessing I (GOD) would be a Liar. I told you that my Son Died for you once and for all. He took all punishment of sin out of the way so through him I(God) can give you life, for Sin caused death period and you were dead already in Sin before you came to beleif, and when you come to beleif it is to see your death becausae of Sin, and receive from my Son thedeath peanalty of Sin paid in full. That is when one comes to life a new life in my Spirit, I (GOD) place this new life in you right then as soon as oyu see this it is done Just as my Son said it and then gave up the Ghost and died for not only you Howard but for the whole world. I said okay Daddy, Father what then do I do?

I heard beconme a responder instead of an initiator, respond to me (GOD) trust me in all things, and oyu will see that I (GOD) am the initiator. THat I am the creation and that God is the creator and that everything that Jesus did was always pointing to God the creator. So that Day I decided to finalize the cross and beleive God I am forgiven even before I was ever born here on earth, back at the cross where the whole world has been forgiven by Christ's death, that is when I asked for new life in the Spirit of God being born again and this is what happened as I see this in you Charlie God shed his LOVE abroad in our hearts and this type of love is unnatural for mankind to have and shed abroad to all others forthe cup overfloweth as in 1 Cor 13 this is the type of LOVE that God desires for us all to have and spread abroad, since has no condemnation for us because of his Son at the cross we are to have no condemantion either, but because most not all do not beleive that they can be dead in the flesh here and now they as I did ride the fence, when they could start to believe reckon they are dead to sin by belief in God and what he did at the cross, and then come to life in him as
Romans 6:11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Next do you see that past tense Scripture below

Revelation 1:5and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,
In the Love of GOD to all reading this and will come to life
Brother I love this explanation and it makes alot of sense. But I must say, the word "religion" has gained somewhat of a bad reputation (if I may) lol When I follow the Law of God, I find that I naturally follow the teachings in the Catholic Church. So I see my religion (as a Catholic), as my faith in reality, because my faith lies completely in God and He has truly spoken to me and told me very clearly to listen to what I was being taught the night I asked Him. I don't know what lies ahead, brother. Like you said happened to you, QUOTE: " I found that when I went through religion another denomination and learnt what I learnt I today count it as all Joy for I would not know what God was teaching me without that experience, so no regrets." Brother, this could be my learning experience like it was to you, or it could be the Truth. I'm not closed minded to rule anything out. All I'm saying is, this is the path that God so clearly led me too, and I have found no fault in it yet (obviously, for I was led to it by the Almighty!! lol). But I can see your point, and it's very interesting and sounds like it has some truth in it. And God bless you for sharing it with me.

Just a couple of questions, brother, if you don't mind, that have been bugging me (not about you. You could never bug me lol). If I were to leave the Catholic Church and adopt this method of faith that you have so graciously shared with me, which Bible would you recommend I follow? Why would you recommend that particular Bible? And how would I be sure that it was the True and correct translation? And again, Howard, thankyou and God bless. My true brother in Christ!!!!

Um there leaders and history were Abraham Isaac and Jacob. Moses and Arron. all the prophets god gave them, and the words god put in scripture so they would know him and his ways.

they turned to leaders and history outside of Gods word. thats what got them in trouble.

they said the exact same thing to Christ and the apostles.. starting to see a pattern here??

the traditions peter spoke of were eventually placed in the word of God. so no one could question them.

Jesus used scripture alone as did the apostles when it came to the gospel (means of salvation)

we should follow their example.
Hey there again, brother. I didn't fall asleep behind the wheel, thank Christ!! lol
Brother, here you said the traditions peter spoke of were eventually placed in the word of God.

How do we know that the traditions he spoke of are placed in the Word of God? All he does is commend them for keeping his traditions and ask them to keep them. What the traditions were are not mentioned, are they? Or not all of them anyway. I'm probably wrong, but please correct me if I am and show me? Thanx, bro.

Traditions

Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, 2 “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat!”

3 Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’ 5 But you say that if a man says to his father and mother, ‘Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’ 6 he is not to ‘honor his father’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:

The traditions Christians should keep are the commandments and the teaching of Jesus. The Sermon on the Mount is a good example and neither should we forger the Last Supper.

Joh_14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Joh_15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

People often believe faith in God is completely personal but if you read the Bible, you'll find it regularly talks about faith as a community. There's too much emphasis on the individual. It's not healthy.
It is a personal relationship Christ being ones life and then share it at every opportunity as lead by Christ, thus fellowship. the way you just put it leads to purpose driven life where all his focus was on gathering and putting others first before Christ and most did not catch this as when he said in that book that we are meant to fellowship with one another not being alone. WOW!!!!! I responded with what about Joseph in Jail for how long 13 years alone, no he was never alone GOD was with him all the way and that is what we are made for to serve the living God by free choice not force ever think about ask God in yuor heart truth and be set free Brother Love you no offense meant in any way shape or form

Better the field of wheat than the field of tares.
but the tares need the you the wheat that he made you by belief to share in his Love to them for it is the tares that need the Doctor whom you have recveived

I f you read my posts previous you would know that I do not believe any doctrine of the Protestants or of the RCC..........I believe the Word, and I believe the teachings of Jesus Christ, Yeshua. If all did this, they would come together in Christ with no labels or man made rules and regulations. Here is a good example from someone I knew in Clifton Hill, Missouri. The difference between the Methodists and the Baptists is the Methodists believe the rainbow is God's promise never to destroy the world again, while the Baptists believe it is God's promise never to destroy the world again by flood. Now a simple study of the Word on the subject would clear all that up for her, but it is better to follow without questioning. Of course I do not read all of yours.
Okay do you believe that we are after the death of Christ under a new Covenant, a new Priesthood and a new Law?

Reread my post, you have your reply. And yes, we render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's.

About those tares, they were left in the field because ripping them out could have damaged the wheat. The tares were destined to be burned after being separated from the wheat at harvest. It is like separating the sheep from the goats.
Okay do you believe that we are after the death of Christ under a new Covenant, a new Priesthood and a new Law?

By "Here We Go Again" are you admitting these questions come up frequently? If so there is something seriously wrong with this faith of millions, do you not think so?
I know there is great misunderstanding in what Christ did at the cross and how deep it actually goes because after the death there is a resurrection awaitng us the believers here and now
Romans 5:10For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
Saved by the life death needed first (forgiven completely) in order to be born again thus we are to ask God for this new life here and now so we then by belief can:
Romans 6:11Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Of course! What I said though was not towards after the "change." The fact is, we are all born in error and no one is perfect. SO making a statement saying the Apostles were without error means they were perfect and had no need for a Savior.
That statement right there keeps one in sin and sin gets justified in the believer and reinforced through your flesh is not redeemed, and this is true that ones flesh is not redeemed, But in Goid the Father's view after belief in his Son's finished work, you are dead in the flesh and held alive in the Spirit of God just as it was the day of Pentecost all over again. Now as long as one has thoughts of the flesh as being alive sin revives through the Law and kills you making one feelguilty all over again and tries harder if you don't succeed the first time stand back up and try again get a little more forgiveness and you will be alright, All this does is keeps ones flesh alive and sowing to the flesh and all that does is reap corruption death instead of life
Galatians 6:7Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Galatians 6:8For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Sows is the same as thinks and reap is the results of what a man was thinking, so if one tries to stop sin even in prayer they will still reap flesh because that is what they thought about and emotions know no right or wrong they just predictably respond to waht ever the mind is sowing (thinking about) and the results are, well you know as well as the rest of the people know and have been doing this very same thing over and over until one comes to the end of the energy of their own flesh as I see others have and others on their way as you are and already there

It seems you have come to be quite a teacher. The word in Romans 6:11 is reckon or count oneself dead to sin. No one is dead to sin as long as he dwells in this worldly tent called the flesh. Do not believe me, go to Paul in Romans also, understand what he says about the sinful man that he is (all are wretched in the sight of our God.) We are reconciled, as in Psalm 32, because the guilt of our sin is no longer imputed to us. In the sight of the Father, I am made perfect because of the Blood of His Passover Lamb, thus I am passed over and excused from the curse of the law, that being the punishment or death. Now what are you adding to this or removing? What new light have you for the poor, ignorant one here? I should know, as I read teh Word continuously, and I know I do not know that much, and it has been steady since 1969.
I know there is great misunderstanding in what Christ did at the cross and how deep it actually goes because after the death there is a resurrection awaitng us the believers here and now
Romans 5:10For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

thank God you made it! And did not fall asleep!!

Let me ask you a question. do you think there are ANY TRADITIONS which pertain to a person receiving eternal life and spending eternity in heaven which were left out of the scripture?

Charlie Thank you again and I am not trying ot get you or anyone to see what I see, I am only exposing truth as God has shown me
I am going to share some experiences personal.
When I was 12 I got left behind at a campfire I was left behind to put out that fire and then meet the rest back at the cabin this was in Skylandia, Lake Tahoe a Church camp function it was the last night before going home the next day.
I put out that fire with sand and yes it was now dark and I then realized I had no flashlight and no coat, getting cold now and can barley see being a tough 12 year old a smart alec and a womanizer acing all cool all week, doing crazy things like making fun of others and now here I am lost about 1 to 2 miles in the dark and I am starting on the path back to the cabin, I trip fall into a hole twist my ankle and I started to pray, and the next thing I saw was the light at the cabin my hands and arms were out in front of me and dropping down as I saw the lights in the cabin, I ran into that cabin and apolgozed profusely to all that I had knowingly hurt and was so thankful to God for what he had done for me he was a light unto my path and I was healed no spranged ankle. I was 12 and what happened next was tragic, when i was 14 my Sister youngest Sister died at 18 on a overdose, I was devastated and did not understand, then when I was 17 my Dad died at 63 , of a lot of diseases that occured in him after Sue my Sister died. Then at 21 My oldest Brother John gave me on my Birthday 21 dollar bills and was living back home with us in Sacramento at the age of 33.
He had been working for Campus Crusade for Christ, all of his life he had been on fire for the Lord and at this time in his life he was distraught he had in the Hospital had a nervous breakdown, starting drinking and smoking I was bewildered, and wondering what had happened to my Legalistic Brother who was always so careful to do was right and if he saw you or anyone not following law he would be right there in there face. And now there was a big differance in him. Well Brother I was at this time in my life carrying on in the drunk and drug scene myself.
Now I came home one night late and saw the light on to my brothers room and the door part way open I peeked in and saw that he was asleep but I noticed all around him surrounding him was pictures of Christ sayings and all strategically placed around him, I was creeped out and yeah okay and walked away, this went on for another two nights. Then I saw him on a Wednesday and he was heading back for Campus Crusade for Christ, he wanted to say something to me and pulled back thinking and refrained from what he was going to say and said to me Howard all I can tell you is that all this drinking and smoking is not good, He did not say I had to quit as he would have done and had done in the past, he just said it is not good. I yeah okay as no big deal.
Well the next thing that came to be was that he was found dead on Campus Crusade for Christ two miles above the Sanctuary leaned against a Boulder with a Bilbe in his hand, he was found by Hikers
Now it came to pass that from the autopsy report that there was no physical cause of death, the only thing they got out of the Autopsy was the he died on Thursday might found on Sunday morning.
Now this convinced me that Christ is real and alive no doubt and here I am today been being peeled like an onion and have today been peeled all the way to the center and Brother it is sweet, this unconditional love of God is what changed me as I see in you too. So here is what I have seen a waste of life via drugs my Sisters death, but have learned to use it to help others see this and leave the drugs and alcohol by there free choice as I also chose as well to do freely not by Law, because by Law it kept me trapped in it. Secondly I learned from Dad dieing at an early age 63 what stinking thinkng does to a person and by that guilt placed on him over Sues his daughters death actually is what killed him, him thinking bad thoughts caused his sicknesses unto an early death. Finally my Brother John's death at 33 was Wow!!!! when I heard this from my other Sister that John told her before going off and dieing he said Gretchen all my life I have been trying to please Mom and Dad and God by what I was doing and just never could attain it. Today he said to her GOD JUST LOVE ME. And so today as God has been growing as well as you i by God's grace one year ago God through me came up with the blogger at www.godjustloveyou.blogspot.com First as you already have said you have had your epithany that God is 100% real as I have had too, no matter wheree you go or what you do he is there with you to teach you and just love you, and by this you will learn truth the truth that sets you free in him as you already are.
The Bible I read while in the USMC was The Living Bible Pharaphrased. It was excellent for me and in easy to read language, I read the King James verson and the New living translation, along with many others.
Bottom line I have read for self to tell others they are wrong and I am right and as I grew in understanding and wisdom those reasons were completely the worng Motive. So my Motive changed to the following quote God Speaking here

"Comfort Me by letting Me know that you would see Me just to dwell in My Presence. Not for teaching, not for material gain, not even for a message, but for Me. The longing of the human heart to be loved for itself is something caught from the Great Divine Heart."

and I learned these following quotes:
Lesson your judgement of others. You never see the whole picture. Never.
there are 1,000 reasons a person can behave a particular way. You don't know what is going on in their movie that motivates them to act in that way. You never know how you'd behave if you were in their shoes. Today little by little, learn to be more forgiving. Learn to where you can come from a place of help, rather than Judgement.

Judgements are only based on what one sees, from their owns thoughts. From their own experiences. There is truly only one that knows all. that one would be and is the creator of all.
If one learns to listen to the creator as Jesus Christ revealed to all mankind. (He taught us, to do nothing or say nothing w/o Father's instruction first and foremost), we would make the right judgements, with out condemnation. ( coming from the one listening)
The ones that argued would reveal their true selves, as was done in the day of visitation from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Steer clear from arguements, seek the truth in all things and one shall be free from the world and it's traps.
A man must learn to understand the motives of human beings, their illusions, and their sufferings.
Brother you are already there in Christ, and in Christ you are made perfect in God from God's perspective because of his Son Christ. Without this without the resurrection we would all still be in our sins and faith would be void but Christ is alive raised and is our high Priest forever and will never die again and neither wil his believers. read the latest two posts at he blogger or as many as might be led to if led at all
In love Howard Schultz

Hey there again, brother. I didn't fall asleep behind the wheel, thank Christ!! lol
Brother, here you said the traditions peter spoke of were eventually placed in the word of God.

How do we know that the traditions he spoke of are placed in the Word of God? All he does is commend them for keeping his traditions and ask them to keep them. What the traditions were are not mentioned, are they? Or not all of them anyway. I'm probably wrong, but please correct me if I am and show me? Thanx, bro.
Hope this helps but better to read starting at the beginning For Peter is talking about the change and where is derives from and is in 1Peter 1:17- 21
[SUP]17 [/SUP]And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; [SUP]18 [/SUP]knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, [SUP]19 [/SUP]but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. [SUP]20 [/SUP]He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you [SUP]21 [/SUP]who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
[h=3]1 Peter 2[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

2 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, [SUP]2 [/SUP]as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,[SUP][a][/SUP] [SUP]3 [/SUP]if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
[h=3]The Chosen Stone and His Chosen People[/h][SUP]4 [/SUP]Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, [SUP]5 [/SUP]you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. [SUP]6 [/SUP]Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,
“Behold, I lay in Zion
A chief cornerstone, elect, precious,
And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”[SUP][b][/SUP]

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient,[SUP][c][/SUP]
“The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone,”[SUP][d][/SUP]

[SUP]8 [/SUP]and
“A stone of stumbling
And a rock of offense.”[SUP][e][/SUP]

They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; [SUP]10 [/SUP]who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Tell me what have anyone of us ever done to desrve this MERCY and how can anyone one of us retain it or lose it it is a free gift and that is the new tradition is to put ones trust 100% in the LORD and receive the love as a lot have as in 1 cor 13, that is unnatural for man to receive which is why we are to renew our minds as Peter so well shows he did telling us so being raised from the dead as Christ was and is raised from the dead by the opreration of God the Father of Christ beind anew by Faith in the operation of God 100% belief no buts no doubts just as the woman that had a menstrual problem for many years and knew all she had to do was at least touch his garment and she did and was healed she had not doubt and Christ confirmed this, so Brothers and Sisters have no doubt in Christ that he did it all for you it is a gift of Mercy to be received and then you will do as Father leads, no more fear for this perfect love casts out all fear and you are born again in him

You have been transferrd from death to life and your post says this, but apparently you might be pinching your self saying I am alive in flesh and blood though. Well Brother let me say this when Pentecost happened to the disciples were they alive in flesh and blood or were they dead to flesh and blood alive to the Spirit?
And what about I am crucified never the less I live, you see brother this is for you too here and now, but is is not you it is Christ living through you go past the stage brother of being a continuous sinner and be transformed in the renewing of your mind as what you are called to be here and now seeing from God's vantage point, it is an exchanged life for the life of Christ. This is what Paul was trying to explain to us all as believers we are anew in God the love of God found in 1 Cor. 13 spread abroad in our hearts
and as far as Romans chapter 7 goes it ends with who will save me from this evil well brother it is Christ by you exchanging your life for his leaving that carnal nature dead and being made alive by Christ the belief in him and his finished work no longer trying to do good in and of self for that is What Romans seven is all about to show us we need the Savior and the Saviors finished work we are to trust that he did take care of it all it is done by him, now since I have trusted that and today believe that my focus has been not on trying to attain the Spirit but on having the Spirit and being so busy and thankful that the old sin nature in essence is dead. Now this does not mean that there is no way that it can ever raise its ugly head and deceive me, that is why we are called to live for today and not worry about tommorrow. There is enough attacks in the present day so stay in today trusting to have all thought taken captive and it will be all taken captive by the hidden man of your heart where one serves God 100% complete all by trust in the finished work and being under the new covenant of Love
God loves us all this much that he did this for our freedom how can one ever respond badly to this
