The way the verse is punctuated, 'that' means one thing, you can miscontrue, be dumb like mari, mocking, whatever, I could care less, go ahead and write down a list of all 8 words or whatever there are like she did and say 'Which one will you pick", it still doesn't change the Truth.

The word is 'faith' that 'that' refers too period

Those that like to miscontrue God's holy inspired words which were , I believe, thus punctuated with same divine inspiration, can. I choose not too. Eg chooses too and some others too , I am sure from OSAS becase it

just
does
not
stack
up.

Doesn't . The word is 'faith,' go 'tautology' on that, mari :)
Keep in mind, you were rude to me and your words really should have you just about on the exodus from this site......

I think your blasphemy is well understood, in fact I know it is, you try, anyway, to deny the Truth, oh well, like I said, it t'aint changing :)

For by grace you are saved comma through faith comma em dash and that not of yourselves, it is a freee gift of God comma that no one should boast.

The commas set off the words perfectly comma what are you confused question mark :)

But, it doesn't matter, does it, just forget about the abusive doctrine of this OSAS point I made of 'faith' for Ephesians 2:8 correct reference, go for it, just pointing out a Truth, and, maybe, it can just mean 'saved' or 'grace' or 'faith' and it just doesn't matter. Maybe I was just having fun with grammar for this one, but, eg, insists it is saved, somewhat vehemently, and, grandpa too seemed pretty influential trying for 'works,' and then did someone say 'that' referred to grace?

Hm
There is no punctuation in the greek.
You don't care though. You just love the sound of your own clanging symbols.
You are simply over-riding what God said, because you are led by a spirit.
Not God's Spirit.

Mari, 'if I have not love'

Love does not anger easily, nor is it harsh or rude.

Green ... i understand what youre saying somewhat.

The thing is, does this argument even really matter so much?

Will we not be seen by ourselves as we are fully known? So in that we will see truth we do not know while we are on Earth?

So what use comes from disputing what will always disputable up even until death?

Do not quarrel over disputable matters .. for he who eats vegetables does so to the Lord ...

In entirety and simplicity; the commandment to love thy neighbour means actively loving, giving, being charitable ...

And in entirety and simplicity; Jesus did not come to condemn, but to save.

In entirety and simplicity; the word faith is to do with complete belief in something, so much so as to 'give ones life and possessions' for it.

So then how even can faith be separated from works? For one is dead and meaningless without the other ..

It is but clanging bells and empty coins without love.

For God is love.

Christ was love too.

Be as He is. Busy. For we are saved. We are free. But do not use such freedom to indulge the flesh.

He came not only for our sins, but for the sins of the whole world.

I may do anything I want, but not all is beneficial.

So, what truly is beneficial to others? What can we do?

For pure religion is this; to visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction.

Just love. That is all.

The secret lies in not trying to be correct. To be knowledgeable. Nor to have the upper hand in argument.

But to bring peace. To forgive. To love. To be 'faithful/fruitful'.

For this HONOURS Jesus' sacrifice.

For how can I love what I cannot see, if I do not even love my brother.

The argument, the one-vs-other mentality itself, is vanity.

The one aho will say 'look what i have done',

Is the one who does not truly understand the nature of love.

It keeps no record against itself of the rights it does.

When you love someone, do you say, 'look at the present i bought you, it cost eighty pounds. The one you only got me was 30 pounds. Look how kuch better i have done'.

It's like that.

The worker will work, but still know in my heart 'i am not worthy nomatter what I do'.

To do it from LOVE and compassion is key. Not for reward. For those that do it for reward have their reward in the praise.

Those who will cultivate compassion for humanity will do it because to see someone hurt is hard to bear, and harder to ignore.

I love. Therefore, I love. Therefore, I love.

I want, therefore I try, therefore I am attached to expectation, therefore what I do is only for myself.

Your choice.

If I get attached to the idea of having something, i tend to look to the future blindly instead of numbering my days and staying focused on now.

I get the ides of having something, and cherish it so much that i forget about the here and now. nd the people in it.

I say for 'my salvation' instead of 'for God'.

So if anything, it is better not to strive for salvation, for that is already afforded to me. Instead i shall strive for the cultivation of compassion.

Starting with love for myself. Let me explain. If I can look inside my own mind and my own flaws, i soon realise i am not perfect. That looking inward is better than outward

I begin to realise my mistakes. My true sin. And in that I realise that we are not all so different. And think of times i myself would liked to have been afforded forgiveness. My empathy leads me onto a path of true clarity.

Abd it is this; meekness. Gentleness. Kindness. For I would like afforded such things.

Everyone is imperfect. That is why Jeus sat and ate and laughed. That is why He was so forgiving and kind and understanding of human nature.

I cannot claim righteousness if I shout, scream and lead a flock by fear of death and hell.

And I cannot love by looking only for my own ends.

So when I get to heaven I will say, 'God, you be my judge as I have been judge to others. God you repay me what I have paid to others. God, only you know my heart. Forgive those who sinned against me. If I shall die, let it be just payment. Allow me to see myself as you see me, God, so that I will know my sins through your eyes'.

One of the apostles famously said that if he could, he would go to hell to die and save his brothers from it.

The first will be last.
