Don't understand what you're saying. The Bible predicts these huge cosmic and seismic calamities...along with the world's entire population falling to their knees in horror. Read Rev. 6. There is a climactic finality. This has never happened.
Lk 23:30, "Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us."

Rev 6:16, "And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us.....".

Lk 23:30, "Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us."

The passage in Lk, is about the dest of Jerusalem.

Jesus said directly to the women of Jerusalem of those days in V 28, "...weep for yourselves, and for your children."

Rev 6:16, "And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us.....".

This is a picture of the fulfillment of the destruction in 70 ad.

Acts 2:16-21,

Peter said, V 16, "This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel."

"This is", in other words, this is the fulfillment of that prophecy.

V 17, "The latter days", so since the Day of Pentecost, it has been the latter days.

V 17-18, The things mentioned here are confirmed in 1 Cor., in the church, starting at Pentecost.

--

V 19-20, When do these events occur?

35-37 years in the future at the dest of Jerusalem? Or 2000 years later?

--

Since Peter said that the Day of Pentecost was the fulfillment of Joel, you would think that the fulfillment of the dest of Jeru. was not far off time in the time line.

The dest of Jeru. has been a prophecy of Ezek and others, Ezek 5:5, 10, 12, 16-17. Lk 21:20-24.

What is a Peterist? Also as for the sun and moon going dark and the stars falling from the sky yes this will happen even though it has happened in the past. prophesy is like history it often times repeats itself many times it's a foreshadow of what is to come and many times bible prophecy will happen several times before it is truly fulfilled

Will the prophecies of Jesus, the Messiah, be fulfilled again by another?

Will there be another Pentecost?

Will there be another covenant with the shedding of the blood of Jesus again?

Another covenant without the blood of Jesus?

First i never said all prophecies will be repeated but this is in fact the pattern scattered all through out the bible prophecy is not always a one time thing and is also often times not what we expect it to be.

For instance you remember all the plagues in Egypt? sounds very similar to the stuff in revelation doesn't it? and another thing in his wrath against Pharoh God made sure anyone who had their doors with the blood of a lamb would be protected from death, sounds a whole lot like how we who are covered in the blood of the lamb do not fear death and are protected doesn't it?

This is a foreshadow of what is to come

Similar imagery, but only related in that imagery.

Fulfilled in the church.

This is a foreshadow of what is to come
Already fulfilled, we are members of the Kingdom and are protected, and need not fear death, at this present time.

How do you know it's only related to the imagery? does not a picture paint a thousand words? it's not simply coincidence that the imagery is similar it was a foreshadow of what is to come. as for that part being fulfilled in the church you are missing the point all of this is going to happen again in the tribulation except on a much more severe level and those marked by the blood of christ will be protected from it.

and yes you can say it was already fulfilled but as i said like history prophecy often times repeats itself

Hello Blain and abcdef,

First of all, the only ones who are protected during the time of God's wrath are the 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel and that only from the 5th seal, as found in Revelation 9:4. They may be protected from the other plagues of wrath, but it is simply not mentioned. And the group which is the remnant of the woman/Israel of Revelation 12 who gives birth to the male child, who are cared for out in the desert for that last 3 1/2 years.

Everyone else on the planet during the time of God's wrath, including the great tribulation saints introduced in Revelation 7 will be exposed to God's wrath because of the following:

"Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,’ nor any scorching heat. "

Them never hungering again is in reference to the results of the 3rd seal which represents famine.

The reference to never thirsting again, is in reference to the 3rd trumpet when that star like a huge torch falls on a third of the rivers and springs of water, contaminating them and killing many people who drink it. and also regarding the fact that at the pouring out of the 2nd and 3rd bowl, the ocean and all drinking water is turned into literal blood.

The sun not beating down on them nor any scorching heat, is in reference to the 4th bowl judgment, when the angel pours his bowl out on the sun allowing it to scorch the inhabitants of the earth with intense heat.

And last but not least, you will not find the word "Ekklesia/church" anywhere within the narrative of God's wrath and that's not by accident. Make no mistake the church is protected and that because the Lord will have gathered the church off the earth prior to when these plagues of wrath begin, just as he promised.

By the time Jesus returns to the earth to end the age, the majority of the population will have been decimated and all human government dismantled. This is why the Lord and the Apostles continue to warn all believers to watch and to be ready so that day doesn't take them by surprise.

The kingdom of Heaven came into the world at the first coming of Christ. Many of his teachings were about the kingdom. He used parables involving planting seeds and bearing fruit to explain how the kingdom would begin small and spread and finallyreplace all earthly kingdoms. He also described himself as the stone the builders rejected. In Daniels vision he saw a stone hitting the feet of the statue and the statue being destroyed as the stone became a great mountain filling the earth. The complete fulfillment of Christs teachings will take place at the second coming. But the kingdom is already here in part and Christs reigns from Heaven.

The destruction of the temple and City in AD70 marked the end of the Old Testament Age. This was the end of the age the Disciples asked Jesus about in Matthew 24 not the second coming. At that time they thought he was going to set up his kingdom there and then so the idea of a second coming never entered their heads. If one reads the previous chapter you can see that Jesus was speaking about the destruction of the Temple not the end of the world. It was that the Disciples asked him about. When will these things be, When will he come to judge and avenge all those from Abel to Zechariah whose blood was upon the present generation It was only after his death and resurrection that they realised he was to return a second time. The story in Luke about the Disciples on the road to Emmaus shows this. Jesus came beside them and explained it all to them

I guess the beauty of rapture doctrine is that no historical proof can ever be elicited on the matter.

It's all mañana. Or Perhaps even: mañana from heaven.

The historical proof of the destruction of Jerusalem is written on the arch of Titus.

It is also rumoured that the Vatican libraries and cellars contain many Jewish relics and artefacts.
A complete eye witness account of the destruction and graphic descriptions of the horrors that occurred can be read in the Jewish War by Josephus. It is from him that we have most of the information about it.

According to Pre trib Rapture belief we are to be taken from the Earth for seven years to protect us from the tribulation wrath and to come and partake in a seven year long banquet in heaven. Paul states that the dead will rise first and those living will be changed in a twinkling of an eye. If we all receive immortal bodies like Jesus why would it be necessary to take us all off only to come back seven years later in the same bodies we went off with. How long is a twinkle? Is it long enough to experience wrath? Jesus remained here for forty days after his resurrection and ate with his Disciples so having to go to heaven for a feast would be unnecessary. Why have a seven year tribulation anyway and where in scripture is this precise and continuous period of Tribulation mentioned? According to some the whole period of the second coming lasts between the length of the three fall feasts of New Year, Yom Kippur and Tabernacles which are all considered to be connected with it. If you check out a Jewish Calendar you will find they fall far short of seven years.

That is of course if the pretrib rapture is not only true but also happens as pretrib believers think it will. I do not claim to know if the rapture will happen as most think it will nor do i claim to know exactly how prophecy works but I have seen what is to come and it doesn't seem to add up exactly like that. since it's you Ahwatukee and since i highly respect your input in regards to the end times i will tell you of the stuff i have been shown. first and foremost one of the repeating things I have seen have has been a solar eclipse there were several visions i had in which a powerful solar eclipse was involved one recently was when i was standing outside and i saw a solar eclipse the sky went dark but more than that it was as if the sky was ripped open there clearly a hole in which it appeared another dimension was there for all to see.

I have also seen the rapture happen far more times than i can count yet i also have seen a peculiar people who were neither angels nor human i only knew them as holy people they were so deeply enriched with God's love and power even more so than the apostles were simply standing near them you would be overflowed with healing and love in abundance just their steps alone turned a barren dry ground into a flourishing green and beautiful land and I saw these people in that time of blood and darkness in the time where according to many all of God's children would have been raptured away.

If in fact we all are to go in the rapture then why did God show me this? and what does the moon and the sun becoming one in the solar eclipse have to do with it?

I could care less if you believe me or not I was talking to ahatukee because i know he has a lot of understanding in the spirit about this stuff, these are only some of things i have been shown and their like puzzle pieces but i have no idea how to fit them in.
