Where does it say that the pot of manna represents Israel's rebellion against God?

Moses said, "This is what the Lord has commanded: 'Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt.'" Exodus 16:32
I don’t think that was the intention Magenta. The manna is the honey bread, the sweetness of communion with Him. Eating of His body, drinking of His blood.

@Guojing said all three represent Israel's rebellion against God. Do they, or do they not? I showed not.

PS~ So lovely to see you posting once again!

Thanks Magenta. Is good to be home again. 😉

I just think he needs to explain what he meant. For me it has to do with their complaint. Did they not grow tired of it?

We’re you in the world as a born again?...did you wander off?
I sure did, for a long while.

It wasn't because I wanted to sin etc.

I was an emotionally damaged person as a result of my past and future damaged by so called Christians when seeking help.

I never lost my faith in Jesus but the church (I even led a very successful youth ministry) I became very spiritually tired, sought help and was refused because I stopped doing that ministry.

Very sad that Christians shoot their wounded rather than tend to them.

As shocking as it sounds during my wilderness period I asked God to kill me so I knew where I was going, even though I had a wife and 4 children I knew he would care for them. I was living hell on earth.

Anyway I am here, Jesus never let me go, sought me out and carried me back when the time was right.

I genuinely believe that a believer in the wilderness will not be happy.

Rob Bowman has a complete set of Scriptural reasons for the subpoints of the Trinity doctrine here:

http://bib.irr.org/biblical-basis-o...2XWq1YXRAfRgBJ1F_KupvTOtzrGdC-KiOk_lXfJ3IKevI

There is one God.
This one God is the single divine being known in the OT as Jehovah or Yahweh (“the LORD”).
The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is God.
The Son, Jesus Christ, is God.
The Holy Spirit is God.
The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are each someone distinct from the other two.
Conclusion: The Bible teaches the Trinity.
What difference does the doctrine of the Trinity make?

Using his Scripture proofs, you can easily defend the Trinity against heretical views of God's nature.

For instance, Oneness people deny this point: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are each someone distinct from the other two.

Like I have said, heretical groups also distort church history to justify their claims and to support their boogeyman narrative of Constantine or the Roman Catholic church. The RC Church has doctrinal errors but the Trinity is not one of them.

God helps us overcome our flesh.....I always go to God in prayer......we are led by the Holy Spirit, who works in and through us...what is the purpose of becoming born again?........

You do nothing in your own strength..you will fail miserably.......we follow God...end of...nothing more to add.

May I add
1And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.[a] 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.

God’s Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit
6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”[b]—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
So as you see Paul clearly says we can't get to the Spirit
while we are still in the flesh. In another place Paul says that once
the Spirit ignites us we become a new creation. To get there you need to
make yourself a promise. Not to start unless you are totally commited
to the journey. For example, we need to surrender ourselves completely
to God. That means you no longer have a will of your own. You must
give God all of yourself, nothing else will do. That is the sticky part in the
beginning, the flesh pulls at you but if you want to persevere, and keep
going to the most beautiful paradise ever. You become one in God and
God is in you. words become as useless babble because the Spirit communicates
on a holy level. It takes a strong prayer routine. That does not mean petition prayer
although later on you can continue it. To begin though, read nine or ten lines of
scripture, just opening the bible at any place. then close the bible and be still
try not to think about useless things just try to hear the Spirit in His Awesome joy.
It's going to take a while but if you are in, be in it forever and there is no more
beautiful journey on earth. Might even make you tremble once in a while, smiles.

Moses said, "This is what the Lord has commanded: 'Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt.'" Exodus 16:32
Numbers 11

4 And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:

6 But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.

7 And the manna was as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the colour of bdellium.

8 And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.

9 And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.

10 Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the Lord was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.

So? Those verses do not at all say what you claimed, that the pot of manna represents Israel's rebellion against God.

Moses said, "This is what the Lord has commanded: 'Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt.'" Exodus 16:32

Numbers 11:6 had them complaining to Moses about not having meat to eat, they only have mana.

So if the 10 commandments represents Israel's rebellion against God's laws, Aaron's rod represents Israel's rebellion against God's appointed leadership (Numbers 16-17), the pot of mana represents Israel's rebellion against God's provision.

You should read until verse 10, to understand why it was viewed as that.

Do you agree that the stone tablets and Aaron's rod does represent Israel's rebellion?

Do you assume I did not? I already did. Still does not say what you claimed.

The verse I gave is the reason Manna is included, though you refuse to see it.

Moses said, "This is what the Lord has commanded: 'Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt.'" Exodus 16:32

I did not assume, that was why I asked you to clarify, chill.

I am not denying that verse you quoted exist. I am just explaining to you why the pot of mana can be seen as a symbol of Israel's rebellion too.

So if there are 3 items in the ark, and 2 of them represent rebellion, it is not too unreasonable to conclude that the final one also has the same meaning. Its like what we have been discussing about the trinity concept.

If you don't want to accept this, and I can understand the difficulty because of your current image of me you have in your movie screen, and want to believe otherwise, I am fine too.

It is handing them over to the worldly authorities to face conviction and the death penalty..
Yeah....ummmm...I am fairly confident that no one, 1st century A.D. would have been killed by the Roman State for fornication.....and for sure PAUL was not instructing the Corinthian assembly to hand over a member (withdraw fellowship) to ROMAN authorities for the destruction of the flesh to teach him not to blaspheme!

The person in question was not just guilty of fornication... This person was having sexual relations with his mother..

1 Corinthians 5: KJV
1 "It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife. {2} And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. {3} For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, {4} In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, {5} To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus."

Paul, under inspiration called it fornication...he was inspired, you are not...next!

How can a born again not know that they are born again.?

When God resides in their spirit......I find that hard to understand?

He also resides there never to leave...why do some people fight against that?

God has never left my heart and never will.....but on saying that as a new babe...I did think he would leave if I didn’t behave.....
Must be to do with growing in faith...I think I may have answered one of the questions...dooooooh.

This is where one needs to read the Bible to confirm he will never leave us....which I never did.

It is filled with doctrines they claim they are against in their guidlines yet they promote and keep those who hold to said views while banning others.
Some wonderful God believing ppl are in the forums, then there are those who enjoy antagonizing others, name calling, belittling, even to the point of calling others satantic and of the devil.
You can join for free but this site will shipwreck you faith, and break you down spiritually!
May God forgive and may this site in the name of "Christian" be closed down and prosecuted by the law!
