i have a hard time with 2 Thessalonians 1:8 He will punish those who do not know God.

That would say to me we are born with the spirit because if where not born with the spirit then that would say to me that we don't know him until someone tels us and how can anyone get to know him if no one tells us ?

And if we are born with the spirit then where does born again christian come from ? and surely we must know him if he writes his laws on our hearts ?

If you were sincere you would have expressed your sincerity. You didn't.

All you did was try to show how awesome you are by attempting to call Jesus by His formal hebrew name.

I'm called many things. Grandpa, Dad, a few nicknames, as well as my formal name. I know when people are referring to and calling on me. If my children or grandchildren called me by my formal name I would think that was weird. I wouldn't allow it.

People who don't know me I expect them to call me by my formal name. Not using a nickname or familiar name.

Interesting concept, wouldn't you say?
There are a few people in My church who have such a relationship they Call God Dad, or Daddy when they pray. Of course the term Abba Father in the english is a term much Like Dad or Daddy, it shows endearment and love. It did not come to me until one day when I was Watching NCIS, and Zeva's Father was killed. She cried out. ABBA! in Tears.

This is what God wants to me, Our Abba Father or Daddy. I am sure many of the legalists would be oppauled at the thought of called God daddy, But that is what he want to be to us. Like a father..

Jesus meaning saviour, deliverer and Christ meaning anointed, anointed one. So its not exactly a nickname but a description of who He is. The Anointed Saviour and Deliverer, The Anointed One of God.

I don't think the Lord is disappointed by people calling Him Jesus Christ. Do you?

well I guess if people are angry and cursing using his name, He is offended. But no. Calling him Jesus Christ is calling him the annointed one, Which he is.

He is the Messiah (hebrew)
He is the Christos (Greek)
He is the Christ (English)

Jesus Christ is what the King James authorized. He who conquers gets to write the history. It is not the name He heard in His ear when He walked on earth.
he most assuredly did hear his name spoken in greek. Jesus Christ is the english pronunciation of the greek. you're just clueless about God's plan, and evidently think against His will some devils wrote the new testament in greek. you're actually speaking against him when you criticize his wisdom. you know nothing about the diaspora, either.

The name, Jesus is the final product of being transliterated first from Hebrew to Greek, then from Greek to Latin, then giving us the Anglicized version, Jesus.

Were they all to be translated rather than transliterated, you have His glorious name in English as Salvation. The angel instructed Mary to call the Baby's name, Salvation, because He was to save His people.

While Yeshua walked His earth He would have heard all calling Him, Yeshua or ישוע.

This is not an attempt on, nor a challenge to anyone's belief, it is just the way things are.

It was prophesied in the Bible, and the Catholic Church not only admits, but boasts of it. If you sincerely wish me to provide evidence, I will gladly. However, I won't until you say, because that's been around the block a time or 2 already. The Sabbath is the only commandment that causes us to be "marked" of God, yet the majority don't see the Word on that, even tho it is plainly stated more than once. Even tho, the "lawless one" is behind the "change of times and seasons". Again, that would be the Catholic Church..

Yeah, I would like you to show me that the Sabbath is the "Mark" that shows that we are Christian.

Ez. 9:1-11 Then He cried out in my hearing with a loud voice saying, “Draw near, O executioners of the city, each with his destroying weapon in his hand.” [SUP]2 [/SUP]Behold, six men came from the direction of the upper gate which faces north, each with his shattering weapon in his hand; and among them was a certain man clothed in linen with a writing case at his loins. And they went in and stood beside the bronze altar.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Then the glory of the God of Israel went up from the cherub on which it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed in linen at whose loins was the writing case. [SUP]4 [/SUP]The Lord said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, even through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst.” [SUP]5 [/SUP]But to the others He said in my hearing, “Go through the city after him and strike; do not let your eye have pity and do not spare. [SUP]6[/SUP]Utterly slay old men, young men, maidens, little children, and women, but do not touch any man on whom is the mark; and you shall start from My sanctuary.” So they started with the elders who were before the temple. [SUP]7 [/SUP]And He said to them, “Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!” Thus they went out and struck down the people in the city. [SUP]8 [/SUP]As they were striking the people and I alone was left, I fell on my face and cried out saying, “Alas, Lord God! Are You destroying the whole remnant of Israel by pouring out Your wrath on Jerusalem?”
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Then He said to me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is very, very great, and the land is filled with blood and the city is full of perversion; for they say, ‘The Lord has forsaken the land, and the Lord does not see!’ [SUP]10 [/SUP]But as for Me, My eye will have no pity nor will I spare, but I will bring their conduct upon their heads.”
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Then behold, the man clothed in linen at whose loins was the writing case reported, saying, “I have done just as You have commanded me.”

The mark that he placed on their heads was the Sabbath? I know you will just say that he marked them because they observed the Sabbath (which they would because they were under the old law) but he says they are marked because they are bothered / troubled / grieved by the abominations that was being committed in their midst.
Its simple if you don't honor the sabbath on a Saturday and you do it on a Sunday you are of catholic tradition or other traditions like maybe your own tradition and not Gods tradition.

the SABBATH It is easy you can work but you should do so all day without grumbling and scowling and scoffing and this you can do everyday to. (this is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are.)

1 John 3:10
Children of God

9No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

God wants peace on satarday :) he wants mercy and he wants respect and most of all God does not want you to Go your own way on satarday
like you are now here claiming the sabbath is any other day that is goi ng your own way(THE SABBATH IS SATARDAY :) GOOD SHOUT YES BRING DOWN THE WALLS OF JERICO ) and please dont take this as an insult but as the truth. The truth will set you free .

Well if this is what you think of the word of God I do not know what to tell you.

You seem to have issues with people giving their idea of what the word says, so i figured I owuld just allow you to make up your own mind.

forgive me.

[SUP]18 [/SUP]For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, [SUP]19 [/SUP]because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. [SUP]20 [/SUP]For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, [SUP]21 [/SUP]because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. [SUP]22 [/SUP]Professing to be wise, they became fools, [SUP]23 [/SUP]and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, [SUP]25 [/SUP]who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. [SUP]27 [/SUP]Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; [SUP]29 [/SUP]being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,[SUP][c][/SUP] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, [SUP]30 [/SUP]backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, [SUP]31 [/SUP]undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,[SUP][d][/SUP] unmerciful; [SUP]32 [/SUP]who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them

you stated you had a question about God punishing them who do nt know him. Your answer is there in black and right.

Right so no one will have an excuse ok that is Good and i think that is correct, am i still recovering from the noah movie and my head is spinning pleas forgive for not understanding you.

SO LETS LOOK AT THIS STATEMENT NOW :)

no one has an excuse to this
[h=3]Matthew 5:19[/h][h=1]Matthew 5:19[/h]New International Version - UK (NIVUK)

[SUP]19 [/SUP]Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practises and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Now looking would you say no one has an excuse if they teach against the sabbath

While Yeshua walked His earth He would have heard all calling Him, Yeshua or ישוע.
why are people so opposed to actual history? do some research on the region, at the time. greek was a common language of the day.

John 12
20 Now there were certain Greeks among those who came up to worship at the feast. 21 Then they came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”

did these greeks speak hebrew? or did the disciples understand greek. the answer is obvious.
there's nothing evil about the greek language or any other. nothing evil about people calling on Jesus in their native language, which for some hebrews was GREEK.

THE LANGUAGES SPOKEN BY JESUS
Aaron Tresham

For decades scholarly consensus has held that Jesus usually spoke the Aramaic language. To evaluate the accuracy of this assumption, one must investigate to learn which language(s) was(were) spoken in Israel during the first century A.D., and whether the sayings of Jesus in the Gospels record the spoken Greek of Jesus or are translations of what He said in Hebrew or Aramaic. Evidence for the use of Aramaic in the areas where Jesus lived and taught is strong, but not necessarily strong enough to exclude His use of other languages. Hebrew was not a dead language after the Babylonian Exile as some have assumed. Documents, inscriptions, and coins have shown the continued use of Hebrew during the time that Jesus was in Israel, particularly in the area of Judea.

The fact that the Gospels as well as the rest of the NT were originally written in Greek bolsters the case for a widespread use of Greek in Jesus’ time. Specific instances of internal evidence in the NT itself, along with widespread use of the Septuagint, in the NT indicate the trilingual nature of first-century Israel. Indications that are external to the NT also show the use of Greek in Jesus’ first-century surroundings. Yet impressive voices question the case for Greek as the language Jesus used. A weighing of the evidence on both sides seems to indicate that Jesus spoke and taught in both Greek and Aramaic, with the degree to which He used each one yet to be clarified by further research on this important subject.

If people wish to believe revised history, and most seem to do this today, they will.

Had Yeshua or His disciples taught the Jews in any other language than their own and the language of the writings, that would have been cause for the Pharisees to ridicule and condemn them. Even today in Temples around the world, the Torah is read in Hebrew.

I was reading today how Jesus spoke and taught in Greek. Of course this was from a Greek Orthodox website. He did not speak or teach Torah in any language but Hebrew/Aramaic. It would have been cause for condemnation. All one need do is think for a moment.

I forgot to mention that for one thousand five hundred years, theologians taught that Moses came down from the mountain with horns coming out of his head. If you need proof, look at Michaelangelo's sculpt of Moses. I look to the Holy Spirit and to the Word for learning in the sight of Yahweh, never to scholars. My Father is not impressed by their cumulative knowledge.

ZZ, thank you. I do not believe Michaelangelo was mocking Moses by any means. He had to do what he was told to do, and the scholars believed when Moses came down from the mountain he had horns emitting from his head. Actually the word was rays, like rays of light, emitting from his head, and the Children of Israel were afraid to look at him, so he covered his head with the veil, the veil of Moses.

my point is this when someone creates a statue like this it is upto them to say yes or no to whoever wants them to create it, ?
