In one word, the answer is NO, but that would leave the ignorant, ignorant.
The disciples of Jesus called Him Yeshua, they spoke a form of Hebrew/Aramaic, their faith was based on the language of Israel,no other language was used for worship, etc.
The angel told Mary and Joseph to name the child Jesus for He was to save His people.
Now this makes no sense at allunless you look into the name, Jesus. Jesus is the tranlsliteration of the Latin, Yesu, which in turn is the transliteration from the Greek, iesous, which is finally the transliteration from the Hebrew, Yeshua.
It stillmakes no sense unless you Translate His name into modern language. Yeshua may be translated as saying "The Salvation of Yah or Yahweh."
So now we know why the angel connected the name Jesus to Saving His people, unless you have rejected this knowledge before understanding it.
When person calls our Salvation, Jesus, Yeshua, Iesous, Yesus, etc. with the understanding of what His name translates as, then His name is being used in spirit and truth, howver if he is teaching others to use any name, including Yeshua, rote with no understanding, his teaching is false, and in vain.
In the name Salvation of Yh (God), may all be blessed and holy, amen.....
PS...this understanding gives all kinds of depth to the prophet Joel's when he said by the Holy Spirit, "It shall be in that day that whosoever shall call upon the nam eof the Lord will be saved."
Just think what grace, love and power is in those words in light of understanding what thename, Jesus, really means.
If you knew about the name Yahweh, you would also be singing another joyous song of praise....amen
