I haven't been linked even once to historical evidence which might demonstrate the preterists' arguments. I'm all ears. Fire away. In another thread just now, a pret is claiming this grand prophecy of the sun and moon going dark (turning blood-red in the case of the moon) and the stars falling from the sky AND a number of other things happening...ALL simultaneously...that all of this has previously happened.

There is no historical evidence,and if a person were to tell a historian concerning what they believe,that historian would say,get out of my face with your silliness.
Dan 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

This is the Roman Empire,who do not lose their dominion until God puts them down,and the next kingdom to come is the world split in to ten sections,with a leader in each section,and the beast shall come from the ten horns.
Dan 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
Dan 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

The 4th beast,the Roman Empire,which is all Gentile nations together with the spirit of Babylon,for they represent the kingdom of man,and human religion,shall devour the whole earth,tread it down,and break it in pieces,and when they are put down,then the saints shall possess the kingdom on earth,which we do not see that.
Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
The beast has power over all nations,and kindreds,and tongues.

God has not punished the world yet for their sins,and iniquities,against Him,for that is coming in the future,when God allows all who do not love Him to follow the beast kingdom,and brings Israel to the truth.
Zec 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
Zec 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

God will gather all nations together against Jerusalem,and the whole earth shall be gathered together against her,and then God will put them down,save Israel,and the heathen shall have to go up year after year to worship the LORD at Jerusalem,in which the heathen shall not acknowledge no one,but the LORD.
God did not punish the Roman Empire for going against Israel in the first century,because they rejected Christ,which Jesus said,their house is desolate until they say blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord,and they are blinded in part,until salvation is no longer available to the Gentiles,which will happen at the beast kingdom in the future,when salvation is no longer available to the Gentiles,and then God will turn Israel to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah.
The second attack on Jerusalem is because Israel as a nation accepted Christ,which will happen in the future.
Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
These things can only be known if there is advanced technology to see what the world is doing,for how would the saints in the first century know of nations,and kingdoms,going against each other,and famines,and pestilences,and earthquakes,that happen on different parts of the earth with such a limited view of the earth.
If there was no technology today,like it was like back then,how much could we know of what is going on in the earth.
Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Dan 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
Dan 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
Daniel could not understand what was told him because they will not understand until there is advanced travel,and technology,so how could the saints in the first century know of things that occur all over the earth.
Mat 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
Mat 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

The saints shall be hated of all nations,and the Gospel preached in to all the world for a witness unto all nations.

Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

How could there be so much spiritual deception back in the first century,which the second beast in Revelation 13 does great wonders to convince the world that the first beast obtained power through nature,and shared this power with the second beast,and will share this power with all who follow him.
But God warns us of the new age movement(1 Timothy 4:1-5,2 Timothy 4:2-4)that shall come about at the latter times,the last days of the last days,that has an interpretation of the Bible based on spiritual evolution through nature,and witchcraft,and the man of sin will do lying wonders for he gets his power from Satan.
The new age movement will unify the religions,with an interpretation of the Bible,Islam,and Judaism,to fit that format,and the man of sin will support the new age movement,which is where the spiritual deception happens to a great deal.
There would not be so much spiritual deception back then in the first century,but in the future,and the new age movement is the future for this sinful world,a belief of the exaltation of people,and no personal God.
The second attack on Jerusalem is because they accepted Christ,and it involves the whole world,and all prophesy did not happen in the first century.
Nah 2:3 The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.
Nah 2:4 The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
