It happens before, but you are going to be getting a lot of arguments here.

I am a pretriber, mid trib does have some support, But the man of perdition is not revealed until the church is out of the way. Post trib makes absolutely no sense at all and want waste time debating it.

I'm not sure where I stand on this issue...but I'm not gonna lose sleep over it. All that matters is that we're another day close to the return of Christ.

It’s not really what you believe boys it’s what you can show from scripture

What you believe doesn’t really count unless you can show it from the Bible.

Some Christians believe all sorts of rubbish but it doesn’t make it SO

Not seeing the word "rapture" in my Bible. Perhaps you could point out the passage. I will argue back using the Greek, so be prepared!!!

No rapture! Christ returns once. (OK I gave away my position!)

The scripture shows that the rapture will occur before the tribulation.

Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. One cannot stand before the Son of man while they are on earth.
The only way to escape is believe in the Lord Jesus now so one can be part of His raptured bride.

Rev 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

The imminence of the rapture supports a pre-tribulation view:
Matt 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Matt 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
The rapture will catch people unaware like the flood in the days of Noah.
Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Rapture technically is in the Bible...but not in the English term "Rapture" itself. The concept is, though. It comes from the Latin word "rapturo" which translated into Greek means "Harpazo"...translated again into English meaning "to be swept up, taken up..." anything along those lines. For example, Enoch and Elijah were both raptured. The debate just lies in the technicalities of WHO is Raptured and WHEN and IF there is one before or after Christ's return. As I said earlier, I don't really have too much of an opinion because there are biblical arguments for all theories and people often manipulate the Scriptures to fit THEIR point of view and take them out of context. I'm just looking forward to the return of Christ in general.

Mathew 24:40 This is how it will be at the coming of the son of man; Two men will be working in the field; One will be taken the other left. Two woman will be grinding with a hand mill; One will be taken and the other left

We are in a general tribulation now, Thee "great tribulation" is a reference to the destruction of 1st Century Jerusalem and Roman epic Caesar cult that 1st century Christians found themselves in, which is what John in Revelation 1 was talking about. This general tribulation existed since the fall of man, in which Satan and His minions tried and try to disrupt the plans of God.

There will be a time when all who in the grave will raise again, some to eternal life and some to eternal condemnation.

John 5
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice [SUP]29 [/SUP]and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.

One general resurrection too. Not two or three resurrections where some are raised now, then at the end of the 7 (so called ) tribulation, and at the end of 1000 yrs. Heh, lets get real

Better to flip through the pages of the scripture to find the answer.
Here is the perfect response. I've spent 28 years in different churches, listening to different speakers, reading different ideas. Very few actually agree to the letter on what will happen, and everyone has some kind of scriptural back up for their stance. I finally decided I would cut through the garbage, and get on my own in scripture and find my own answer. God has given me peace with that, and with the answer I believe I found. Search scriptures, pray, ask God.

But i never said it was going to I said i believed it would, even if i was wrong i would rather have hope and be wrong than have no hope and be right. I may have been wrong but during that time i was so happy and full of hope, I told Jesus over and over how dearly i loved him. Mock me if you want but I rather enjoyed how god and i connected during those times

No, you had a dream or vision bro... It just proves what I've been telling you all along, that dreams and visions are unreliable and always need to be checked to the Word of God. BTW, everyday I live in the expectation that the Lord can come. I also live in the spirit of His resurrection. But don't you have to wait for a temple to be rebuilt?

I'm not mocking your faith or love for God bro, just your theology and method of receiving it...

I had a dream of it yes but it never gave an exact time for it. Only that time is up, God's view of time is far different than ours

...after removing all pre-conceived notions that we have been taught and exposed to -- so that our perception and understanding of what scripture is actually telling us is not "skewed"...

'What does it say?' before 'What does it mean?'
