I can't believe anyone would think I'd actually make noodles from scratch, when I can go and buy noodles for 60 cents a packet. Maybe I shoulda phrased it better?... oh man.

Darlene, idk if the stores near you have it, but i use Lundberg's parmesan risotto
for that casserole.
Amazon carries it, in 6 or 12 packs.

when i do it for these hungry ppl, i use 3 boxes of risotto and 2 pounds of ground beef...

not sure how much your husband eats, so hope that helps give you some idea??
(i'm sure our horrible son will eat any leftovers you may have... :) )

My wife grew up on Macaroni and Cheese. There is an Italian Restaurant where I live that makes a very delicious Macaroni and Cheese dinner! It's not your typical Macaroni and Cheese dinner and they even add chicken to it. Delicious!

So my question going out to all is
WHAT PREPARATIONS ARE YOU DOING TO GET READY FOR THE HOLIDAYS?

I've been cooking....o.k. not the food kind of cooking but the Christmas kind of cooking as in moving very fast and getting gifts wrapped getting ready to go to my first ever Christmas event at my new family the Nichols festivities on December 20th. I really look forward to getting together again with this new clan of people that are now called family and getting a chance to get to know them better.

This week I am going to be making candy - Buckeyes and Coconut Chocolate Balls. That will also make it to the family festivities this weekend.

I know it gets busy and hectic at this time of year but I just love it and I really get into all of it - the food, the fun, the family and I believe I have more fun giving than receiving but the gifts are fun too. Then there are the music programs at church and all the beautiful church programs and get togethers I just love it all. I am so very thankful too that Jesus was born and came to save us from our sins and before anyone tells me He was not born on December 25 I know that already but the fact is He was born and I am abundantly grateful for His birth, death and resurrection that saves me from sin.

So please chime in to What's Cooking? And let me know your plans for the holidays and family functions etc....

so they can do everything else. (i am a genius! lol)

i hope to put perfectionism on the (way, way) back burner, and enjoy celebrating
the First Advent of the Lord Jesus. ♥
