EleventhHour,

“Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear”. 1 TIMOTHY 5:20

This implies that there are those who do not sin, that are able to admonish those that do sin.

How can a sinner rebuke a sinner? Does this not fly in the face of the words of our Lord that taught we should “first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then should thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye” MATTHEW 7:5?
That is not what it means at all.
He is obviously speaking to known observable sin.
Not all sin is observable.

Not good how you take things out of context.... smh

24 The sins of some are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them. 25 In the same way, good deeds are obvious, and even those that are not obvious cannot remain hidden forever.

Matthew 22:14 King James Version (KJV)

“For many are called, but few are chosen.”

Matthew 7:13-14 King James Version (KJV)

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

EleventhHour,

So, as long as a believer keeps his sins secret, it is okay for them to rebuke other believers who’s sins get exposed? Really?

Jesus Christ our Lord had some choice words for people like this:

“Woe unto you...hypocrites! For ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.” MATTHEW 23:27.

Hello Micaiah-imla (et @EleventhHour), I hope you two don't mind me jumping in here as I'd like to make a comment or two.

Yes, we all sin (as @EleventhHour has already pointed out in reply to your post), but we are, nevertheless, commanded by God to be our brother's keeper in this world (even though we are all sinners), both for each other's good/well-being in Christ, as well for the good of the body of Christ as a whole .. e.g. Matthew 18:15-18; Luke 17:3-4; Galatians 6:1.

As the Lord also tells us:

John 7
24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.

The reason that (we who are sinners) can admonish other sinners is because of the fact that we do so by necessity, both lovingly, and according to the truth that is found in God's word. This, in fact, is the means that God (typically) uses to admonish, discipline and sanctify us (His word .. e.g. John 17:17), so we are to both obey His commands concerning the discipline of a wayward brother or sister, as well follow His example in our admonishment of them.

The other thing is this, yes, we are all sinners, but we are also sinners who are normally grieved by our sin (and we ask God to forgive us and repent of them because we are). On the other hand, we sometimes have brothers and sisters among us who have fallen into sin/willfully continue in sin and will not repent or seek forgiveness. These are the ones who we are commanded in the Bible to admonish and discipline, the ones for whom Biblical church discipline was, in fact, created.

Deuteronomy,

I appreciate that well written response. Though I am not entirely in agreement with you, the spirit of love, patience, and temperance comes through in your post, which gives me pause. Thank you for that!

Can I ask a question to all? Why did you post here? Well who ever this is never replayed. Since its a lie not based on Gods word. Since NO Books have been open and its something God would never tell anyone (we should know that).

Christ said I came to give you? LIFE! Even though I can see the "wide/narrow" road as others do about salvation. Yet I always take it as He talking about this life. In Matt right after this He talks about what? "False prophets".

We still tell people this today "being a Christian is NOT a easy road." Suffering, persecution" on and on.

See we tend to only see SELF 1st. We share and how does it come across? Its our personal view of GODS word. Were replying to some post that someone made that has not seen God, does not know God. Never seen the BOOKS He writes in. Does not know from the statment made that God sees the heart. A statement like this is a lie.

This is what always gets me..does it not you? Well WHO has the right truth? I can list group after group and denominations, one after the other. PLEASE tell me ..which one is really of GOD? We reply to posts almost every day to someone that KNOWS they are right and if we do not listen obey what they personal say about God.. then we are the ones in error.

Satan and all his angels knew God. God created them. They seen God in all His glory and power. This fall happen, would seem before the world was made. Then man.. all man knows is sin. Take two babies and we will see the true nature play out at some point :) Yet they are innocent. All we know seen hear feel is sin. Pain suffering darkness. Shall I give a list of all the MOVIES we have made in just ONE year? The horrors we show each other. Ever love to SCARE your friend?

My point is.. there is no salvation for Satan and his angels. They knew God. There is nothing they want to come back to. Now us? We don't know Him.. never seen Him. His power? Glory? On and on. We truly know nothing. Yet.. we get told .. were are burning in (forgive me Father) hell being tormented by demons and Satan. The ones that did all this, started all this. The one that SIN was found in. They get to roam free...not burn.. but man burns suffers? Because what? Because I didn't listen to that Pope? Sorry I mean Father so and so? Sorry..should say Pastor Bob? Sorry again.. that street Preacher? Sorry wow.. or that JW (my aunt). Man..sorry.. or that Mormon? Shall I keep going? Ever talk to any of these people? Many truly know believe with love they are right. And us Christians .. duh were right.. Those Jewish people? You know GODS people? DUH we know they are in error.. they wrong! WERE Saved.. they don't believe in JESUS. SO they are lost! pfffft

God knows none of this? God some how thinks I should have seen the REAL JESUS? I think some times THIS is what He ALSO meant by "in the last days many will say "I am He, the Christ". MANY of them tell us.. they have the REAL truth the real Jesus. Do they not?

LOL so all this to say.. when man tells me most will be lost. So easy to see .. that is not my Father talking.

You must be the older brother and who's twice as bad at math. And going to the same place as the rest of us. Did that ever dawn on you?

Well according to mainstream Christianity with your pick of denominations everyone is going there including those pesky lukewarm, sinning Christians, don't you get excited about all of gods creation burning there like marshmallows for all eternity?

Yes, this is correct, and we all deserve it too because we all transgressed a perfect God and our generation and our wicked parents' generation threw his perfect ways behind their backs and forgot about him. Nevertheless, may God's Kingdom reign forever and God's will be accomplished.

If that were true about mainstream Christianity then every Christian dreaming of heaven would be deluding themselves. I don't recall that in the bible.

I know that only God and Jesus know the percentage of those who will be saved. In Revelation 14:1 "There before me was the Lamb, ..., and with him 144,000 who had his name and his father's name written on their foreheads". In Revelation 14:3 " no one could learn the song except for the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth". The Bible says, in John 3:16 "... whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life". Never say someone will go to hell. You don't know. God knows their beliefs, and their heart.
We really don't want to try to limit God a few words down further in Revelation chapter 7 verse:

9After this I looked and saw a multitude too large to count, from every nation and tribe and people and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”…

There will be a multitude of people praising God in heaven and thankful for the salvation that He has provided - Even many of us in CC will be there so you can forget the .01% of saved people in heaven there will be multitudes saved.

No same 99.9%... but that doesn't add up does it, unless that means no men are going to make it?

Those nasty men! :D
99.9% means only one in one thousand will make it! Wonder how many thousand are on CC? Not very many will make it!?????
