Here are more blessings from understanding the Word, after all this is a forum to discuss the Bible.......
Adam was called such because he was created from the earth. Adam means earth , dirt or dust.
The root of this word is used for the color red, dam or dam dam meaning bright red.
This is also the root fo teh word meaning blood.
Israel means ruler with God or Prince with God.
Now understanding the meaning fully of these two simple words multiplies blessing in understanding the Word of God.
If I call God El, elohanu, Elah, Elohim, Yahweh, El Eyon, El Shaddai, and so much more, it is not a sin, nor is it having disdain for any who are rigid in calling Him only God. It is odd that people will accept a term taken originall from San skrit as the name of our Maker or the proper term for Him. The word, god, is traced back to Sansdrit, but it is not know exactly where it came from before that.
All this understood, it is with great difficulty I am able to accept all a person has to teach others when that teacher is not even aware of part of the above.
I am comfortable calling Elohanu, God, just as I am comfortable with calling Yeshua Jesus,, after allI use Jesus and God almost always, except in prayer, and then I use all of His names depending upon how I am expressing myself. This has no bearing on your faith or the faith of others, but, when I share what is true, it behooves all to measure any reponses to me or others who share the same knowledge, for this stems from a desire to not only be ignorant but to promugate ignorance, and this is not light, it is darness.
