“Suppose a man has intercourse with a young woman who is a virgin but is not engaged to be married. If they are discovered, he must pay her father fifty pieces of silver." Deuteronomy 22:28..... The key there is, don't get caught.
The next time I'm stumped with a sex question from the Bible at least I know where I can go for answers.

what is the point? That is not the point " not to get caught."

The only reason why Divorce was allowed BY Moses, Jesus said, was the hardness of the heart. And given the reason for divorce was sexual sin and adultery. This is reason why We have moral law

Then Civil law and ceremonial law. We cannot mix all three together. That is what Pharisees did to control the people, yet they were not MORAL. They had issues with the heart. As Jesus said.

God said do "not commit adultery. "

Very simple, but because the heart of man creates wicked ways to manipulate the laws of God, the What id tribe came about and those who did things that were not written, but man should have known it was not godly to do them.

Why did God have to say don't sleep with animals? Why did you not have to say if you are an old man and sleep with a younger woman and took her by force, you have to pay?

Laws to control Sin or the heart of the man. The 10 Commandments did not, and the 613 laws after them did not stop sin or the devices created in the heart of sinful man.

Jesus is the only answer.

The law is clear, it's only an issue if you get caught.

Never go to anyone who says, if you're single and just think about sex you have sinned.

I've always hate when Christians bashed singles over fornication. They had one message.....forincation is a sin. I think they should talk about the real life effects of fornications. Tell the men, if she gets pregnant, you will be paying child support for at least 18 years. It will also affect all future relationships. To the woman, you will now have child connecting the both of you for life. If either one of you gets an STD, it could be for life. Try dating again after getting an STD. Stop with the repeating message of "It's a sin" and talk about the real life situations.

so if you fornicate a few times, you don't inherit eternal life?
It's a good question, John... IDK?

I think that it's a "heart" thing... do you have the heart of a fornicator?
Are you taking advantage of God's Grace and Mercy to sin willfully?

It's between you and God, John... but that is what the Scriptures say, right? You know it!

No sir,

God sees all, that is the problem, and why Jesus said the issue is one's adulterous heart.

HUH? talk about turning verses on their heads. You took sex completely out of the Song of Solomon.
No I didn't.
Song of Solomon describes in detail many activities a husband and wife can engage in when having physical intimacy.

But you are over emphasizing physical intimacy and making it primary over the real intimacy. Which is what the entire chorus of members here are trying to get through to you about while you are stubbornly holding on to a very very shallow understanding about marriage and intimacy. We ALL are trying to explain that there's a LOT more to be had out of a relationship with a spouse other than sex. And that sex is a very small part of marriage. Sure, sex has an emotional and spiritual component to engaging in it....but it's still the afterthought rather than the main thing that exists between a husband and wife.

For men a big part of that is physical contact. "That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. " Genesis 2:24 .

Have you fornicated? Just wondering. Bible says to flee fornication.
Not sure exactly how people get delivered if its happening IN the church, but you would really NOT want not go to a church where you are getting preyed on.

This happened even in the early church where someone went with his fathers wife in Corinth...obviously they could not get married. Fornicators could at least marry each other if both were unmarried so they could just keep their fornication to themselves and noone else. i.e make each other honest woman/men and have legit children.

Adultery is different because it tears apart existing marriages.

when you become a christian you learn self control its one of the fruits of the holy spirit and Jesus will lead you away from temptation if you continue to follow Him. That way is deliberately narrow.

Mary Magadalene was forgiven much and became devoted to Jesus. She had seven devils cast out of her, possibly she had gone with seven men prior to meeting Jesus who knows, but demons CAN enter the body via sexual intercourse. (seducing spirits) not to mention stds etc. Did she continue in sin. No.

God has a lot of mercy for those who repent but not to say the way is hard, marriage will not always be easy for those who havent kept their bodies chaste. And even in marriage there will be times when couples are tempted away from other so its not as if marriage is the cure all, but it is a vow and a yoke.

As far as fornication, Jesus and Paul were clear the answer was marriage. Why won't the church push this as the answer to fornication?

It's not that big a part of it. You are making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I "need" to talk to my wife every day. I don't "need" sex with her every day.

But even if I can't talk with her every day we are still "one flesh".
And until you really give up your notion of sex being the "end all, be all" of marriage....you are not going to experience a happy marriage.
Thats all there is to it.

Your spouse is a person...full of hopes, dreams, feelings, thoughts, and feelings. And unless you have intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intimacy with her you cannot have a successful marriage.
You have two people cohabitating using each other as a masterbatory aide without the intimacy I have been explaining.

Good for you, for some it is a big part of the marriage. I've heard some Christians say mastebation is a sin, because you're thinking of sex. It isn't a sin.

I'm gonna start calling you the sex answer man (SAM). You should write a book about sex for Christians. You might make a lot of money and attract an actual wife, rather than an imaginary one.
