This thread is unbelievably sad. Heaven is about Christ and his glory, not to gratify our earthly pleasures. Church service is a glimpse of the joy of heaven, together worshipping and fellowshipping in the Lord. If heaven is about having fun with video games, I'd rather give it up.
Just to to sit at the feet of Christ for all eternity is far better than what you said. We won't be focused on loved ones, pets, or anything of this world, but on the beauty of God's holiness on grand display, what more could you ask? If he isn't our deepest joy, our grandest thought, our ever-increasing happiness, we need to know him better. When you go to the Grand Canyon do you do anything other than be enthralled at the sight? I don't often quote John Piper, but, "...we were made to experience full and lasting happiness from seeing and savoring the glory of God. If our best joy comes from something less, we are idolaters and God is dishonored. He created us in such a way that his glory is displayed through our joy in it. The gospel of Christ is the good news that at the cost of his Son's life, God has done everything necessary to enthrall us with what will make us eternally and ever-increasingly happy, namely, himself."
If God loves his glory more than anything, then how much should we be in love with it? He saved us to share in what makes him happy, and video games aren't even on that list.
Our view of God in this day and age needs to be recovered.
