Heb 4:2, "For this message was preached to us, as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not benefit them, because they did not share in the faith of those who obeyed.

My bible states....For unto us was the gospel preached, as well unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with FAITH in them that HEARD IT.....

Faith cometh by HEARING and HEARING by the word of God

The word HEARD is---->AKOUO and means to hear, understand, to come to the ear

You addition is red does not match the Greek text nor does it match the bible!

this is off topic i'm sure, but that is totally correct and right and true, and it means so much more in context of all God's Purpose and Plan and Scripture, as the very same care and shepherding is indicated very often by Jesus.....
and in the time it was written, (not in later conversions it went through) , the ekklesia knew exactly this - Jesus is with us. Jesus teaches us. Jesus walks with us. Jesus will not ever, not ever, no never forsake us nor abandon us..... (Hebrews 13 in the original)....

the importance of this is so much more than any charismtc assembly realizes or teaches..... or most other groups for that matter, today.
