Who is the Holy Spirit of God?
What can the HS do?
Why did Jesus send us the comforter (HS)?
Since we have The Holy Spirit, do we need anyone or anything other than the "Bible"?

Now take the best scripture you can find and answer these 4 questions.

the holy spirit will do the will of god for us in us he enables us to do the will of god 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. [h=3]John 16:13[/h]

hs also crucifies the flesh... Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.[h=3]2 Corinthians 5:17[/h]

how you think people have so many stories of how they miraculously change it's a supernatural event that takes place..i shared my testimony with this forum also with my encounter with the hs incredible experience... it enables us to do what god wants us to do makes us righteous

It IS a holy event, it is a guide, it is a way to understand and be part of God's spiritual world.

It is like owning a car so you can drive quickly to far off places. But if that car just sits there without you getting into it and driving it, it is useless to you. Most people are letting it sit in the driveway. You must read the bible, pray, and have our body do motions of obedience. We are often so lazy that we say the body is only flesh, so anything the body does is only of sin! That is what the ghostics taught, God says he created the body and it was good. God said the ghostics were wrong, so why should we follow that wrong path?

the flesh cannot do that we need to be born again to do the will of god, unless you will be " trying to make of body do motions of obedience" that is form of godliness.. the flesh cannot do it the spirit just does it, it won't be trying anything also understanding and the truth of the bible is revealed through the holy spirit someone without the holy spirit cannot understand what the bible is saying

In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. [h=3]2 Corinthians 4:4[/h]

but the spirit reveals all truth.

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. [h=3]John 16:13[/h]

I"m not sure i really like your title. it gives me the impression that you don't really care for the answer. :(

or perhaps you just want it brief? best scriptural answers that come to mind when I read the questions are:

Who is the Holy Spirit of God?
1 John 5:6-8

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Certainty of God’s Witness

[SUP]6 [/SUP]This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. [SUP]7 [/SUP]For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. [SUP]8 [/SUP]And there are three that bear witness on earth:[SUP][a][/SUP] the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

In Heaven the Holy Spirit is ONE with the Father and the Word. On Earth they agree as one.

What can the HS do?
teach sinners to become saints and bring forth fruits of the Spirit such as Love, peace, joy, patience, gentleness, faithfulness and self control.

Why did Jesus send us the comforter (HS)?
so that we know how much we are beloved and we never have to be alone again.

Since we have The Holy Spirit, do we need anyone or anything other than the "Bible"?
yes we need other people to love and to love us for we are just one part of the body. 1 Corinthians 12

Now take the best scripture you can find and answer these 4 questions.
I could give you more scriptures if you are truly interested but I just wanted to post and say Hi :)

The term "ghostic" is a category you've made up right here and placed people under, it's simply a matter of perspective and you're creating more division, we seriously don't need more sub-denominations because the church is already divisive enough. While I do tend to agree with you that our bodies are directly linked to the spiritual realm, our bodies are capable of doing much more than sin, but not through ourselves. Christ's body was destroyed to sin, and in the same way when we accept him our bodies are destroyed to sin - this doesn't mean that our flesh is literally dead. It just means that we are made alive in the spirit and that brings the sinful desires of the flesh under submission, so we are then able to go and bear fruits according to the Spirit, whereas when we where dead in our sin we only bore fruits of malice. He lives in me, and therefore when I sin, it's no longer I that do it, but the sin that's in me. I walk according to the Spirit, and not according to the desires of the flesh, but this body is still working against me. It is like a wrestle.
When I walk according to the Spirit, I am then able to bring the flesh under submission to do good. I don't bear fruits to produce faith, I have faith which produces fruit.

Romans 8:13
For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Hello back:) and I'm sorry I posted the questions and title so crude, but that's me. I like your answers but the forth question was not quite what I ment although for the way it reads the answer is just fine. I ment Now that we have the HS and the bible, do we need anyone else to teach us or can the Spirit do it all by His self? And a scripture was asked for for an answer to that question.

I worded the last statement wrong, it should say, now give me one good scriptural answer for each question. Just one each.
why is this necessary ? it is the baptism of the holy spirit that saves us i don't see the sense of this thread that's pretty all you need to know, the spirit tells us from god what he wants us to do and does it in us

Maybe this :

1 John 5:7

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one.

The comforter if I'm not mistaken is the written word, and also The Holy Spirit. In John 1 Christ is the living word, He he was always since the beginning.

John 5 :39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life ( speaking of those that wanted to kill Him ):""" and they are they which testify of me."""

The word does testify of Christ. They teach Christ.

Maybe those will help.

Also What Josh mentioned :

John 16:13

King James Version (KJV)

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

John 16:7-14; Acts 2

I believe God still uses people who are older and have more wisdom to teach us and help us become mature in Christ.

You can find it through the Bible. Jesus had His disciples and taught them. Paul was taught for three years in the wilderness after he was blinded by Jesus and made to see again. Timothy is sometimes referred to as Paul's spiritual son.

The Holy Spirit allows us to know when others are lying or trying to lead us AWAY from Jesus but God still works through godly people to train us in His ways. He still have teachers to show us His words and we have brethren to help us do the good works God wants us to do.

When we are mature and fully grounded in the faith of Christ we need no man to teach us, but for the most part we are babes still learning our letters.

How old was Jesus before He started teaching?

the book of Philippians tells us to look to those who walk and follow the good examples they set but know that there are some who walk that are enemies to the Cross of Christ, who worship the god of their bellies and keep their sights on things of this world and not upon the upward calling of God. (Philippians 2)

I'm sorry I'm not good at just giving one verse. I think to truly understand the message one has to read the whole letter or at the very least the chapter or whole story/episode/parable.

But these verses always are a good reminder for myself:

Philippians 4
[h=3][/h][SUP]8 [/SUP]Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. [SUP]9 [/SUP]The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
