This is what i'm confused about. Lucifer can't create something from nothing right? So where does his evilness come from? He was in heaven with God and God made him the most powerful and beautiful angel. He could feel the love of God all day. He was surrounded by holiness. Why would he just decide to go against God? The only way I see it is Lucifer was made with an evil side in him.

I'm sorry I didn't respond earlier. I didn't realize you posted. How could Lucifer do things outside of his God given abilities? How did Lucifer become evil? Did he create evil? Or did God put an evil side in Lucifer and give him free will whether to act upon it or not?
Lucifer means light, so obviously at one time he was light, good, etc. What happened? IDK. I honestly don't study up on him.

I kind of think his evilness comes from the same place ours does -- self. Once we become absorbed with self, there is little room for God or others.

I have not read about Jonah yet so idk.
You know how the books with the Law in it take forever, because we're busy trying to figure out how the Law works? And you know how Proverbs and Psalms are tough, because it takes a lot of effort to figure out how that works and how to apply it to ourselves? And then the NT is full of stuff about God that we have to work out and think over?

Unlike all those books, Jonah is simply the story of a guy God used to bring revival. Not much thought required. AND it's short. (Also probably why I like that book the best. lol) Easy read.

Three fathers were talking about their Sons
The first said I called my Son Andrew because he was born on St Andrew's Day
The second said I called mine Patrick because he was born on St Patrick's day
The third said My Son was born on Pancake day

My name apparently means Shire Meadow.

Strangly I have had several dreams about fields/meadows walking with Jesus up a valley,
chatting to Jesus in a field.

Its assumed he called his Son Pancake. Having to explain it though takes away the whole humour element from it.

So this would mean God created Lucifer with an ability to become self-absorbed/proud, right? I don't see it any other way.
