the biggest problem today, IMO, is the fact that people think they are free to interpret scripture according to their own inclinations and they believe they must be right or God would not allow them to exercise that option
those inclined to allow their heads to become big, believe God has called them to a prophetic ministry in which they will talk and condemn like an OT prophet
HOWEVER, they never ever seem to remember that no matter how condemnatory any prophecy that actually was of God, there was always the hope at the end of it, that if those under judgement would just turn back to God, He would again show favor and bless them
I wish people would stop responding to this snake in the grass who thinks God cannot keep those who are His
discernment goes a long way when considering whether or not ANY words are from God
we seem to be living in a 'Christian' minefield in this day and age
be twice cautious and do not give your freedom in Christ away to anyone

Yes, exactly. This time around most professing Christians haven't a clue of God's plan of salvation. Everyone thinks they have it already. Christ is just choosing a few here and there to accomplish His will. The rest just stumble in the darkness introduced by antichrist in the fourth century. According to Rev. 20:4,5: God is going to resurrect all the remaining people to their mortal states. That is when they will have their chance. In the Great White Throne Judgment (a little season that Satan will be released).
This is another error that "anyone" will be tortured forever in flames. The scriptures seemingly showing that are speaking of memorials of their destruction. Do we serve a sadistic God? No, the wages of sin is death. God is purging His universe of evil. When all is said and done, death and hell (the grave) will also be eliminated (see Rev. 20:14). I clearly had far too little to do, and was pondering the title of this thread.
It occurred to me... the self-proclaimed "prophet" clearly doesn't spend any time around unbelievers, doesn't know they exist, and therefore hasn't a hot clue that it is they who are the "many" and Christians who are the "few".
In other words, he needs to get out more. I suggest we help with that by extending the left foot of fellowship.

I was being hyperbolic and sarcastic, how mainstream Christianity get's literally pardon my french "Hell Boner's" about God's creation suffering for all eternity. They salivate at the mouth for it, so they can feel special about being God's elect. They love throwing out the grace verses too, no I'm a very humble person just god decided to choose me, which would make 99.99% of people feel entitled / special.
Forgot about logical reasoning when with so much burning desire to see one of their fellow God's children rotting in Hell. Somehow God's spirit has to be in Hell itself to sustain their consciousness, so basically he has to be in Hell himself. And I guess his final promise of a new creation goes unfulfilled, because well Hell everlasting and never ending. Yeah let's also ignore the 2nd death verses they obviously mean Hell, being thrown into another more severe Hell forever and ever Amen.
You have to be slightly sick to not use logical reasoning with an all loving just god. I was between the fence and still slightly am, but every time the eternal hell faction shows up with their bloodlust and hatred to condemn people like grass, just makes me look the other way. Plus even with the limited knowledge god has given us makes absolutely 0 sense.
